Here is another chapter, for all my readers, thank you for your support ^^ I hope you all like this chapter, as well as the next

The week went by rather quickly.

Morning meals, followed by Yuri going out to find crystals, taking care of his crops or to make business in the city. Spyro and Cynder were left alone in the house to play and take care of the shores, alternating it with Yuri.

They played together a few games, and went outside to watch the clouds or play tag and Hide and Seek. Them Yuri would come back and they would go back inside and have dinner and then they stayed together for quite a while before giving good night and heading to their beds.

There was one thing that, for Spyro, had became part essential of this routine: whenever he had free time, he laid in his bed or in the couch, and tried to write the lyrics for Yuri's song.

Spyro spent hours there trying to find the right thing to write; sometimes he stayed up till late trying to write it down. But it was really difficult, there were so much things that he wanted to say, and it was hard to make it sound musical.

He even asked Yuri to play the whole melody of said song to him for him to get used to it, and start making out a way to fit lyrics in it. Besides, every time he was able to put it down, he had lacks or it simply didn't sounded good enough. Then he would rip the paper and throw it away to start again.

Spyro did not give up, though; he was still trying, still fighting to write it down for Yuri. To tell him how much he was thankful and how much he owned him. It was now a new goal for him.

Spyro was just laying in the bed, with his feather and paper in hand, and a pile of crushed paper on the floor, when he heard Yuri's voice "We ran out of supplies."

Spyro raised his head to look at him, and did Cynder, who was washing the dishes "I'll go buy some."

The wolf was heading to the front door, when Spyro jumped out of the sofa and said "I go with you!"

Both Yuri and Cynder looked surprised at the purple dragon, who only said "I need to get some walking around. Maybe it help me write the lyrics." Was all he said.

"But Spyro-" Cynder tried to say, but Spyro cut her off "I want to go!" he said with a seriousness that surprised both her and Yuri. There was silence for a few moments, ad both looked a the purple dragon, and Yuri sighed "If you really want."

"But-" Cynder tried, but Yuri said "We won't make him change his mind, I can see in his eyes."

Cynder went silent, and then said "Then I'll go too!" Both stared at her, and Yuri smiled "So, we are all going."

They went outside and Yuri locked the door, then they resumed walking to the direction of the gates. Once again, when they entered, the guards glared almost angrily at them.

Once inside, they walked among the city, in direction of the barracks, Yuri carrying a basket under his arm with many golden coins in it.

There was reaction of the people around them. Some people stared at them almost angrily, and some whispered to each other. Mothers took their children away as they came closer, and everyone seemed to avoid them.

They went over the barracks, buying supplies from one place to the other as they found what they needed. Some buyers had the good faith of at least pretending to be nice at them, while others, made no visible effort to do so.

They had received threats, nasty words, insults and angry glares from many people who they passed by. There was once even an event where Yuri was hit in the chest by a tomato, that crushed itself in him and stayned his fur with its juice.

"Who threw this!?" Spyro said angrily looking at all sides, trying to pin-point the starting point of the offending fruit. Many backed away at the expression of the purple dragon.

Spyro felt a hand in his shoulder, and turned to meet Yuri's smile "Its okay." The wolf said assuring "I'm used to it. Let's keep going."

Spyro even tried to protest, but the wolf kept assuring him that it was alright until he dropped the matter, and they continued their way across the city without further incidents.

In their way, Spyro could not help but think Why they do this? Yuri never did bad to anyone, nor did Cynder, nor I, he said in his own head And yet, they hate us like we are committing a crime just because we exist. His thoughts of questioning soon were turning into ones of anger.

Those darn bastards! They don't even know us, they have no right to judge us! They are the ones who deserved to die!

Spyro's thoughts were interrupted when Yuri's voice rang "Well, I guess this is all."

Spyro turned to look at the wolf, who now had a basket full of fruits, veggies, meat and other supplies. "So, anywhere you want to go before we head back home?" He asked the two dragons, but Spyro noticed that this question seemed more directed to Cynder than to him.

Cynder said, "Yeah, I'd like to visit mom." Yuri nodded, and so they went walking to Cynder Mother's grave. Once arriving, Yuri and Spyro stayed behind as Cynder walked to the grave.

The wolf and dragon stood there, in silence. Yuri noticed that Spyro was with a grumpy expression as he looked to the ground.

"Something is wrong?" the wolf asked, and Spyro, a bit surprised, said "N-no, is everything alright."

The wolf did not buy it, and looked at him serious "Spyro, what is wrong?"

The purple dragon looked at him, and sighed before saying "I'm angry."

Yuri looked at him as he talked "I'm angry with all of them, angry with this city. They look at us as if we were monsters or freaks, they talk about us like they know us just because of our appearance, or because of our past! I wish they all would burn!"

This last sentence made Yuri adopt a serious expression, but he had no time to say anything, as Spyro continued talking "I'm angry about the idiot Blast, and specially about Terrador and Nova! All the things I did for them, and they never cared about me! I even made a lot of paintings of us together!"

This got Yuri's attention "Paintings? You paint?" he asked, and Spyro sighed "I started doing it as a hobbie. I believed that maybe it could make them see something good in me. I was a fool."

Yuri looked at him "And, where are those paintings now?"

"What does it matter?" asked Spyro "They were all useless."

But Yuri insisted "Spyro, I just want to see those things you painted. I'd really like to."

Spyro looked at him, and sighed "I kept them into an alley next to my… old home."

"Could you take me there?" he asked, in the moment Cynder just got back. Spyro sighed "Okay."

Cynder took a few moments to notice what was going in there, due to Yuri's explanation. And Spyro took them to walk around the city, passing by streets and by many people who stared daggers at them.

"It's here." Spyro said, as they walked into a desert alley with a few trashcans around. Spyro then walked to the brick wall, and removed a few loose bricks, to reveal an empty space in the wall.

Yuri and Cynder looked at him surprised as he took off some canvas and pieces of cloth and paper.

"Here you go." He said in a monotone tone, as if it was something lamme.

Yuri and Cynder looked in the paintings, and their eyes widened.

"Spyro!" said Cynder "They… they're beautiful!"

In fact, the paintings were very well made. Though they had been made only with limited ink, and some with charcoal, they were like made by a professional.

The lines were perfectly made and formed images, and there was use of light and shadow and even perspective in them.

There was several images of Spyro with the dragons they assumed that were his parents. In one they were all eating together, in other, they were all happy and laughing, in another, he was being carried by his mother, who had a happy smile in her face. In other, he was in his father's head, both seemed to been laughing. And in yet another, he was flying with his parents.

"Spyro…" said Yuri marveled "This is amazing! You are an artist!"

"They're just scraps." Spyro said like who doesn't care. "Only dreams of something that would never be."

Yuri and Cynder could both understand what he was saying. In all the paintings Spyro was with his parents, and they were all happy as a family.

Then Cynder noticed the green dragon that could be Spyro's father, and suddenly recognized him.

"Wait, isn't it… Terrador, the earth guardian?" She asked, and Yuri looked, and recognized him too. "Yeah! Spyro, Terrador is your father?"

The purple dragon answered with a dry "Yes." And he seemed even more grumpy them before "We should just burn those dawn paintings."

Yuri looked at him "I'd like to keep them." The wolf said "If you don't mind."

Spyro looked at him "Do as you like." He said, seeming depressed. And Yuri and Cynder shared a look, and Yuri packed all the paintings and drawings as he said "Lets go back home."

And so they all resumed walking, having again people staring at them strange, they were halfway out of the city when someone called. "Hey, wolf!"

They turned around to see a grey-colored dragon coming to them "I need to talk to you about some more crystals!" he said, and Yuri looked at him. "Couldn't it be tomorrow? We are going back ho-"

"Listen here you faggot!" the dragon said, interrupting him like he was talking to a cockroach "You should be happy for me wanting to give you more money than you are worthy! Now bring your sorry tail here!"

Spyro snarled at the bigger dragon, but Yuri stopped here "This can take a while, why don't you go search around? Just don't go far." He said as he walked to talk with the grey dragon.

Spyro was still staring daggers at the bigger dragon, and Cynder said "Lets go." And Spyro soon followed her.

"Why Yuri let that guy talk with him like that?" Spyro asked "Why he don't do anything?" Cynder turned to him "I guess it's because he is used to it."

"And why YOU let him be treated like that?" asked Spyro "Don't it make you angry that they treat him like this?"

"Of course it does!" said Cynder bluntly, "But Yuri says that is no use getting mad at them, and that if I did something it would only be worse for me." She seemed angry remembering this "He made me promise that I would not attack anyone because they insulted him. He says it's for my own good."

Spyro remained silent when she said that. Still, he wasn't willing to simply accept that people would talk to Yuri like that. He simple cound't accep that they treated Yuri like this just because he preferred males to females. It was so wrong.

Cynder noticed that he was becoming troubled, and looked around to see that they were near an entrance in the wall, with a sign saying "Only authorities are allowed entry"

She smiled "Wanna go see the inside of the walls?" Spyro turned to her, and looked to the entrance and the sign "But is it says its forbidden." Cynder chuckled "I don't care very much about rules."

Was all she said before going for the entry, and she signed to spyro "Lets go!" Spyro waited a little, and soon he walked behind her, leaving a mark with his claws next to the entry for Yuri know they had gone that way.

Inside, they went up in the stairs, that were big enough for an adult dragon to walk inside without any problem. They walked up, until they reached the top. At this point, Spyro was panting heavily. He just wasn't used to climbing that much.

They arrived in the door that gave opening to the upper part of the wall, a long hallway with stonewalls. Cynder climbed to the walls, and called "Hey Spyro, this is beautiful! Take a look!" She offered her paw to him.

With her help, Spyro was able to climb in the wall, and look over. It was almost the end of the afternoon, and the sun was on it's way to setting. There were clouds forming into the sky above them, but it did not hid the sun, nor reduced the beauty of the lights being cast in shades of orange and red over the land. It was beautiful.

Spyro smiled as he let himself be basked by those lights, feeling their warm spread over himself. Suddenly, he felt Cynder leaning in him. He first felt like pushing her, but he second-thought, and smiled as he let her rest in him.

Nothing could ruin this moment right now.

"Look at this!" called a voice that was well known for Spyro

Oh no! Please, not him! Not now!

Spyro and Cynder turned around to meet Blast, along with Bolder and Icicle, all staring daggers at them. "Didn't I told you they were together now?" asked Blast, obviously to his two companions, who both nodded.

"What do you want, scumbag!?" asked Cynder angrily as she jumped down of the wall, and Blast only glared back "I told you last week that it wasn't over, didn't I?"

"Please Blast!" said Spyro as he jumped to the ground too "We really don't want problem."

"Too late freak." He said glancing at Spyro, and then he double looked, seeing that now Spyro was missing one wing. "What is this?" he asked in an amused tone "Oh, did I must have hit your wing stronger than I thought last week." He said before laughing, Bolder and Icicle soon following his lead.

"Just when I thought you couldn't get any more pathetic!" said Blast, and Spyro could only cletchen his eyes and his teeth as he felt his blood boiling.

"Leave him alone you jerk!" Threatened Cynder as she stepped in his direction, but Icicle and Bolder got on her way. Cynder then scowled at Blast "What, do you need two brainless helpers to take care of me? I knew you were a coward."

"Go talking." Said Blast angry "But soon you will be begging for mercy, get her!"

So Bolder and Icicle jumped over Cynder, she only smirked as she vanished into a shadow in the ground, leaving both stunned as they landed in rock. Soon her paws and tail went from the shadow to hit them in the chins, stomachs, and even between their legs.

As they both recoiled in pain, the shadow moved to Blast. In the moment her paw came out, blast grabbed it "Not this time!" He said as he twisted the leg painfully, making Cynder lose her focus and materialize back solid.

"You two stop fooling around and help me with her!" Blast ordered his two companions, who got up from, the ground, and started walking in Cynder's direction. When suddenly, as purple blur landed in Bolder's back.

"No!" Screamed Spyro as he held tight on Bolder's neck. The earth dragon grunted annoyed. Spyro was too weak to make him any real damage, but was still having a tight grip.

Bolder shook his body and head, trying to shake Spyro off his back. But Spyro was determined to not let them hurt Cynder, and was holding on like his life depended on it.

He would have kept his grip, if he had not been hit by some ice needles, that pieced his skin on the side of his body. Spyro screamed in pain and slumped form Bolder's back to the ground, wincing slightly. Spyro already knew that the needles were a courtesy of Icicle.

"Why do you even try fighting?" asked Blast "You know you are wea-" he was suddenly cut off when Cynder swung her tail and slammed it in his face, her tail blade making a small cut in his cheek, granting enough pain for him to let go of her.

Cynder immediately turned to the two dragons near Spyro, and opened her mouth. She emitted some kind of blood-curling screech as rings od red energy projected out of her mouth, hitting square at the two dragons.

They immediately winced, and fell to the ground. They were having horrible thoughts, their worst fears coming to their minds like a living nightmare. They wheeped and squirmed into the ground.

Spyro lookedat them and then back to Cynder "Fear." She said simply "Another particular thing of mine."

"Look out!" Spyro said to her, and she turned around to see Blast jumping over her. She immediately let go a small hurricane in his direction, making he by blew backwards.

Blast lost control for a few moments as he spun in the air, but was able to recover, and fly back at Cynder. The black dragoness was ready to breathe a hurricane to blow him to the neighbor kingdom, but suddenly, a piece of rock raised from the ground and hit her in the belly, making she lost her breathe and fall gasping to the ground.

Only then Spyro noticed that Bolder had raise from the ground, and Icicle was following him, both were still seeming stunned, and shaking a bit. Spyro even tried to jump over them, but Bolder hit him in the face, sending him reeling for three feet.

While this, Blast landed in front of Cynder, chuckling "Not so brave now, are you, freak?"

Cynder was able to raise her paw, to hit the red dragon in the chin, making him yelp and held his face in pain as he could swear that her claws had slightly dug in his skin.

He roared, and slammed his paw in Cynder's face, making her yelp to. He started to beat her in the chest and belly. Spyro could hear her cries, and was able to get up and start walking in Blasts direction. Anger clear in his face.

But he barely made a couple of steps before he felt Bolder ram his side, senting him reeling back for a few feet. He laid there, wincing in pain as Blast finished with Cynder, she was bruised, but very much conscious.

Blast smiled to himself "Well, seems like the terrible spawn of Malefor and the purple dragon aren't all of that in the end." And he laughed, being followed by Bolder and Icicle, though their laughter was a bit weak, due top their still being shaken form the effects of Cynder's fear breath.

"You bastards…" they heard a Spyro's voice saying. They all now were looking at him, who was struggling to get up "You attack two dragons who did nothing to you… and even when they can't defend themselves… you are pathetic."

Blast answered by shooting a fireball in Spyro, blasting him back as it burned the side of his body with second-degree burnts. Spyro winced in the ground as he tried to get up again, only to have Bolder stomping in his chest and almost breaking his ribs.

Blast smiled to himself as he looked down to Spyro "You can't withstand a single attack and you call us pathetic? You really are one bad joke." He said with despise "Your life is nothing but a bad joke."

Cynder groaned and triewd to get up, only to be forced down by Icicle. The ice dragon breathed an freezing mist over her wing, making it be covered into solid ice, and unable to move.

Cynder gasped at the numbing cold and stiffness of her wing, now she was unable to move it. Blast laughed "Well, well, well, now we have two pathetic dragons that can't fly!"

Spyro and Cynder still tried to fight, struggling uselessly against the dragons holding them down. Blast chuckled "Oh, you want to be let go? So I will let you two go."

All dragons stopped and stared at Blast, who was grinning evily "Lets see if a dragon can fly with just one wing! Bolder, Icicle, thrown them from the wall!"

Cyndefr and Spyro gasped when they heard that, and even Icicle and Bolder, who normally did everything that Blast told them, were taken back by such an extreme request.

"T-thrown them?" asked Bolder "B-but, their wings… they will drop like rocks."

"That is exactly the idea." Said Blast vehemently, and then Icicle, who normally was silent, talked "But, isn't this too extreme? What we will say if anyone..?"

"Are you questioning me?" he asked almost angrily and Icicle flinched "I-I'm just saying that we don't have to…"

"I asked your opinion?" the red dragon said once more "Just throw them already!"

Both dragons nodded, and slowly started to drag the struggling Spyro and Cynder to the edge of the wall under Blast's hard stare. He grinned as he saw Spyro and Cynder fighting for their lives.

"So, now, who wants to be thrown first?" he asked with a grin that made even Bolder and Icicle have chills. Cynder glared daggers at him "Go to hell!" she shouted in his face.

Blast only smiled "So, you go first." He said as he grabbed Cynder by the neck, and dangled her from the wall. Even Icicle was scared, knowing full well that Blast wasn't kidding this time.

Spyro struggled under Bolder with renewed vigor "Leave her alone!" he shouted "Leave her alone you psycho bastard!"

"And you keep quiet!" Blast roared, "Soon it will be your turn!"

"You are nothing but a coward!" screamed Spyro, and the scene seemed to freeze, Blast slowly turned his gaze to him "What did you just called me, freak?"

Spyro glared angrily at him "I called you what you are!" he said "You are a coward! You always picked up in me because I was weaker than you! One week ago, when Cynder showed she was able to fight back, you simply ran away like a scared mouse! And now you came back with two dragons to help you, and is acting brave now just because none of us can fight back! Only cowards act this way! YOU ARE A COWARD!"

Blast glared daggers at Spyro, and he moved Cynder back inside the wall before dropping her into the ground, and walking to Spyro.

Thjey made a staring contest as the three other dragons watched silently. Blast then said "Okay. Then YOU go first." He said with fake calmness as he roughly grabbed Spyro by the horn and moved him to the wall, Spyro tried to resist.

"Stop struggling you idiot, so it will end fast!" Blast grunted as he tried to throw Spyro to his death.

"Blast stop!" said Bolder "Blast, this isn't funny anymore!", Blast turned to him and shouted "SHUT UP!" Bolde almost jumped back, and Icicle too. They had never saw Blast like that. Of cours,e they did many things together that would grant some scolding from their parents, but Blast really seemed to want to kill someone!

Blast took a better grip of Spyro's horn as his other paw grabbed his lower leg, granting him a good grip.

"Spyro!" called Cynder, as Blast grinned like a maniac "Lets see if you can still fly, freak! Any last words?"

Spyro grunted, telling him to "go to hell" and Blast only snarled as he took a stronger grip, and was ready to throw Spyro, when a voice called "Hey!"

Everyone turned to the closer gate, to see a wolf standing in front of it, staring straight at them.

Yuri walked forward and said "What is going on here?"

Yuri came in the last moment! Whta will happen now? Will he be able to defeat Blast and the others? Stay tunned to find out ^^
