Yuri had finished his talk with the grey dragon sooner than he expected, after a couple of insults, of course, and went after the two dragons. He found a sign made, telling they had went upside the great wall.

Yuri wasted no time to follow them, and what wasn't his surprise to arrive and see Spyro and Cynder being held by three other dragons, that seemed to want to throw them from the wall.

Yuri remained composed, and asked one more time "What is going on here?" his tone was demanding, though his expression seemed not to be angry. Not much, at least.

"This is not of your business wolf!" said Blast, holding Spyro "Go take care of your own life!"

"Yuri, go call the guards!" said Spyro, not thinking in what else to say, Blast laughed at him "You really think the guards will help you? They would give me a medal for getting rid of you, freak!"

"Enough!" said Yuri, in a tone that made everyone flinch. It was filled with some kind of anger, and yet, it was cold like the winter wind, and it sent chills in everyone's spines.

Yuri looked straight into Blast's eyes, and said "Put them both on the ground right now!" his voice was slow and controlled.

Blast looked more intently at the wolf "I know you." He said "You are the faggot that sells crystals and who lets the spawn of Malefor live in your house!"

"Put them down." Said Yuri, more calmly and ignoring the insults from Blast.

The red dragon, in his turn, only ignored him and continued "Don't tell me that now you let the purple freak live with you also? Ha, you must really like having freaks near you!"

"Let them go" said Yuri one more time, but Blast was still ignoring him "Maybe you like having them around because this way you feel like in family. I guess freaks like being around other freaks, so they feel better."

Yuri looked very intently at Blast "Listen, I don't want to hurt any of you. Put. Them. On. The. Ground."

Everybody looked at Yuri. Blast them started chuckling, a chuckle that grew more and more, until the red dragon was laughing. The wolf just stared at him with piercing cold eyes.

"You…" Blast said, clutching his belly from laughing so hard "You, hurt us?" he said still chuckling "That was really funny. We are dragons! We can breathe elements, we have claws, we have sharp teeth, we have scales that are like armors! How could a skinny little thing like you be able to hurt us?"

Yuri ignored and walked forward "Put them down." He said one more time. Blast chuckled, and jumped to the ground, dragging Spyro with him.

Still holding Spyro's wing, he looked at the wolf, that now was right in front of him, and said "Look, faggot, I seen that you maybe don't understand what you're getting into, now, if you just turn around and walk away we can let you-"

But Blast wasn't able to finish, because in this moment, with a quick move, Yuri stabbed his blade shoulder with the tip of his fingers. In this moment, Blast let out a pained cry as he let go of Spyro's wing.

Spyro slowly got up, and raised his gaze to see, along with the others, as Blast cried out and held his front leg, as if he was in great pain.

They were all shocked and confused. Why was Blast holding his leg like that? Yuri had just touched him there with his fingers, it couldn't hurt that much.

And, in fact, it did not hurt, but in the moment Yuri's finger touched that point, he felt a sudden jolt run through his whole leg, and now, it was tingling wildly, and soon it was followed by a feeling of extreme numbness, and then, nothing more.

Blast stopped crying, and looked at his leg. It was limp. Blast tried to move it, but it did not answered, it was completely numb.

"My leg…" Blast breathed "I can't feel my leg!"

Everybody looked shocked at him, except for the wolf. Blast turned to Yuri, who had a neutral expression while looking at him.

"You…" snarled Blast, filling himself with fury "I'll toast you!" He roared as he breathed a fireball at the wolf.

"Yuri!" cried Spyro and Cynder, but the wolf simply stepped aside, and the fireball went straight past him without even touching his fur. Blast did not give up, and shoot another, that was dodged by the wolf with a spin.

Blast lost his patient, and shoot a barrage of fireballs at the wolf. Yuri then ran around the red dragon, dodging every fireball with sidesteps and spins, that almost make it seem like he was dancing. Yuri stopped right in front of Blast, and with fast moves of his hands, landed gently hits of the tips of his fingers in points in Blast's chest and neck.

Blast barely felt Yuri touching him, and felt a strange tingling soon after, but it vanished quickly. Yuri now stood right in front of Blast, and the red dragon saw his chance. He opened his mouth, ready to shoot his biggest fireball at the wolf.

But nothing came out.

Blast stood there in complete shock as he wasn't able to use his element, and Yuri simply looked at him with what seemed boredom. Blast tried again, but nothing came out.

The other dragons watched in shock as Blast seemed to have lost his element. Blast focused, he focused all his anger and power aiming to make the biggest fireball a dragon have ever made and obliterate the wolf with it. He opened his mouth, and all that came out was a puff of smoke.

Blast looked in shock, and his gaze was to the wolf in front of him "You… what you did to me!?" Blast said accusingly, and Yuri simply said "I hope you doesn't need to use your breath for the next days."

Blast stared at him, and roared, jumping over the wolf. Yuri side stepped, and let Blast go through him, and land face first in the ground. Blast clutched his face in pain, as he turned around to see the wolf.

Blast roared to him once again, and flapped his wings, and flew straight to the wolf like a missile. Yuri stood there as the red dragon came in his direction. Blast outstretched his claws and bared his teeth, ready for the impact.

But it never came.

In the moment Blast was about to catch Yuri, the wolf gave a jump, making a mortal over the red dragon, that flew straight by him. Everybody was shocked by this.

While Yuri was in the air, right above Blast, his hands made fast movements, the tips of his fingers hitting points in Blast's back fast and in a specific order. As Blast went forward, Yuri fall back on the ground in his feet.

Blast, on other hand, slumped into the ground and rolled, crying out as his wings went numb. He struggled to get up as he realized that his wings now weren't responding his commands

"My wings!" Blast cried out "He did it with my wings!"

Everybody just watched as Yuri turned back to Blast, and the red dragon backed away as he turned to Icicle and Bolder "What are you waiting for? Help me!"

The two dragons hesitated a little, but soon Icicle let go of Cynder and he and Icicle ran to Yuri, stopping a few feet away from him. Yuri just looked at him as he adopted a strange fighting pose, with his arms outstretched to his sides, his legs open and his palms stretched.

"I don't want to hurt you." Said the wolf. And as answer, Icicle shoot spikes of ice at him. Yuri spun around, dodging most of the spikes, the last two that were flying in his direction, he grabbed in midair with his bare hands.

Everybody stood there, looking at the wolf in shock, as he threw the spikes aside, now in a neutral stance. This was Bolder's turn, he stomped his paw in the ground, making a stone pillar raise in direction of Yuri's chest. But the wolf swiftly dodged it, and ran straight at the two dragons.

Both panicked, and they shoot ice spikes and stone shoots at him like machine guns. Yuri was able to dodge all of it as he ran in their direction without slowing down.

Once he was in front of the two dragons, quickly as a lightning he hit points in their bodies with the tips of his fingers. Both dragons felt tingling sensations in their insides.

Yuri Stood in front of them, and they tried to hit him with their breaths, but nothing came out.

As the two dragons stood in shock, Yuri walked past them, in direction of the other two dragons who lived with him.

"What are you waiting for?" said Blast to his two sidekicks "Go get that wolf!"

Bolder and Icicle took a few moments, but they did as they were told, and both ran to Yuri. Icicle was the first to reach him, and tried to bite his back. But Yuri, as if having eyes on his back, made a spin and used his hand to redirect Icicle's head, at the same time he used his finger on the other hand to hit points in the back of the ice dragon's head and neck.

Icicle gasped loud as he slumped to the ground. Everybody watched in shock as icicle fell to the ground, not moving. For a moment they even thought he was dead, until he groaned and said "I-I can't feel my body."

Yuri turned his gaze to Bolder, who stared at him with fear, before roaring and jumping over him. Yuri swiftly dodged and hit points on the side of Bolder's body, finalizing with a precise hit in the mid-section of his belly and his hip.

Bolder trembled violently, and his body then went completely still. For a moment, everybody looked at Bolder, as Yuri slowly got up, and gently pushed Bolder, who fell to the ground, still like a wood plank.

He landed with a thud, seemed to be frozen in the position he was. Bolder's eyes looked to all sides, seeing the most he could since his head was not able to move, his whole body seemed hard and stiff as stone.

Everybody else looked in complete shock. Yuri raised his head, and turned it to Blast. The red dragon was completely terrified. He was there, with his leg and wings numb, unable to use his element, and with his two friends laying on the ground unable even to move.

"Blast, help!" called Icicle, as he tried to turn his head, and Bolder let out a muffled "Hmmph!" as he was unable to move anything besides his eyes. Yuri walked slowly with a few step in Blast's direction, only for the red dragon to stumble back.

"Boo." Said Yuri, and Blast screamed and turned around, running for his dear life. He went past the gate for the stairs, and soon after, a sound was heard, telling that Blast had fallen in the stairs. But this didn't stopped him from keeping running away.

Yuri looked to the place Blast went, and turned to Icicle and Bolder, who were both in the ground.

"Great friend you two have." He said, and walked past them, in direction of Spyro and Cynder, who were also both speechless and with their eyes wide open.

"Are you alright?" he asked to them, and the dragons stared at him for a second, before nodding.

Yuri sighed in relief. And looked closer to verify their wounds. Spyro had a blackened space in his side, and some cuts. Also had Cynder, but none of them seemed to be very serious. One or two crystals would make them brand new.

Yuri looked at them "Sorry." He said "I should not have let you alone."

"No!" said Cynder "Is okay, we are fine, really. You came in the right time."

Yuri looked at her, and was able to smile "Lets go back home, we need to take care of you two." He said, getting up, and helping them back on their feet. They started walking, and passed by the immobile forms of Bolder and Icicle. Yuri turned to them.

"Don't you two worry." He said to the paralyzed dragons. "You will be moving again in a few hours. But be careful, it seems like it's going to have a storm, and high places like this attract lightings. Especially with great metal things near." He finifhsed, pointing at the still constructing structure of metal that was going to be one of the catapults.

But them, he took a double look at it.

Spyro and Cynder noticed the wolf was looking with very interest to the metal construction. The wolf was squirting his eyes, and tilting his head as if to see better that.

The metal was disposed along with the wood, but it seemed to make a shape separately. Yuri looked at it angling his head. Why that did seemed so… familiar?

"Yuri?" Spyro's voice snapped to wolf back "Is something wrong?"

Yuri looked at Spyro, and cast one last look at the catapult, before turning back and saying "It's nothing. Lets go home." But his tone did not convinced Spyro. Seemed like the wolf was in deep thinking.

They went down the stairs, Yuri in front while the two dragons followed them. The wolf was silent, as were Spyro and Cynder, until Spyro whispered to Cynder.

"Why you didn't told me Yuri could do that?"

"Huh?" Cynder said looking curiously at him. Seeing her expression, Spyro then asked "You knew he could do that kind of thing?" Cynder looked at him, and slowly shook her head "no". Both dragons looked at the wolf walking in front of them.

They walked past the streets, and through the gates. The guards raising eyebrows at them as they passed, looking at their injuries. But they not actually stopped to see how they were.

They walked past the fields, until arriving in front of the home. Yuri took out the key and unlocked the door. They come in the moment started raining. Once inside, Yuri quickly ran and came back with a few red crystals. He smashed them, and the shard quickly healed all their open wounds, making them sigh in relief.

Once this was done, Yuri examined Cynder's frozen wings, he looked them up and down for a few minutes, and walked to the fireplace. He lighted the fire with some rocks and dry leaves, and let it build into a fire.

"Stay near the fire, your wings need to unfreeze." He said to Cynder. The wolf sighed after a moment of silence "I'm sorry. I really shouldn't left you two alone."

"Its okay." Said Spyro quickly, and then he added "But, Yuri…" The wolf looked at him, along with Cynder "What you did with them?"

Yuri's face was deadly serious at this question. He looked at Spyro's questioning eyes, and his gaze shifted to Cynder, who also seemed to want to hear answers. Yuri sighed "I guess I was going to have to tell someone at some point. And you deserve to know."

Both dragons heard him carefully, and Yuri continued "Well, you both know that my father was a healer, right?" Both nodded slowly, and Yuri continued "He was specialized into several ways of healing, not only medicine, but also some… non-conventional healing. I'm talking about acupression. Do you know what this is?"

Both dragons shook their heads, and Yuri explained "It involves pressing on the pressure and chi points. Specific areas from the body that have nerves and where the chi runs. If you press the right point with the right strength you can help alleviate pain and to help open the flux of chi, helping in healing."

Both dragons did not took their eyes from Yuri as they heard very carefully each word he said. "Yeah, he taught me about those points, and about acupressure. I mean, before I left the village." He said the last part with a more serious expression.

Both dragons shared a look, and the wolf started again "Well, this was good for myself, as I knew how to take care of myself, but outside that, there was not very much use… Until I discovered it could be used for other purposes."

Both dragons neared him as he said that, as if not wanting to lose nothing.

"If you press the right points with the right strength you can cause a lot of effects, not only alleviating pain, but also causing it." Yuri said "Not only that, but you can also cut the connection of this point with the rest of the body, or affect in a variety of effects. You can, for instance, cause a specific member to go numb, cause partial or total paralysis, or even make someone lose consciousness."

Both dragons looked at Yuri's with widen eyes and very focused ears, and the wolf continued "I even discovered that if you pressed the chi points you can cut out someone's special abilities, like the ability of dragons to use their elements."

The dragons seemed focused on Yuri like nothing else in the world existed, and Yuri sighed "Well, due to the circumstances, I had to develop it into a way of protecting myself, of fighting. I found ways to use it in battle, and made my own way of fighting." Yuri said finally "I called it 'Gentle Fist'."

When he finished, both dragons now stared at him like he had grew a second head. Even Cynder, who lived with him for years, never had really knew this detail of his life. In fact, she said "You never told me that…"

Yuri scratched the back of his head "No one ever really asked, and I really didn't needed to use it for years before today. Actually, the last time I used before today was a little before I came to live in here."

Both dragons absorbed this new information. So, Yuri was far stronger than he actually showed. Cynder was amazed to this about her foster father. But Spyro, could not stop thinking about what he saw, and how easily Yuri was able to defeat those three. If he could do that to them, than this "Gentle Fist" could very well be used to defeat an adult dragon!

Spyro raised his head to the wolf, who was looking at the fire, and said "Yuri." The wolf and Cynder turned their heads to the purple dragon. "I want you to teach me it."

Yuri looked a bit surprised at Spyro, and Cynder also, the purple dragon continued "Please Yuri, teach me the Gentle Fist! I really would love to learn it!"

Yuri looked at Spyro for a moment, and asked calmly "And, why is that?"

"So I can protect myself!" said Spyro "I want to learn it to make anyone that mess with me regret the day he left the egg!" Spyro said very fiercely. His thought were not only on Blast, but also on Terrador, Nova, and everyone in Warfang that ever wronged him.

Yuri stared at the dragon for a few moments, like evaluating him. And then, Yuri said "Sorry, but I can't do that."

"…"

"… WHAT!?" Spyro almost shouted. Making Cynder jump back a little. Yuri remained calm as he looked at the purple dragon.

"B-but why?"

Yuri looked at Spyro, and said "Because you are not ready for something like this."

"But Yuri…"

"The answer is no." Yuri said calmly, but in a tone that said that left no doubt that he was not going to change his mind. Spyro only stared at him speechless. Yuri sighed "Spyro, the Gentle fist can be very dangerous if in wrong hands or used for the wrong reasons."

His tone was the most gentle possible, but Spyro was only able to stare at him, and he heard only the worst of those words.

"Wrong hands..?" Spyro said, and his facial features started to harden "You mean MY hands are the wrong ones?" He asked almost aggressively.

"Don't put words in my mouth."

"You don't want to teach me because you don't thrust me?" Spyro demanded. Yuri remained silent for a few moments, looking at Spyro, and then, he looked away. This was more than enough answer for Spyro.

"So, I'm trustable enough to live here but I'm not trustable enough to be teached how to fight!?" Spyro demanded

"Spyro, please, calm down" said Cynder, who had been only watching until now. But Spyro ignored her.

"What? You are afraid that if I learn to fight I'll no longer need you, or that I'll be able to hurt you?"

"Spyro…" Yuri tried to say, but Spyro once again ignored

"You know what? If you can't trust me, then I guess I have no reasons to stay here!" Was all Spyro said before dashing out, and slamming the door open as he ran away outside. Ignoring Cynder and Yuri's calls for him.

Spyro only ran, the rain was very light, and was ending really fast, soon there was no more drops falling, and Spyro kept running. He felt bad, he felt betrayed, knowing that the first person in his life who seemed to care for him actually don't trusted him was like a knife straight in his heart.

Spyro ran for minutes, before stopping just under a tree. He stood there, besides the tree, panting, before snarling and swinging his paw in the tree, leaving marks of his claws into it.

"Darn you, Yuri!" he yelled in anger "Darn you wolf! Darn Terrador! Darn Nova! Darn Blast and his friends! Darn Warfang! Darn everyone!" He yelled to the skies "I don't need any of them!"

He said as he walked off, when the sound of bird tweets called his attention.

He looked up, and in the tree branches, he saw a bird nest. And in it, he saw two blue colored birds, that tweeted happily now that the rain had ended. Spyro looked for a moment, and he could swear that they were the same birds from one week ago in Yuri's hoof.

They tweeted happily, and Spyro once again felt they were mocking him.

Hey freak! Look up here! You wish you could fly like us?

Oh, the freak is sad!

Did you really thought that someone cared about you? Ha!

Just realized you have no friends, huh?

Spyro just couldn't take it anymore. He turned to the birds above, eyes blazing with rage, and roared "STOP THAT!"

This outburst of him made the two birds fly scared, but they did not went far from the nest. Spyro just glared at them, panting, and then, something else moving inside the next catch his attention.

It was blue, and was small, and was moving. When it moved out, Spyro could see that was a small chick, probably the child of the two birds, with blue feathers and a yello line in its chest running down to the belly. It looked to its parents flying above, and started walking outside the next, and into the branch, flapping its small wings, trying to follow them.

This made Spyro's expression soften as his anger dissipated. He looked at the bird that wanted to fly with its parents, and the two birds actually were flying around it, like encouraging it to do it, despite being all too young.

Spyro somehow remembered Yuri.

The wolf too encouraged him, and protected him, and was very nice to him from the very beginning. The wolf asked nothing in return, owned nothing to him, and yet, he was helping. And Spyro had blurted out in him just because he didn't got what he wanted.

Spyro's thought were interrupted, when a sudden torrent off wind made the tree shake a little. The small chick lost it balance, and fell from the tree in the ground below.

Spyro's eyes widened. The chick was too young to fly, and it would not survive the fall!

Without thinking, Spyro jumped forward, and was able to catch the chick, and then he fell back to the ground, landing in his stomach.

Spyro breathed a little, and looked at his paws. He had formed a shell with them to protect the chick, and it had worked. The small bird was in his hands, shaking, but unharmed.

Above him, the two older birds tweeted madly, and the young one answered with its own scared tweets. Spyro looked at the birds, they seemed so worried about their youth, and the chick seemed to want to be with the parents again.

Looking up at the tree, Spyro adopted fierce expression. He gently put the tweet in his mouth, being extremely careful with his teeth. And walking to the tree, he dug his claws on it, and started climbing.

Spyro struggled with all he could and even more to raise his body higher and higher into the great tree. He dug the claws of his paws into the wood to have the better footing he could.

Yet, in the middle of the way, his hind paw slipped, and he remained dangling just by his front paws. The chick in his mouth tweeted madly. Spyro took a few deep breaths to calm down, and recovered his footing, resuming his climbing.

After minutes that seemed more like hours, the young dragon finally arrived in the branch were the next was.

For the next part, Spyro had to walk into the branch, that was strong enough to easily support his body. Spyro looked down, the ground was a good distance bellow, one slip and he could get seriously hurt.

The tweets of the chick in his jaws mad Spyro worry even more about him. The purple dragon swallowed his fear, and took the first step forward.

Slowly but surely, Spyro advanced in the branch, like he was walking into a string, and he was slowly making his way to the nest.

As he arrived in there, the two birds were flying around him, tweeting madly, as well as the bird in his mouth. Spyro stretched his neck, and lowered his jaw, and finally, he let the chick into the nest safely.

As soon as Spyro retreated his head back, the two birds immediately flew by, and landed in the nest, nuzzling the young chick as they tweeted happily, like a happy family.

Spyro looked at the scene, with a strange warming in his heart. He got distracted for a second, and his hind paw slipped, and he spun around and started falling to the ground bellow.

Spyro cried out as he fell by, and shielded himself ready to hit the ground. But then, something grabbed Spyro in mid-air, and spun around, and Spyro felt a thump as what was carrying him landed into the ground safely.

For a moment, Spyro remained with his eyes shut, while his mind registered that he was safe. And then, he slowly opened them, and saw that he was being carried in arms covered in grey fur. He turned his gaze, and met Yuri's face.

Yuri looked at him, and opened a smile "Wow, that was a close one." He said smiling, and Spyro simply stared at him. Yuri put him back in the ground, and for a long moment, they remained in there, none of them saying a word.

"It is going to get dark soon." Yuri said finally. "We better head back home."

The walk back was a bit awkward, with Spyro looking at the ground as he and Yuri walked side by side, and then, Spyro finally blurted "I'm sorry!"

Yuri looked at him, and Spyro said "I'm sorry for acting that way! It was childish and I should not think you have to give me all I want! I'm so sorry." Spyro finished, and Yuri looked at him, and said nothing as he turned his face back to the way.

Spyro took it as a sign that Yuri was still mad at him, and his head dropped as they walked.

Once home, they fixed dinner, and all of them were eating in silence, Yuri seemed in deep thinking, Spyro still feeling bad, and Cynder was very uncomfortable being between them with what had transpired not even one hour ago.

Once they finished, Yuri finally said "Cynder, Spyro, would you two be kind to wash the dishes and keep them? I have to go to the basement to clean it."

"The basement?" Both Spyro and Cynder asked. Spyro didn't knew that there was a basement in there, and Cynder said "Why you will clean that? You don't go under there for years."

"Because I have to remove the boxes, and found out a few papers and books. I need it ready for start tomorrow."

"Start what?" Spyro asked, and Yuri looked at him "Your training into the Gentle Fist."

This took both dragons back, specially Spyro, who stared at him, and Yuri continued "If you still want to learn, of course."

Spyro took a moment to answer, and his answer was just a simple nod, and Yuri continued, with a serious expression "But, you have to promise me you will never use it the wrong way. That you will only use it for the right reasons. Can you promise me that?"

Spyro looked in his eyes, they were not stern, just looking at him intently. Spyro said finally "Y-yes. I promise."

Yuri looked at him straight in the eyes, and then gave him a smile "Good. Have a good night of sleep, because tomorrow we start off your training."
