And another chapter, for everyone who had been waiting and was following this story ^^ Hope you all enojy this chapter, as well as you probably enjoyed the previous.

Please, enjoy ^^

Spyro and Cynder looked at the small bug-like creature as he kept checking onto his own body. They both shared a look, and looked back at the dragonfly, who was now flapping his wet wings, trying to see if it was still possible to fly. Apparently, it wasn't, since he could not get more than a few inches from the ground before he fell back, landing in his back.

"Man." He said "Why stuff like that always happen to me?" he pondered with himself, almost forgetting about the two dragons who had just saved him from becoming plant food, and who were now still staring at him.

"A dragonfly?" Cynder finally asked, looking at the golden glowing creature, and she said "Yeah, I should have guessed."

"Are you a dragonfly?" Spyro asked to the glowing creature, who looked back at him. Of course, Spyro already heard a lot about dragonflies, but that was the first time that he saw one personally. And he looked a little different from what they had described to him. Yeah, he had the big head and the antennae and the wings, but he did not looked like some short of flying vermin. Well, at least not to Spyro.

The golden creature looked at him, and at itself "Let me see." He said as he seemed to be checking his own body "Glowing. Sectioned tail. Wings. Antennae. Two arms. Natural attractiveness. Yeah, I think I really am a dragonfly. Or at least I was last time I checked." He said with a good hint of humor.

This made Spyro chuckle a bit "I didn't knew that dragonflies had a humor like that."

"Yeah, some of us have our moments." The dragonfly answered, and he kept trying to flap his wings to dry them out. It seemed to be working, for now he could hover lightly above the ground, he had less control, and would eventually land back into the ground.

"Man, why stuff like that happens to me?" he said, as he looked at his wings, trying to flap them. He them looked at his two saviors, who were still looking at him, and he asked "And I guess you two are dragons, right?"

"Yeah, we are." Said Spyro at him, looking at him with interest, and the dragonfly said "Heh, I never saw dragons before. All of them are as skinny as you, purple guy?" he asked, making Spyro flinch a little, and then the dragonfly took a double look at him, and kept looking, with an expression on his face as he was trying to remember something.

"Wait a minute." He said, looking straight at Spyro "Where have I already heard about a purple dragon?" he said slowly, putting a hand on his own chin. Spyro got worried as he started to try and remember it. Cynder also noticed, and she decided to intervene. She cleared her throat, what made the dragonfly look at her, as she said "Well, since we already saved you, I guess we can leave you to your own business. Let's go, Spyro."

"I'm not Spyro." Said the dragonfly "My name is Sparx." He said, and both dragons looked at him. Yeah, in fact, Spyro was not surprised, after all, the name that was gave to him was a name usually used for dragonflies, and not to dragons. So, it was almost understandable that the golden dragonfly had made a mistake to think she was talking to him.

"She was talking to me." Said the purple dragon to the dragonfly "My name is Spyro."

The dragonfly looked at him, and then, he let out a small laugh "Really?" he said, sounding just a bit surprised "That's the first time I hear of a dragon with this name. I always thought you guys thought you were too good to have normal names." He said with a laugh.

Spyro was actually able to laugh too, and he said "Nice to meet you Sparx. This one is Cynder" he said, gesturing to the black dragoness, and Sparx said "What's up?" and he went back his attention to his wings, but he kept talking with the two dragons "So, what is the happy couple here doing out of the dragon city?"

Both dragons looked at him, and then at each other, and they blushed "We are not a couple!" said Cynder quickly, and Spyro also said "We are just friends."

Sparx looked at them, and chuckled "Yeah, if you say so." And he was still trying to get rid of the liquid all over himself. He took a smell at himself, and he said "Bleh! I'm going to smell like that for days!" and he waved his arm at the ground. "Can you two lead me a hand, or a paw?" he asked to them.

"Oh, yeah, sure." Spyro said, approaching Sparx, and Cynder stopped him "Spyro." She whispered to him "What if he has some disease?" she whispered at him, but Sparx could hear that "Hey! I bath once every week. I have no disease!" he said, sounding insulted "Only because I grew up into a swamp doesn't mean that I'm a flying disease container!"

Cynder looked at him as he said that, and also did Spyro, who nodded "Sorry." He said "Is that, they say a lot of things about dragonflies."

Sparx chuckled "Yeah, and yet, your parents gave you a dragonflies' name. Or they don't care for it or they don't like you very much."

Spyro's face saddened, and he looked at the ground, and Sparx noticed it, and he realized he must have touched a delicate subject "Oh… Calm down, big guy, I'm sorry for that."

"It's okay." Said Spyro to Sparx "I think my 'parents' never cared for me, actually. All because I'm a purple dragon." He said with a bit of a bitter tone on his voice, what made Cynder look at him, and so did Sparx, who said "Oh. But, what is the big deal of you being… purple…" Sparx trailed as he looked at Spyro.

And then, for a moment, his expression changed for one of great acknowledge, as a bulb had lighted on his brain. And then, his expression changed to one of fear as he stared at Spyro "Oh… man…" he said to himself, as he satred at Spyro.

Spyro already knew what was going on. The dragonfly had remembered why the color purple was famous for dragons, and he was showing that he also knew what this meant. Spyro was ready to see him running away, or scrambling, or else. But Cynder was not going to let it, as she quickly intervened "Don't even start!"

She said, and both dragonfly and purple dragon turned to her "Spyro just saved you! He is not like my father!" she said that without even realizing it, and Sparx looked at her for a few moments, and said "Your… father?"

Cynder shared a look with Spyro, and she sighed, and said "Yeah. I'm Malefor's daughter."

For a moment, Sparx only looked for both of them, the fear seemed to have vanished from his features, and he looked only interested "So, you are the new purple dragon." He said, turning to Spyro, and then he turned to Cynder and asked "And you are the daughter of the previous evil purple dragon?"

They both shared a look, and Spyro said "Yeah, that's pretty much it."

"Oh, right…" Sparx said, offering then a smile, and one second later, he buzzed his wings madly, and managed to get off the ground and propel himself against the plant from which Spyro and Cynder had just saved him inside. He was hitting the walls, and saying "Let me in! Let me in! I wanna go back inside where is safe!"

Both dragons looked at him as he tried to go inside the plant that would most likely digest him just to be "safe". Spyro was a little down at he seemed to be so dangerous to someone he has just met, and cyndxer, looks a bit pissed "Oh, cut that out!" she said, and Sparx yelped, and he tried to fly away, but his wet wings did not let him get much far.

He stumbled in the ground, and Cynder stood in front of him. Sparx gasped when he saw Cynder looking down at him, and she leaned closer, and she say "Look here, you little thing." She said, and Sparx just listened "Do you think we are evil? Well, I guess that if we were really evil we would not have saved you."

Tis made Sparx stop for a moment and consider, and Cynder continued "Look at him." And Sparx did looked at Spyro, who was just looked at him with his face down "Does he looks evil to you? Does he seems like a monster that hurts others just because he can? Because I don't think he looks like it. I have know him for a few weeks now, and I can say that he is the kindest dragon I have ever met."

Sparx seemed to lose his fear, as he saw that Spyro really was not like a monster. Yeah, he was very bigger than him, and he was probably stronger, despite he was very thin, and he had his elements, of course, the wicked magic thing that dragons did. But, he did not looked like a monster, actually, he even looked to be quite friendly.

Sparx lost his fear for him, and also, that dragoness was also did not looked like a monster, though she was definitely the scarier of the two dragons. Sparx was going to be sure to not get on her evil side, if she ever had one (and he was almost sure that she had).

Sparx got back up the best he could and he said "Yeah… guess you're right. Sorry for that." He said to the two dragons "Is that, I heard a lot about the other purple guy, and that he made a lot of problems all around to everyone." Sparx said and the two dragons seemed to calm down, as Cynder was losing her anger and Spyro seemed to be recovering his spirit "But I never heard he had a daughter."

Cynder sighed at that, and she said "I only hatched from my egg after he died." She said, and she was letting very clear that she did not wanted to talk about it. Spyro looked at her, as he also didn't knew the exact conditions of Cynder's hatching, and he realized that he knew virtually nothing about Cynder's mother, or of her actual relationship with Malefor.

He was never going to think anything bad about her, by the way both Cynder and Yuri talked about her, but yet, he could not help but wonder what was her story. And he was starting to imagine what would that be…

Sparx said "Okay then, if you don't want to talk." He said, and started flapping his wings, and trying to get up, having dried a little more by now "Well, thank for saving me from becoming plant fertilizer. I gotta go now." And he started flying, and Spyro said "So, you are staying something around here?"

"Tonight I will." Sparx said "And maybe tomorrow I'm somewhere else. Honestly, I never think too far."

"You mean you have nowhere to stay?" Spyro said, and Sparx said "Yeah, I usually sleep into some old trunk or into some hole in the ground. The only problem is when there is already someone living in there." He said, as if it was something normal to him, and Spyro remembered himself that it was.

Yet, the purple dragon could not help but feel a bit sorry for the dragonfly, and he walked forward, and asked "Would you like to stay in our home?"

Cynder and Sparx both turned to him, both as if they were asking if he was really talking serious.

"I mean, you have nowhere to stay, and staying out there alone is dangerous. It would be safer if you stayed in our house, at least for tonight."

Sparx looked genuinely surprised that someone was really offering him a place to stay. Even more for it being a dragon. The dragonfly had heard a lot about who these guys could be arrogant, and that they liked to feel superior to everyone else. But this little guy apparently didn't had this kind of problem, for he was offering him home.

Cynder was also surprised that Spyro was being so nice to the dragonfly. Cynder was still worried about the part of the disease, but Spyro seemed really not to mind it. Cynder just imagined if Yuri would agree with it. Still, she saw in Spyro's eyes that he wanted to help, and she thought that maybe it was just his nature.

"So?" Spyro said, looking at Sparx "Would you like staying in our home?"

Sparx looked at him, and then he put his hand on his chin, as if he was pretending to be thinking "Hmmm, lets see. Sleep in the cold forest full of things that want to eat me, or sleep inside a cozy and warm house, with food and that is a completely safe place?" he said, flying around a little, as if he was pacing. And after a while he looked to Spyro and said "Yeah, sure! Why not?"

He flew next to Spyro, and he said "So, where do the happy couple live? Do you have a good place to stay in the Dragon City?"

"We are not a couple." Said Cynder again, and she said "And we don't live in Warfang. We live next to him, in a little house." She said, and Spyro said "Come, we'll show you were it is." And he started leading the way, and Cynder behind him, and Sparx flying next, with his golden glow over them.

"Oh, right." Sparx said "So, you have a house all for yourselves? You must have a lot of money." He said as he flied next to them, and Spyro said "Actually, we both live there with someone."

"Oh, okay." Sparx said, and he said "So, you two have a babysitter or something like that?" he said, and Spyro says "Yuri takes care of us. He is very nice." Spyro said, and Sparx said "And you think he is okay with me staying over?"

Spyro had not thought about that. Cynder did, of course, but Spyro had not considered that Yuri was the owner of the house and that he had to word of who could stay or not. What if he thought the same things the dragons thought about dragonflies and he was not going to let Sparx stay?

Man, maybe Spyro should have talked with him first.

And they continued walking. Sparx was babbling the whole time, and Cynder was becoming annoyed by this, especially because Sparx didn't stopped talking about them as if they were a couple. Cynder was almost relieved when she saw that they had finally arrived home. She quickly entered and Spyro followed her and Sparx simply flew over and looked at the house.

"This place is nice." Sparx said, a bit too loud. And soon Yuri's voice came of the kitchen "Who is in there?"

Sparx was surprised, and he flew over, hiding behind Spyro's horn. Yuri soon came into the living room, and he saw Cynder and Spyro. "Oh, hi, did you had fun?"

Cynder nodded, and Spyro took a moment to answer, not sure about how Yuri would take the news of the dragonfly that Spyro invited to stay with them. Yuri looked at him, and he asked "Is everything okay, Spyro?"

"hm? Oh, yes, yes, its okay." Spyro said, and Yuri smiled at him, and said "Aren't you going to introduce me to your little friend?"

Spyro was a bit surprised, and Yuri chuckled, and he said "Come one, little guy. I'll not hurt you." He said directly to Spyro's head, and soon, Sparx was poking his head out. Soon, he took courage, and was now flying into view, Yuri looked at him, and then at Spyro. "So, are you going to introduce me your new friend?"

Spyro looked at him, and then he recovered, and he said "Hmm, Yuri, this is Sparx, we knew him just now." Yuri nodded, and Spyro said to Sparx "Sparx, this is Yuri. He owns the house and we live with him."

Sparx looked at the wolf, and he said "Ah wolf, huh? Interesting." He said, flying around Yuri, who said "Interesting good or interesting bad?"

Sparx laughed a little "I like you." He said "And you have a good house. I think I'll like staying here."

Yuri raised an eyebrow to him, and looked at Spyro with an inquisitive look. But he did not seemed to be angry, just a bit surprised. Still, Spyro was a bit nervous "W-well, I… Sparx said he had nowhere to stay, so… I kind of… invited him to stay here with us."

Yuri looked at Spyro for a few moments, and he nodded, and he said "Well, if Spyro invited you, then I guess you can be my guest."

Both dragons looked a bit surprised at the wolf, who was taking the news very good. Sparx smiled when he heard it "Oh, sure." He said "I'll be a good guest. Maybe I stay just a couple of days and then I leave."

"Stay as much time as you need" Said Yuri, and he soon added "Dinner will be ready in ten minutes. You have some request?"

Sparx smiled bright "You save me, offer me a place to stay and now offer me food? It seems that you want me to stay here for a long time." Sparx said, what made Yuri chuckle, and the dragonfly continued "Well, I'd like some berries if you have, and also, I'd like a few butterflies, not the green ones, I want some blue ones."

"I don't know if we have butterflies. But I'll see what I can do for you." He said, and he returned to the kitchen.

And Sparx remained there with the two young dragons, most of the time, he was talking about what he had been through in the past days, like swamps, birds that wanted to eat him, and even other plants like these ones that they had rescued him from. And he said that they were so big that they could swallow two adult dragons.

The two dragons didn't needed to think very much to know that he was only talking. Cynder was a bit annoyed by it, and Spyro, he actually found it rather funny, so, they both heard it, and Sparx seemed to be pleased that someone was actually hearing him.

Ten minutes passed, and Spike was already explaining how he had escaped a ten-headed monster when Yuri called "Dinner is ready, come and get it!"

"Food!" Sparx called as he stopped in the middle of the sentence, and he immediately flew to the kitchen, calling out "Hurry or I'll eat everything!" Spyro and Cynder5 shared a look, and they immediately went after.

Yuri had prepared to them chicken, companied with seasoned rice and noodles. And for Sparx, there were a bowl of blackberries into the table. Sparx looked at it marveled "Oh, food! I missed you so much!" he said, before diving in the bowl, literally, and starting eating, coating himself in juice.

Cynder looked a little disgusted by the way Sparx was eating, while Yuri only chuckled, and so did Spyro. This Sparx seemed to be quite an interesting being. Spyro had never met a dragonfly in person, and it was proving to be interesting, as much as it was meeting Yuri in the first time.

Spyro looked over Yuri, who calmly ate his food, and was smiling as he did so. Spyro was still finding it hard to believe that the wolf was standing for him and helping him even with all, people said about him. Yuri was a good person, better than any other he knew in his life, and he was happy for having him on his side.

And he was also happy for having Cynder. He cast a glance at her as she ate. She was very good to him, and she was probably the first real friend he had since… well, ever. She was very good to him, and protected him when he needed.

Spyro thought that, in a way, these two were very much like him. They both had been rejected by the others because of something, and they all knew how it was to be mistreated because of who you are.

It was all the same pain. The pain of being an outcast because of your appearance, or because of who are your parents, or because of what kind of people you like. It was all the same pain, and they all have tasted it. They understood each other, and they, somehow, made a family. And it was more a family than Spyro ever had in his life.

Sparx was the first to finish his food, and his belly was distended as he let out a burp, and sank himself in the empty bowl, covered in juices and with a smile in his face. When everyone finally started eating, Yuri picked all the plates, and the bowl in which Sparx was in, placing the dragonfly into the table. And he went to clean the dishes.

"Mr. Wolf." Said Sparx, letting out another surprisingly loud belch "Ypu really know how to treat a guest."

"You're welcome." Said Yuri, and Sparx continued "I must say, you wife must really be a lucky woman for having you."

There was a silence in the kitchen, as Spyro and Cynder shared a look, and Yuri said "I don't have wife."

"Oh, so your girlfriend…"

"No."

"Some chick you are dating?" Sparx continued, and Yuri turned to all of them, and said "Anyone want dessert?"

"I want!" Sparx said, raising his hand high and completely dropping the matter. If it was Yuri's plan or not, Spyro could not tell, but it seemed to have worked. Yuri served to each one a piece of Dragon fruit, and Sparx didn't wasted time to star eating his, bathing himself in more juice.

"Can you at least not eat like an animal?" Cynder asked to Sparx "And where do you put so much food?" But she was ignored, and Sparx just delighted himself with the delicious fruit that he was eating.

Spyro and Cynder also ate theirs, as Yuri cleaned the dishes, and when they were done, Yuri also picked the plates and washed them too. Sparx was laying across the bed, his belly comically full, and he seemed to now be sleeping, and he was snoring softly. Yuri even tried to wake him up, but it was proving to be useless, it seemed that Sparx was a heavy sleeper.

"IS he just going to eat and sleep while he is here?" as ked Cynder, and Yuri only shrugged "I guess he has been through a lot before he arrived here, lets let him sleep a bit." Yuri said, gently picking him up, and carrying him to the living room. Yuri picked up a bowl, and a piece of cloth, and he was able to improvise a makeshift bed. He placed Sparx on it, letting him sleep as he moved in the rhythm of some strange dream.

Cynder looked at him as he slept, and Yuri turned to her and Spyro, and he said "Well, I understand you two saved him, right?"

Both dragons nodded, and Yuri seemed to like this answer "You two did well." He said, and looked over to Sparx on his bed "I guess he really needed a help." He said, and Spyro said "But, aren't you angry for me to have invited him to stay without asking you."

Yuri looked at Spyro, and he said "Nah, we have enough room. Besides, I don't think he will take of a lot of space. He is not too big."

"Yet, he eats like he is at least four times bigger." Said Cynder, and this made Yuri laugh a little, and Spyro chuckled too "So, thgere is really no problem for he to stay in here?" Asked Spyro, and Yuri said "Of course not." And he smiled at Spyro "Maybe it could be interesting let him live in here. Okay, now I think we all should sleep a bit today."

And with that, each one of them went to their respective rooms, and they all laid in their beds for a good night of sleep.

Spyro laid on his bed, and sighed as he let his eyelids slowly close together for him to sleep. He knew that they were going to continue his training tomorrow, and he was more than ready to put double effort in it, in order to make it right next time.

With this thought on his head, Spyro closed his eyes, and he started sleeping.

Spyro found himself into the middle of Warfang. He looked around, as he saw the city different from what he knew. The city seemed to be nearly destroyed, as it was the part of the city that was damaged during the war, years before he was even born.

Spyro looked around, seeing the city destroyed around him, seeing that the buildings seemed to be burning yet, and he heard screams.

Looking around, Spyro saw dragons running and flying around, trying to escape, horror coating their features. They were screaming and running away to save their lives. Spyro only looked at them as they flew right past him, not bothering even to look at him as they were too terrified.

"H-hey! What is this?" Spyro asked "What is happening?" he asked the figures flying and running past him, but no one of them seemed to give him attention. Spyro looked back, to the direction where they were running from. And he saw something that made his blood freeze.

There were shadows attacking the city. Shadowy creatures that to Spyro seemed to be vaguely humanoid and big as they ran around, crying out curses and branding weapons to the sky. They ran and destroyed the place, some setting buildings on fire with torches of a blue and scary fire.

Spyro watched these shadows, as some of them climbed into the buildings, and jumped into the poor dragons that were flying in the sky.

Spyro watched terrified as they attacked the poor dragons with their weapons and their own claws and teeth, and made they fall to the ground, colliding with sickening thuds, and the figures kept attacking the ones that didn't died with the fall, and other figures came, hitting, cutting and shredding with their weapons.

Spyro was completely immobile, practically paralyzed by his fear, as he found himself unable even to look away of that horrid spectacle, and he did wanted to look away.

Spyro hear d a faintly cry from the street, and he saw a young dragon cub, around a third of his size, blue colored stub silver horns coming out of his head, and his tail spear was shaped like a bubble. He looked around, and cried "Mommy!", but no one answered to his call, and he cried again "Mommy!"

His mommy didn't answered, but another creature seemed to attend to his calling, as it came descent form the buildings, and landed right in front of him, startling the poor hatchling. The shadow was carrying a great club in it's hand, and it raised it high, ready to deliver a blow into the poor, helpless creature.

"NO!" Spyro cried out, as he finally snapped out of his stupor, and he ran in direction to the poor hatchling, that was crying out and curling in a ball as he was about to be killed. Spyro managed to run faster than he thought he could, and jump right in the moment to take the hatchling out of the way of the club, that hit the ground with such a strength that it made a crack in the stone.

Spyro panted as he held the young hatchling against his chest with one of his paws. The small thing looked at him with it's baby-blue eyes, and it whined as it buried it's small face on his chest, sobbing out of fear.

Spyro felt like saying something to that poor thing, like it was going to be okay, or that it was not dangerous. But before he could, he heard a primal cry, as the creature jumped over him. Spyro had no time to react, and he only protected the hatchling and readied himself to a mighty blow.

But it never came.

Spyro heard something zoning in the air, and hitting it's mark with a dry "THUD", and then another thud as something hit the ground.

Raising his head, Spyro saw the creature on the ground, an arrow sticking out of it's body. Spyro blinked a few times, and then, he heard a mighty roar, that shook each bone of his body and seemed to make is own soul recoil.

Looking over, Spyro saw another shadow, a much bigger one, raising over the city, with two eyes, yellow and glowing. And it opened two long and scary looking wings, and used it to cover the city.

Spyro could only watch as these shadows fell over everything.

Spyro woke up in a jump and screaming in horror. He opened his eyes, and looked around, seeing his own bedroom, and looking at all sides as he recollected what just happened. His dream seemed to have been branded in his mind with hot iron.

It was all still so clear to Spyro, the shadows, the dragons, the city burning, the creature, the young hatchling, the arrow, and that big shadow. Spyro felt chills run down his spine as he was still remembering that shadow falling over the city and touching him. It was cold, and it was terrifying.

Spyro was still breathing heavily, and trying to recover his breath, when the door of his room suddenly opened. Spyro looked and saw Yuri, looking at him worriedly, and soon, Cynder too came into view.

"What is wrong?" Yuri said

"What happened?" said Cynder.

Spyro looked at them for a while, wondering what they were talking about, and then, he just remembered his scream. Spyro blushed madly as he had screamed like that and woke up Yuri and Cynder only because of a bad dream.

He wasn't five years old anymore.

"Spyro, what happened?" Yuri insisted "we heard you screaming." He said and Cynder said "I almost dropped from my bed."

Spyro looked away as he was praying that they were not going to notice his blush. "It's nothing." He said "Just… some dream."

"You had a nightmare?" Yuri said, but he didn't sounded angry or mocking, instead, he sounded genuinely interested and worried.

"Yeah, just a nightmare." Spyro said "It was nothing."

"Spyro, do you realize that you have screamed loudly?" Cynder asked, and Yuri said "No one screams the way you did because of 'nothing'" he said as he looked at Spyro "It was something really bad, wasn't it?"

Spyro looked at him, and saw that Yuri had real interest on it. Spyro sighed "It was only a dream." He said "It was not important." But, somehow, Spyro was not convinced of it himself. That dream had been all too real, and it was very strange. And it was somewhat very disturbing to Spyro. His heart was still costing to go back to the normal beating.

Yuri seemed to noticed this, and he walked to Spyro, and sat on his bed "Spyro." He said, looking at the purple dragon "You want to talk about it?"

Spyro first thought was to say no, that it was a silly thing and that it was not worth losing time over it. After all, that was what he always heard from Terrador and Nova when he tried to say to them anything about a bad dream. This and usually some beating and screaming for him to go back to his "room" and leave them alone.

And back to the small cubicle he called room he went. And in there, he stayed in the dark and in the cold, scared of his bad dreams, and he cried in there until he slept again, only to have more nightmares and to wake up crying, knowing that no one was there for him.

This was just a remembering of how much Terrador and Nova never truly cared for him, once they didn't wanted to be there or hear about his problems. But Yuri, he was there, and he was asking him what was wrong, and he wanted to know about what was bothering him. And Spyro wanted to talk about it with someone and, for the first time, there was someone in there who wanted to hear him.

Spyro sighed, and said "It was horrible." And he proceeded to tell Yuri all that had transpired in his nightmare. He explained to Yuri about the city in flames, about the shadows that went after the dragons, and about the way they killed them. Spyro explained to him about the young dragoling that he saved, and about the shadow that almost killed him, but was attacked by an arrow. And he finished explaining about the shadow that raised and covered the city, and about how he felt that strange, cold and unnerving touch that he felt when it fell over him.

Yuri listened to each word of what he said, and he did not interrupted him in any time, and let him speak every word. Spyro felt good talking to him about it, it was like he was taking weight off his shoulders as he did it, and telling him how much it scared him, in a way, made him lose his fear for it, made him remember that now there was someone in there that cared for him.

Spyro liked this feeling, and when he finished explaining to Yuri about his nightmare, he realized he was feeling a bit better.

Yuri nodded when Spyro finished explaining to him his nightmare, and he said "It was pretty detailed. Usually dreams are not like that. And usually we forget about them as soon as we wake up." Yuri said, and Spyro thought about it.

"Maybe, I can remember because it was really scary." Spyro offered "I don't remember feeling so scared before in my life." He said, and Yuri nodded "Maybe." Said the wolf, but he seemed to be thinking about something else. And he said "There was anything else about your dream that you still remember?"

Spyro said no, but he said "But, when I woke up, I felt something very bad." He explained to the wolf, and to Cynder, who was also there, and was hearing about his problem as much as Yuri had "I had a feeling that… there was something bad happening. Or… that it was going to happen… I felt scared…" he admitted, and Yuri nodded, and he seemed to be thinking of something.

"Yuri?" Cynder asked, and Yuri saw the question in her eyes, and he said "My grandmother was a great believer into the old magic and the occult." He explained "Actually, she was a shaman, back I my village." He explained "She told me once that the dreams are the portal that connect us to the universe." He said "She said that the dreams, are the way of the spirits of everyone who lived before to contact us, to tell us secrets and give us warnings." He said, to the two dragons, that looked at him with very interest.

"And she said that when a dream was so clear and so detailed as this one Spyro just had, it is because it is more than just a dream." He said "It is some short of message."

Spyro and Cynder shared a look, and they looked back at Yuri "What kind of message?" asked Spytro, and Yuri answer was "It depends on the dream." He looked at Spyro as he said that "Dreams are rarely clear, and sometimes they are really open for interpretation." He sighed "Maybe it was really a nightmare, or maybe not. Actually, I don't know."

Spyro looked down as he heard that, and Yuri noticed it. Yuri held his chin, and made Spyro looked at his face, and he smiled at him, and said "Don't worry." He sounded as supportive as Spyro knew him to be "You don't need to worry about it, okay?"

Spyro looked at him, and nodded. So it was like when someone cared if you had a bad dream and actually offered you support? It felt very good. As it had felt all the rest since Spyro had met Yuri. Spyro liked the wolf, and liked him very much, and that was for sure.

Yuri then asked "So, do you want me to sleep here with you tonight?" Yuri offered, making Spyro look at him "If you want company, I can stay here with you."

Spyro looked at him, and saw that Yuri was serious when he offered that. He really wanted to support Spyro about it, and that made Spyro feel really good, having yet another proof that someone really cared about him. Spyro would have accepted, but, he was feeling better now, and he was not as scared anymore. Just talking about it made him feel better.

So, Spyro gently refused, and Yuri nodded at him, and he and Cynder left him in his room, and he said "If you need, I'm in my room." And he closed the door, leaving Spyro alone into his room.

Spyro sighed, and he laid again on his bed, and he looked at his dark room. It didn't seemed so scary, and he knew that Yuri would be near if he needed.

Yet, the dream was still scaring him somehow, that shadows… Spyro felt something bad about them, and about the way they attacked everything but, it was nor nearly as terrifying as it had been that immense shadow that consumed everything.

That shadow scared Spyro more than anything else had ever done on his life. And Spyro was still having chills when he remembered about the way the shadow feel over him.

In this moment, just as he was about to sleep, he seemed to remember another thing about his dream, one thing that he had barely even remembered till now: when the shadow fell over him, he had heard it talk.

It had been barely louder than a whisper, but Spyro was sure he had heard it. It was cold, and as scary and disturbing as the shadow itself had been, if not more. It was shadowy and cruel, and it carried some kind of power and malice that made his blood freeze on his veins. And as Spyro finally fall again, this time, into a dreamless slumber, he thought for a moment that he could still hear the voice that said:

This world is mine
