Pearl began gnawing at her leather bounds. It didn't take her long to break free as the zombie virus had caused her to grow a second row of extra sharp teeth. She ran after Rose. Then she saw her, leaning against a wall and looking down at the floor.

"Rose, I-" she was cut off as a blow to the head from Dr. Peridot's baseball bat rendered her unconscious.

When Pearl awoke, she saw Rose glaring down at her, her eyes no longer full of compassion and understanding but with anger.

"So you weren't a zombie when you killed my husband?"

"Um... brains?" Pearl tried.

Rose sighed. "Pearl, stop."

"Sorry, Rose."

"Anyway, you're a murderer and I can't be your grief counselor anymore. Goodbye."

Pearl watched as her one true love walked out of her life. "Goodbye," she said in almost a whisper.
