BPOV

I smoothed down my dress and walked towards the office entrance to Angela's desk, unable to hold back a small grin when I saw the familiar synthetic looking blonde sitting in our waiting room as she was hunched over slightly and scrolling impatiently through her phone. Angela looked up from behind her desk when she saw me come over and mimicked my smile with even more mischief.

Oh yeah, I'm so glad I hired her.

"Hey, Stacy." Angela winked and stood from her desk, motioning her head towards Malibu Barbie. She immediately put her phone away and stood hastily, tossing her hair back as she picked up her pad folio and tacky looking expensive purse and smiled at me. Ugh. "This is Tanya, here for Miss Swan's interview. She's running a little late from her previous meeting, so she's asked if you could show Tanya around the office and she'll meet you in her office by the time you're done."

Channel your inner Meryl, Isabella.

I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Sure, I guess so. How that woman manages this company without us, I'll never know."

"Tell me about it. Well, have fun ladies!" Angela covered her matching scowl with that sneaky smirk and sat back at her desk, as I turned my gaze towards Tanya.

There she was, Tanya Denali. Twenty-eight years old, Stanford grad. Strong performance, graduated top of class and reputable references from multiple past employers.

Oh, and also fucked my boyfriend, Edward Cullen, on the night of my prom.

And now, she was here applying for an open position at my company. When I saw her name on the screened applicant list, those pathetic feelings that I'd harbored years ago rose and I remembered everything from that night. The night that was supposed to be one of the best nights of my life was ruined by two people, and I was going to get some much needed revenge on one of the two. Call me petty, but that opportunity was served to me on a platter – it'd be rude to pass up on it, am I right?

As I looked at her, I could tell she hadn't changed. No matter her degree or Stanford past, she was still the pathetic plastic whore who ruined everything. Dressed in a fitted black pencil skirt that was just a bit too short for the office and a white blouse underneath gave her that slutty streetwalker look, but hey I'm sure that's what she was going for anyways. I caught her 6-inch heels and seriously considered taking the long tour but that'd just be mean.

Okay I lied, I had another appointment right after that I needed to get to and priorities, right?

Tanya clearly wasn't too happy that Miss Swan was running a little late but as I looked at her, she quickly masked it away. Smiling she shook my hand.

"Tanya Denali, very nice to meet you Stacy."

Nice firm grip, Tanya. Then again, I shouldn't expect any less with all of the dicks you've grabbed.

"Nice to meet you, Tanya. As we're waiting for Swan, let me show you around the major parts of Swan Enterprises." I turned around and walked, hearing her follow me with hasty steps as she clearly couldn't walk at my speed with those stripper heels on.

I brought her down to the first of three floors belonging to Swan Enterprises. First floor was our operations team, the second floor was dedicated to the phenomenal work created by the research and development team, followed by the third floor which was used for the presentation boardrooms, senior leadership team offices as well as of course my office. As I walked through the first floor, I did my best to ignore the curious stares from my employees. I rarely came down to the first floor, I didn't really feel the need to oversee this floor when I had the directors do so for me and report back. However, as I saw many stumbling to quickly clear their desk and straighten up their outfits, I made a mental note to come down here a little more often.

That was for another day – right now there was much more important matters to take hold of.

"So, this is the operations floor which consists of marketing, sales, business development, human resources, and IT. They're one of the most fundamental pillars of our business as they work with one another to ensure that we continue to be the leader in our industry." I continued to explain everything in full detail, before throwing in that she would need to know all of this if she was chosen as our secondary assistant to Isabella Swan and waited for her to catch my words and interrupt me.

"Wait, sorry did you say secondary assistant?" I turned to face Tanya and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her face as it was contorted with disgust. "To Swan? There's no way, HR must have made a mistake."

I looked at her confused and slightly shook my head. "No mistake, that's what I was told. And that's what was on the application that Miss Swan provided to Angela."

"Ugh, that bitch!" She growled and my hand twitched slightly at my side as I imagined wiping that look off of her face. "I knew she was going to screw me."

Calm down, Isabella. "I'm not sure what you mean, Tanya."

She sighed, as if I was the dumbest person in the world. "I know her, Isabella Swan. We go back to high school and I may have screwed her boyfriend, but she was some weird psycho and like, threw me across the room against a wall. I had a concussion and I could've sued her but I didn't, so she really should be thanking me!"

Stay calm, just breathe. I could feel my blood boiling, but I needed to keep my cool. Stay. Calm.

Tanya started to pull her phone out of her purse. "I'm like, legit annoyed. How the hell is she CEO of this place? Clearly she's still a fucking whack job. Assistant to her? I graduated from fucking Stanford, get real."

My jaw clenched and my fist clenched unconsciously but when she looked at me, then really looked at me, I could see her curiosity peek as her eyes narrowed. I swallowed as much anger as I could down and feigned a confused look.

In reality, I couldn't help imagining taking her head and putting it through a wall.

"That's quite the story, Tanya. I've never heard that story about Swan before, maybe you're confusing her with someone else."

"Oh that's the bitch, trust me. Forget this, I'm way too overqualified to work here." She scoffed but still wouldn't look away from me. "Seriously though, has anyone ever told you that you kind of look like her?"

I shook my head and smiled. "Never. Anyways, since this isn't going well how about I just introduce you to the CFO and COO of our company? Maybe you can discuss this issue with them, they could be of help."

I waited for her to take the bait as I could see the tiny wheels in her head struggling to turn, before a huge smile took over her face. "I would love to, I'm sure they will understand my predicament."

Oh you stupid, stupid little girl. If only you knew.

The elevator doors chimed once again once again once we reached the third floor and I lead her towards Heidi and Gianna, Rosalie and Jasper's secretaries. They immediately stood and smiled up at me. Of course, they were briefed just as Angela was, so they said their pleasantries and advised that they'd call Rosalie and Jasper to come out.

Rosalie Hale was the Chief Financial Officer of Swan Enterprises, and my dearest and closest friend. I had met her in my first year at Harvard and we hit it off on our first day. She intimidated most, what with her gorgeous looks, curvaceous body but also being the only female who had received a full scholarship to Harvard. She was the epitome of beauty and brains, but with quite the attitude to go along with it which left her scaring off many. But when I met her, there was a mutual respect for one another that had been established since day one. Sure, we continued to compete against each other throughout our time at Harvard, but we always celebrated each other no matter who won. She was the only female that I'd gotten myself to trust after leaving Forks… since Alice.

Alice and I had barely spoke since I had left Forks. In the beginning, she would send me multiple emails a day as she couldn't call me since I'd cancelled my phone. Slowly as time went on, the frequency of her emails had lessoned and I would barely respond to anything. So getting close to Rosalie was difficult for me, but she became my rock.

Before we graduated, I always knew I wanted to move to New York so I could build my own empire. Rosalie and I discussed it, and knew it was the right move for us both. Thus we created Swan Enterprises. Her strength was in finance and crunching numbers, while also being able to make strategic business decisions that would help us continue to drive revenue and dollars. She loved what she did, and I couldn't have been happier to have her by my side.

Jasper was the Chief Operating Officer of Swan Enterprises and, evidently, Rosalie's twin. Not only did his blonde locks and stunning looks match his sisters, but so did his smarts. He may not have been as feisty as his sister, but he knew when to rule with confidence and get shit done. A graduate from McGill University, Jasper joined Swan Enterprises almost a year after its birth. I was slightly hesitant on bringing Jasper in due to the potential sibling rivalry, but Jasper proved me wrong one day when he visited with Rosalie one day and walked into my condo, wearing a crisp suit looking like he'd just walked out of a GQ magazine and presented some phenomenal ideas to me in regards to our business. I sat there and watched as he passionately went through several ideas and business proposals, and he didn't even break a sweat when I would grill him through it all. I knew he was going to be one of the strongest people in our office and that we needed him. Hell, I needed him. He initially was hoping to lead one of our operations teams, but I offered him the role of Chief Operating Officer, and my right hand. It took him a few moments to pick his jaw off the floor, but he accepted and we haven't looked back since.

The two of them made us the dynamic trio that were featured in Forbes, Business Magazine and numerous papers across the globe. We were admired, envied, hated, and loved all at the same time. Most of all, we were making big changes to the world and never seemed to stop doing so. Over the years, the two of them became my two closest and most trusted friends. It took time, but one day, after many bottles of wine, they came to know about my past in Forks. I spilled, however not the entire story. Specifically, the details of my relationship with my mother. What they did know, was that I left Forks in haste due to a bad breakup, and I had walked in on the supposed love of my life banging a two-dollar whore, so I left and never turned back. They never pushed for more, knowing how difficult it was for me to let them in on that part of my life, and we hadn't discussed it since.

In fact, they were the only two who were able to call me Bella, aside from my father. It took so long, and so many therapy sessions, to be able to find any emotion other than disgust and grief behind that little nickname, but as I began to trust them more, they became my true family. I loved them both, and would go to the ends of the world for them. I may not have been entirely fixed but they helped heal a part of me, even if it was a tiny part.

They both walked out of Rosalie's office, wearing similar custom black suits with the only difference being Rosalie's deep red blouse and Jasper's crisp whit shirt. As soon as they saw me beside Tanya, the three of us broke out into similar grins.

"Good morning! Anything we can help you with?" Rosalie said with sweetness dripping from her words, looking from me to Tanya. Before I could say a word, Tanya hustled over and outstretched her hand, shaking Rosalie's hand quickly followed by Jasper's.

"Tanya Denali, Stanford graduate. It's truly a pleasure to meet you both." Her fakeness was practically sweating out of her pores and even Rosalie couldn't help her eyebrows from raising in surprise as she was thrown off. "Stacy here was kind enough to show me around the office, but I told her that I just had to meet the two of you, considering that you're both clearly the ringleaders of Swan Enterprises."

Okay, I'm over it. I rolled my eyes as I stood behind her at her blatant attempt to suck up to both of them and heard Jasper chuckle.

"I don't know about that, Miss Denali," he crooned, working up that southern accent of his that he knew made the panties drop off of any female, straight or not. Cue eyeroll number two. "I would say that Isabella Swan is the true visionary for Swan Enterprises, considering this is the creation of her hard work."

That threw Tanya off as she sputtered, trying to compose herself and somehow salvage whatever she thought she had.

"Of course! What I meant to say was, well I was telling Stacy that –"

"Hold on," Rosalie interrupted and raised her hand up to halt the mess that was coming out of Tanya's mouth. "Who is Stacy?"

Ah, ah. Here we go. Ladies and gentlemen, let the games begin.

Tanya's mouth opened and closed several times, as she took a few steps to the side and looked between Rosalie and I. Her eyes widened in confusion as she pointed at me. "Sh-she's Stacy. She was with Angela, she showed me around."

Jasper chuckled quietly and clicked his tongue, shaking his head at Tanya.

"Sorry sweetheart," he said, and I saw the colour leave Tanya's face as she looked at Jasper. "You were misinformed. This right here is Isabella Swan, CEO of Swan Enterprises."

Her reaction is what I was waiting for, as her face started to glisten with sweat and her breathing deepen as everything started to piece together for her. She looked at me and I reveled in the fear on her face.

"Well, looks like you actually have a brain. And here I thought all you were good for was spreading your legs, Tanya." I grinned as her jaw dropped and she looked frantically between me and the door, waiting for an opportunity to bolt.

"Wait, you seriously didn't know at all?" Rosalie asked her, then laughed. "Come on sweetheart, there's no way."

I laughed and shook my head, crossing my hands over my chest and glared at her.

"Yeah, you would think that she'd recognize the face of the girl whose boyfriend she fucked at her own prom. And the same one who she got a supposed concussion from, although I'm pretty sure I didn't slam you against the wall that bad."

Tanya mustered up whatever strength she had left and dropped her belongings to the ground, her face turning red as her eyes narrowed at me. "Listen here, you crazy bitch –"

"No, you listen to me!" I snapped, her steps faltering backwards as I stepped towards her. "I don't give the slightest fuck what you think, or what you plan on saying back at me. I also don't care about your degree, your history or any of the bullshit on your resume. As far as I know, you're still the worthless tramp back then that you are now. Besides that, you walk in looking like one, and act as if you are better than half of the employees working at my company. How can you think you're the least bit qualified to work here? And why in the hell would you even apply to the company that I am head of? How fucking stupid are you, Tanya?"

I uncrossed my arms and clenched my fists at my side, trying to push away the urge to completely lose my mind and ruin all of those dollars spent on botox to her face. "You've ruined whatever reputation you had by walking in here. You could've made it somehow in some other company by screwing yourself up the corporate ladder, but you had the nerve to walk in here and try to squeeze yourself here. You have no idea what you've done, and what you made me go through years ago but then again you obviously don't give a fuck considering you mounted my boyfriend in some random persons bedroom and gave everyone a fucking show!"

I stepped towards her without realizing it and felt my body temperate rising, as she stumbled backwards again and her look of anger replaced entirely with fear. I saw Jasper out of the corner of my eye step towards me with an arm outstretched and I stopped, knowing I needed to control myself.

Calm down, Isabella.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, letting the breath out slowly before opening them again. I needed to remove the high school memories and feelings out of the conversation and get into CEO mode.

"Tanya, in your hopes of trying to enter into Swan Enterprises with full knowledge of our past history, you have tarnished your reputation both at my firm and throughout the industry. Your actions today will be well-known throughout the major companies in the New York area as well as our subsidiaries across the globe. You may attempt to salvage whatever you have left, however as soon as the word spreads, which it will, you will be blackballed. I suggest you search for another line of work – perhaps an assistant to another company may be a better fit for you. However your future in business is over."

Tears welled in her eyes, but I could not feel a single ounce of remorse for her. She ruined everything for me, my dreams, my goals, my love. She knew what she had done then and what she walked into, just as she had done now.

"Now, unless you'd like word to spread even faster for being escorted off of the premises, I suggest you get the fuck out of my building."

Her eyes darted quickly to Rosalie and Jasper, who were wearing the identical passive expressions before looking back at me. She quickly grabbed her belongings from the floor and moved as quickly as she could to the elevator out. Before entering it, she looked back at me with pure hatred in her eyes.

"This isn't over, I promise you that."

I stood straight up and stared right at her, challenging her back.

"Try me."

The doors to the elevator closed, and I could hear Rosalie and Jasper break out into applause behind me.

Damn, it felt good being Isabella Swan.
