New Puff and Ruff 7

Hey guys! Sorry for the wait, I had writers block. Thx for the reviews, keep them coming! And yeah, I didn't mean that the guys were dumb or anything. I just thought it be funny. Thank you so much for your ideas, even if I don't use them they helped a lot. I love you guys!

I don't own the Powerpuffs, ruffs or song.

Buttercups POV

'Argh Butch keeps showing up! It was okay at first but now it's just annoying!' I thought to myself as I skated down the street. And just my luck, Butch was there at the bottom. I jumped off my board to give him a piece of my mind, and hopefully my fist.

"Hey," I tried getting his attention. He was sitting on the curve with his back to me.

"Go away," he mumbled. Now I was angry! After days of following me around like a puppy, HE was the one telling ME to leave him alone!

"What! No, you don't get to..." I stopped when I noticed how mad he looked. "Ah, hey what's wrong," I asked awkwardly.

"Nothing," he stubbornly stated, pouting. I flopped down next to him.

"You know I'm gonna get it out of you somehow, you might as well tell me now," I told him. Wait! Why am I even asking? If a Ruff is upset then good!

"Like you'd understand. You don't have to put up with an annoying bother that goes around thinking he's the boss," Butch crossed his arms.

"HA! Maybe not a bother, but I know just what you mean," I rolled my eye's thinking of Blossom.

"Really? Doesn't it just drive you crazy?"

"I know! It's so lame!"

"Then why do you put up with it?"

"She's my friend," I told him, then remembering who I was talking to I say "Well what about you huh? So you get to cause trouble?"

"Ha! I could cause trouble on my own if I wanted, I love to. But I like sports more," Butch huffed. Then explained "Hanging with my bros doesn't give me a lot of time to do that. I guess it's because he's my bother or whatever." While I thought of what Butch said, he got up and stretched his arms up over his head.

"Well I think you shouldn't let her boss you around. Later," He said.

"Wait!" I called. He stopped and turned around. I got up too.

"If you really want to play some sports, try to beat me," I challenged with a smirk. He smirked back, but it was different than normal, more playful. As we ran off to find a sport to play I couldn't help thinking that maybe he wasn't as bad as he looks. And maybe he was right about Blossom bossing me.

Bubbles POV

I can't wait to see Boomer! He's so much fun, and sweet, and kind! If only the girls would see that. I'll find a way to get them to see him as a friend, just...not yet. I was skip , skip, skipping my way down to the Pet Shop, Boomer was going to meet me there to play with the puppies, SO CUTE! When...

Blossoms POV

Oh man Brick is going to love this! I got two tickets to the new Johnny Cosmos Movie! It'll be just me and him *Sigh Lovingly*. I was running down the street to get to the candy store, where we always meet, when...

BAM!

I ran straight into Bubbles! Oh no, she can't know about this! What do I do!

"Oh um hey there Bubbles, sorry about that," I say.

"Um h-hey Blossom! I'm sorry too," she sounds nervous, oh I'll just ask later, I gotta go give Brick the ticket!

"So um...BYE!" we both yell and ran off.

Later that day Bass's POV

I sat in a tree, playing my bass while I relaxed. I thought back to earlier today then my bothers gave me an update on how they're doing with tricking the Puffs.

Flash Back

"Yeah it's going great, I think she's actually got a crush on me or something," Brick was saying and they all made gagging noises and pretended to be sick.

"You're a brave man bro," Boomer said.

"Yeah, and I finally got through to that green hag! I made her doubt her 'friend' I'm sure of it," Butch said. I nodded.

"The blue brat thinks I'm actually her friend! HAHA! Can you believe it?" Boomer laughed.

Flash Back End

I sighed as I leaned back against the tree. I don't know what was wrong with me! It took a week and a half but we've finally got the Puffs trust. I should be happy right? Well I'm not. I've been feeling weird around Bliss. I don't feel hungry, I feel nervous, and I can only just keep my cool attitude. Maybe I'm sick? Wait...that sounds like Bliss. I jump down, slinging my bass on to my back as I go, and follow the voice until I see her. She's sitting by small man-made waterfall. I've never seen this part of the park; it must be in the very middle of the trees. I walk out from the shadows but she doesn't notice. She keeps singing. The Hanging tree... it sounds kind of rough and low but still nice to my ears. Wow...did she always look like that? She looks...so peaceful and yet like she's concentrating. SNAP! I step on a twig by mistake and she stops, her head snapping up immediately. The peaceful look vanishes and, as usual, she goes on guard in seconds. When she sees me she relaxes, not completely but a lot, and I'm surprised at the fact that I feel happy about this. 'Please it's just because she finally trusts you and you're happy that the plan is working. Yep that's it, that's why I'm happy'.

"Hi," she greeted.

"Hey. Don't think I've heard you sing that before," I grinned at her. I noticed that while I walked towards her, she would watch me. Like trying to see if I would make any threatening movement. I didn't take this personally; I noticed a while ago that she did this with a lot of people. I also noticed how her gaze never settled on one place for very long.

"I'm...still working on getting the notes right," she blushed awkwardly.

"Yeah it sounds kinda rough, but not bad," I said coolly. She couldn't help but grin at this.

"Thank you," she looked at the floor. I sat down next to her and looked around.

"This place must be in the centre of the parks forest, are you avoiding me," I teased. A look at her face told me that the answer was yes.

"Oh."

"Sorry, I just like to be alone sometimes is all," she seemed to feel bad.

"Its fine, I like to be alone too...so what do you do when you're alone," I asked. I would have left but I haven't come this far to get her trust to just leave her alone, not part of the plan.

"Ah you know...sing, think, read." BORING!

"Wow that sounds fun," I said sarcastically. She glared at me. I grinned back.

"Come on, I'll show what a real good time is like," I stood up and stretched my hand to her to take. She looked from my hand to me, but didn't move. I rolled my eyes.

"Come on, it will be fun. You do know how to have fun right," I challenged with a smirk. She glared again but slowly moved her hand to take mine. Too slow. I grabbed her hand and started jogging out from the trees, noticing how she tensed when I did.

'This should get her to lower her guard completely,' I told myself. That's all this is.
