A New Puff and Ruff 8

Hey guys! It's your favourite half wolf elemental here! I just really want to thank you all for the reviews, I loved them so much! So to say thanks, I made a new chapter! Enjoy!

Disclaimer: if I owned the show, Bass and Bliss would be in it!

Bass's POV

We sat in silence on top of a flat roof, waiting. I know she'll find this fun...at least I'm pretty sure. I take a glance at Bliss, sitting to my right with a blank, dazed look. It seems like she's in a deep day dream, and yet even though her eyes seem clouded, they still dart from time to time. I wonder why? I sift slightly to get comfortable and I see her attention snap to me for moment. She looks so disinterested. 'No! I won't let that happen,' I think, mentally shaking my head. Those little twerps of brothers already have the girls trust, I can do it to. I've almost got her complete trust, I can feel it! I just need to do something to seal the deal.

"Trust me, you'll enjoy this," I smirk at her. She seems to try to say something, but abandons the effort.

"Hahaha oh there he is!" we hear an irritating voice coming from below us, and a chorus of sniggers follow. I feel my smirk widen, now's the time. I peek my head over to look down, motioning for her to do the same. We both peer down to see a group of boys surrounding a smaller, trembling boy.

"So, what you bring for us today huh," the lead boy asked the little one, taking a step closer.

"P-please, these are mine! My mom-" the little boy stuttered weakly at them before one of the bigger boys cut him off with a shove.

"Shut it kid! If we want them, we take them," he sneers.

From the corner of my eye, I see Bliss's fist tighten in anger. She slips away from the edge, gritting her teeth, and turns to glare at me.

"Why did you bring me here? Is this what you consider fun," she asks quietly, venom dripping in her voice.

"Relax, I noticed these guys giving that kid crap for a couple of days. I was thinking, it's time they know what it's like to be humiliated," I said, pushing the backpack I brought with me over to her. She looked at it for a moment, and then opened it. An evil smile slowly grew on her face. She looked up to me and nodded. We turn back to the scene.

"P-p-please! Why are you guys always doing this!" the boy cries.

"Because we can," they all laughed as they shared out the cookies they had taken from him. The laughing was cut short though, by one of the boys yelping in fright as a water balloon hit him square on the head.

"What the?! EW! It's sticky," he complained. His friends looked around to see where the balloon came from, only to be pelted by a series of them raining down from the sky. They all panicked but before they could run, feathers started floating down on them as well.

"Let's get out of here," the leader shouts, leading them away. I turned away to give Bliss a fist-bump, but she obviously thought the boys needed more punishment. She jumped down on to a crate in front of them, using a handful of feathers to give her a more dramatic entrance. The boys yelped and stopped. I can't blame them, standing tall on the crate, feathers blowing around her, and an expression of quiet rage on her face, Bliss was a very intimidating figure.

"W-who are you," one of the boys tried to sound brave. She lifted her head to him.

"You boys have made a terrible mistake. If you don't stop your foolishness, you will suffer!" her singer's voice made sure that she was heard to the very bone.

"Oh yeah, says who," one of them dared to ask.

"Says me! Leave this boy alone, or I swear I will sneak into your dreams and drag from them the very things that you fear most! I will make certain you all live in an everlasting nightmare," she boomed. Even I'm a bit frightened now. She suddenly yells out "GO" sending the brats running to their mommies. The little boy quickly picks up the cookies they dropped, bowed to Bliss with a timid "thank you" and ran off as well. Which leaves me here...to deal with a raging Bliss, who looks ready to kill.

"You sure do have a flare for the dramatics," I whistle lowly.

"Yes. Is that all you wished to show me," she asked. I could tell she was still angry.

"Um, I actually..." I started. I had thought that we could spend the day pranking people, and using those bullies was a good way of easing her into the idea. That was the plan at least. But it looks like I'll have to...talk to her?

"Never mind. Are you...alright," I try. Her breathings back to normal.

"No," she finally says, hopping down off the crate.

"Not sure if I'll like the answer, but...what happened back there?" I tried again...this isn't easy.

"I just hate bullies," she states, walking away. I hopped down after her.

"Yeah well everyone does. But that seemed more...intense than just hating them. I mean it's almost like it was you who was being-," I stop myself. She stopped walking and turned to look at me.

"Like I was the one being bullied," she asked. I nodded.

"Yeah well, that's because I was. Every day. For years," she says, walking again.

"Really? Why," I can't help but ask.

"Because I was different, they didn't know how to deal with me. Because I couldn't keep tabs on my emotions. Because I had a few...health problems," she listed. She said it all with no emotion, but I could still hear the bitterness in her voice. I wanted to ask more, but I thought she had enough memories she already had to sort out.

"Well for whatever its worth, I think you're pretty damn awesome," I told her, as casually as I could. By now I was walking along side her.

"You think," she asked, slightly amused at the statement.

"Yep, I mean, did you see the looks on their faces when they saw you? Priceless," I chuckled. She laughed quietly.

"You're too bad yourself, syrup water balloons, genius," she pushed me playfully. Then she looked down.

"I'm sorry for burdening you by making you hear about the bullying," she muttered. If I had a heart, it would have hurt. Next thing I know, I'm hugging her.

"What a-are you," she tenses up in my arms.

"Don't worry about it, I asked. And it's not burdening me," I mutter. I don't know what I'm doing myself, it just...happened! I feel her arms hug me back lightly.

"Thank you. But...can we never talk about what I told you again? Just forget it alright?" she asked. I wouldn't forget, I know I wouldn't, but I agree anyway. It's only after we say goodbye for the day and I'm on my way home do I realise something.

I just found out Bliss's weakness.

Tell me if it's too dark or deep. This was a purely Bliss and Bass chapter, the other Puffs and Ruffs will come later. REVIEW!
