Chapter 10

Hey guys! First I want to thank everyone who reviewed, I love hearing all of your thoughts and reading them makes my day! And secondly, I am SO sorry for how long this has taken, I could not find inspiration for the life of me!

Disclaimer: I own nothing but Bliss and Bass.

It was well into the summer now, and the girls have been spending more and more time with the Rowdy Ruff Boys Z. Of course, they couldn't share this knowledge with each other, out of fear of what the others might say. Though it was becoming harder to keep such secrets, and each girl seemed to be acting a bit suspiciously. Still, they all decided to stay quiet for now and carry on hanging out as usual.

They were outside in the labs garden, running around with Poochie and his new friend, Bliss's Labrador Sandy. Poochie had instantly falling in love with the golden fur beauty and had spent the whole day trying to impress her, much the girls delight.

"Alright guys, go long!" Buttercup called out as she threw a ball for them.

"After you my dear," Poochie bowed…before he realized that Sandy hadn't wasted anytime and had already dashed off before he could finish his sentence.

"It was a nice thought Poochie," Bubbles giggled as she petted his head. Just as Sandy brought the ball back, the Professor yelled out from the window.

"Girls! The Rowdy Ruff Boys are causing chaos down town! You need to go stop them," he called. Poochie called out his catch phrase, and the girls transformed.

"Poochie, take good care of Sandy for me. And I better not come back to find half robot puppies!" Bliss wagged her finger at him, his face over heating at the joke.

Blossom's POV

The girls and I were flying toward down town, but I couldn't concentrate. I didn't really want to fight Brick, he and I were friends now! Then I remembered that no, he was friends with Momoko, not Blossom. I guess I can't feel hurt about the trouble he's causing then huh? Or go easy on him in the fight…oh gosh! What if he recognizes me! What if he says something! Then the girls will know that I've been talking to him AND he might hate me again! What if-

"Whoa! Blossom get your head in the game," Buttercup yelled as I almost flew into her.

"Oops! Sorry!" I called. Okay, gotta focus, gotta focus!

Bubbles POV

I was worried after Blossom almost bumped into Buttercup, but I couldn't really think much on it, because we had arrived. The place was a mess, and everyone looked so scared! I was really hoping that Boomer wouldn't be here, like maybe he and his brothers had gotten bored and left? Then I wouldn't have to fight him! But I guess I was hoping for too much, because the next thing I know, they're right in front of us.

Buttercup's POV

Damn it Butch, he had to go mess something up didn't he! Now I have to pound him! I mean…it's not like I really care! It's not like he's my friend or anything, it was just cool having someone who could keep up with me is all. Yeah that's right, that's what it was. Just a worthy challenge on the sports field!

Just repeat that and you'll do fine.

Bliss's POV

It's been a while since we fought these guys. Facing off with them now, looking at Bass…I realized that I had gotten used to seeing a sort of kindness in his eyes. I see nothing like that now. I don't exactly want to hurt him…his brothers maybe, but not him…but I'm a Powerpuff Girl. It's my job to protect New Townsville from threats. And right now, Bass is defiantly a threat.

"Sorry," I mumble under my breath.

000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

The two teams stared each other down, still floating high above the city. The girls were waiting for Blossom to call them out, as she always does. But for whatever reasons, she was hesitant. Casting a confused glance at her friend, Buttercup took it upon herself to get things moving.

"What do you knuckle heads think you're doing? I would've thought you'd stay away after the beating we gave you last time," she smirked.

"Leave now, you've caused enough trouble," Bliss tried a more peaceful approach than mocking them. It didn't seem to help.

"Hmm, I'm not sure. What do ya think guys, have we caused enough trouble?" Bass tapped his chin thoughtfully.

"No way," sneered Brick.

"I don't think so," laughed Boomer.

"Nope," smirked Butch.

"There you have it ladies," Bass shrugged, causing the girls to glare and Bliss to sigh in frustration.

"Fine then! Powerpuff girls, GO!" Blossom finally yelled, springing the fight into action.

The Powerpuff Girls started the fight well, spurred on by the boys' taunts. But all too soon, they began to lose ground. Bubbles was the first to go down. She had her bubble wand raised and ready, but couldn't find it in her heart to use it on Boomer. She had left herself wide open to attacks, an opportunity that Boomer took with little hesitation. He threw his high-powered ball as hard as he could, landing it perfectly in Bubbles stomach, throwing her into a nearby building.

Blossom followed soon after. She was grappling with Brick, when in a cheap trick, he gave her the same smile he used when he pretended to be her friend. This worked well to disarm her, and he kicked her away, before using his slingshot to send a storm of exploding stones her way. The pain and sheer amount had her falling out the sky in no time.

Bliss heard Blossom's cry as she fell, and turned around in worry, giving Bass the perfect moment to attack. He grabbed the small disc hanging from his chain, set it to full power, a let it sail through the air, and watch as it collided with Bliss's back. This sent her slamming into Blossom mid-air, causing both to fall at a higher spend and crash onto the pavement.

Buttercup managed to last a little longer, the anger from her friends being hurt driving her on. But with the other three Rowdy Ruffs free from their own fights, they were able to distract, tire her before Butch sent the finishing blow. Exhausted, Buttercup was unable to dodged, and smashed onto a car roof.

The girls groaned in pain as the Rowdy Ruff Boys floated down to them, Boomer dropping Bubbles next to her friends.

"And now for the piece of resistance," Brick said as they all smirked down at the girls.

BACK AT THE LAB

"Ah, I see that you're enjoying the kibble," Poochie leaned across the table, winking at Sandy who was happily chowing down the meal Poochie had prepared for their "date". The Professor and Ken were across the room, Ken rolling his eyes and the Professor ruffling his son's hair, knowing that one day he'd be in the same boat.

CRASH!

All heads snap up as the Powerpuff Girls crash through the roof, landing in a painful heap on the floor.

"GIRLS!"
