In this story, Hades and Maleficent are King and Queen of Auradon. Mal is the princess and plans on becoming 'Queen' when she turns sixteen. However, there are some people she believes deserves a second chance, more specifically, those who live on the Isle of the Lost.

The Fates have had it. They're tired of cutting all the life threads of the denizens of the Isle while Auradon seems to be unaware of the issue. While they're not supposed to reveal the future, that's never stopped them before now has it?

Fairy tales don't end with Happily Ever After and none of them will admit that things are darker than they portray. Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay have only ever known a life of conflict and danger, only trusting each other. Tout avait comme à cause d'une simple remarque : Tu sais, Ben donne tous les jours des fleurs à Mal , avait déclaré Carlos pendant qu'il déjeunait avec Jay. C'est dommage que tu ne le fasses pas.
