Chapter 6:Meeting Gabrielle

Two Weeks Later: Sugar Rush

Vanellope laid on her bed & stared at the ceiling in boredom. "Ugh…it's so boring without Ralph." thought Vanellope. It's been two weeks since Vanellope had seen Ralph and she was beginning to get worried. Ever since the upgrade, Ralph wouldn't look at her even when the Nicelanders lifted him up. Even Vanellope knew something wasn't right. Just then Gabrielle, Vanellope's new babysitter, walked in her room, interrupting her thought process.

"Hey Vanellope. Why are you looking so down today? Are you not happy?" asked Gabrielle. "Not really. I just miss Stinkbrain. He hasn't come to see me these past two weeks and I'm getting worried about him." answered Vanellope. "I'm sorry Vanellope. I wish I knew a way to help." Gabrielle said before her eyes widened a bit; "Wait a minute, I have a great idea!" "What is it Gumdrop?" asked Vanellope. "How about you and me go look for him in Fix it Felix Jr.? Besides, I like to meet this 'Stinkbrain' you always talk about." Gabrielle said smiling. Vanellope then jumped out of her bed, then fist-pumped the air. "Awesome! Plus we take your motorcycle." Vanellope said excitedly. Gabrielle just chuckled at Vanellope's excitement.

"Ok, President Von Schweets." said Gabrielle. Gabrielle then opened the door for Vanellope. Gabrielle then followed Vanellope to the royal garage. "Come on my newest royal chum." Vanellope said as she jumped onto Gabrielle's motorcycle; "We've got to go find Ralph." Gabrielle just rolled her eyes playfully, then climbed onto the motorcycle herself. "Hold on." Gabrielle directed before revving the engine & zooming off towards Sugar Rush's exit.

1 Motorcycle Ride Later: Fix-It Felix Jr.|Ralph's House

Vanellope and Gabrielle finally arrived in Fix it Felix Jr, but they didn't see Ralph anywhere. "Huh, where's Ralph?" Vanellope asked outloud to herself as Felix walked by them.

"Oh hi Vanellope." said Felix as he noticed the them.

"Oh hey Felix." said Vanellope as she kept looking around; "Hey Hammertime, have you seen Ralph?"

"Um, have you tried his shed?" Felix asked as he pointed at Ralph's shack with his thumb.

"Oh, thanks Felix!" Vanellope said as they drove to Ralph's house.

1 Short Ride Later: Fix-It Felix Jr.|Ralph's House

Ralph was in his room sitting on his bed not knowing what to do. "What have I done?" Ralph thought before his thought process was interrupted by a knock on his door. Confused, Ralph walked slowly to the door & opened it, seeing Vanellope and some 13 year old girl who was surprisingly tall for her age and with blond hair and glasses that look like she was from Sugar Rush. "But she looks way too old and tall to be in Sugar Rush." Ralph thought before he internally cringed. He stood there scared to death, not knowing what to do or say until Vanellope spoke.

"Ralphy…where have you been? You haven't come to see me or even wave for weeks." Vanellope said semi-angrily.

"Calm down President Fart Feathers. I've just been sick lately and I didn't want to get you sick." lied Ralph.

Vanellope raised an eyebrow to the comment. "So let me get this straight-You have been sick for two weeks?" asked Vanellope.

"Yes," Ralph lied.

Something seemed suspicious to Vanellope as she looked around & slightly cringed the room that was filled with what seemed to partially eaten Twinkies & used tissues, but she really didn't care. She was just happy to see Ralph again.

"So…who's the girl?" Ralph asked awkwardly.

"This is Gabrielle, my new babysitter. She is the only new character besides my new dad." explained Vanellope.

Ralph's heart wavered when he heard that but he kept calm for Vanellope as he turned to Gabrielle. "Hi, I'm Wreck it Ralph." Ralph said as he extended out his hand, causing Gabrielle to smile back.

"Racetrack Nurse Gabrielle." Gabrielle said as shook his hand; "And don't worry, I know who you are. Vanellope talks about you all the time."

"Oh! So she told you our whole story already?" Ralph asked, causing Gabrielle to nod.

"Yup. That and more. Oh, I almost forgot…" Gabrielle said as she reached into her pocket & pulled out an envelope, which she extended towards Ralph; "You are invited by James to a private royal dinner at the Sugar Rush Castle."

Ralph raised an eyebrow as he took the envelope. "Who the heck is James?" Ralph asked, causing Gabrielle raised her eyebrow in response.

"You don't know that King James. You know, Vanellope's father?" Gabrielle asked, causing Ralph to grimace.

"Oops, I forgot." Ralph said as he looked away & rubbed his head. "Ow, that reminder hurts." thought Ralph. He had been trying to forget about James & the whole upgrade for weeks.

"So Ralph, are you coming?" Vanellope asked hopefully. Ralph didn't know what to say. He wanted to be with Vanellope, but at the same time, he didn't want to see James at all.

"Oh! I almost forgot something again." Gabrielle said as she slapped her forehead; "Unfortunately King James won't be able to come, due to some…circumstances."

"Sweet! Jerk wad's gone!" Ralph thought as he internally fist-pumped. "Alright Vanellope, I'll go." Ralph said smiling.

Vanellope smiled before thrusting her fists & head towards the air & yelling; "Whoohoo!"
