"It's about time you graced us with your presence, Anabell." My mother smiles as she pours me a glass of orange juice.

I smile and kiss her cheek, "Thanks mom." I sit and start to eat the eggs and toast in front of me.

The moment of silence was over the minute my father and brother barge into the kitchen laughing over sports, I roll my eyes and sip my juice.

"Morning sweat pea." Dad kisses my head before he goes on and kisses my mom.

Some friends all say that the way my parents are with each other is something out of a fairy tale but I don't see it because they have always been loving toward each other. My father can have a hair-trigger temper when it came to my uncles and, rarely; me, Cody and my cousins. But he was never harsh to my mother, she always had the ability to calm him down like it was no great feat.

"Hey, earth to Ana." Cody snaps his fingers in front of my face.

"Knock it off" I slap his hand away glaring at him

"Well don't get lost in La La land and I won't have to."

"Whatever." I stand and put away my dishes. I wave goodbye to my parents as I start the engine of my blue jeep that my parents got me from working all summer and pull away out of the driveway.

As I drive down the main road to the high school a howl rises into the air, 'Geez.. Didn't know their were wolves on the reserve.'
