As I pulled into the high school parking lot, my best friend Ally pulls into the spot next to me and squeals in excitement as she gets out of her car. "Ana!"
I playfully roll my eyes and shake my head at her, we were like Yin and Yang, her being Yin and me Yang, complete opposites but we balanced each other. And by balance each other I mean I kept her from making crazy and possibly stupid ideas. "Hey!" I hug her "Look I know it's the first day of senior year but take a chill pill will you?"
"Oooh someone's being a sourpuss, let me guess your hot brother spit in your cereal?"
I gaped at her "Okay first of all, Ew! And second of all, no!" she had a crush on Cody but she never wanted to admit it, and I was thankful that she didn't because it'd be weird if it didn't work out.
She links her arm in mine as we walk into the building "Oh come on, don't worry about your dad or brothers. You know what I got planned tonight?"
I winced at the thought as I dialed the combination "Not sure I want to know.."
She laughed "Don't be such a wallflower! We got to find you a prom date!"
"A prom date? Ally you know that's not for months right?"
"Yes yes I know but after what happened last year I just want to make sure you have a rocking prom" she explained and I knew what she meant, last year the one guy I've had a crush on for years finally noticed me and asked me to the prom but he stood me up, turns out he was dared to ask out the emo girl. I should've known it was going to happen, I hardly got noticed and while I tended to enjoy not being the center of attention it wasn't easy when it came to guys I liked.. hopefully that'll change this year
The sound of the bell brought me from my thoughts, Ally smiled saying she will see me at lunch and took off toward her class. I put my backpack in my locker and was grabbing a book out when I saw someone walking toward me. I close my locker to see a tall, statuesque guy with the greenest eyes I have ever seen and they were locked right on me.
He stopped a few feet from me our eyes locked at I could practically hear my blood drumming in my ears 'Who was this guy..'
"Hey Lahote! Get to class!" I turn to look at the teacher and when I looked back at the guy, he was no longer there "Wha.." I looked up and down the hall but he was no where to be seen 'Wow.. First day of school and I'm having hallucinations.. Perfect.'
