Chapter 13: Necessary Evil Part One: Out of Time

Year 2014, New York

A flash of light deposited a man wearing a black body suit with red armor on it and a white skull. "Lord Thor, please guide me on my righteous quest. By the time this day is done, all these so called 'heroes' shall be no more, and the pillar of darkness that is Alchemax shall have never been." Jake Gallows, the Punisher of 2099, said.

Year 2099, Nueva York City

In Nueva York city, named so because of the large Latino population the city had, a high-speed anti-grav train sped along its magnetic tracks, carrying multiple people to their jobs, including a man with brown hair wearing some sort of sunglasses, despite it being cloudy this morning. He watched as several men wearing armor and riding hover bikes flew past the train. 'Thats the third Public Eye squad that's flown by in the past five minutes. Just what the hell is Alchemax up to?' Miguel O'Hara thought, when the trains loudspeaker turned on.

"Attention, passengers. Due to a dangerous situation on our regularly scheduled route taking us by the Alchemax Building, we will be taking a detour through Richards Boulevard while the Public Eye deals with the situation, adding 15 minutes to our travel. Alchemax thanks you for your cooperation." The train's computer said.

"You have got to be shocking kidding me! I'm gonna be late to work!" A passenger said. "Just because Alchemax has their own police force doesn't mean they can change the train schedule whenever they want!"

"Those sons of glitches need to think of us little people!" Another said, when an explosion went off in the direction the Public Eye said.

"Y'know, on second thought, I can be a few minutes late to work. My boss is a very understanding woman." The first passenger said.

"Well, looks like this is my stop." Miguel said, and the other passengers looked at him.

"Your stop? Buddy, what the shock do you mean?" The first man said, when they passed through an acceleration tunnel, darkening the interior of the train. When light returned, Miguel was gone.

Alchemax head quarters

"All units! Centurion-class officers and Titan mechs are on their way from mathematics Sky Eye. We just need to hope things don't get shocked up too much before our backup gets here!" The Public Eye officer in charge of the operation here yelled.

"Why wait, when you've got the best back up available right here!" A voice said, and all the officers looked to see a man wearing an all blue body suit with red markings around where the eyes should be, an insignia that looked like a cross between a skull and a spider, and what looked like a cape of webs. "Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man at your service!" Miguel O'Hara, better known to the world of 2099 as the Spider-Man of their time, said, swinging on a web much like the legendary hero he was named after.

"Spider-Man, leave the area! You have no authority here! Leave at once and-" the Public Eye commander said, when a yellow portal appeared, depositing a WWII-era biplane, followed by…a Tyrannosaurus Rex. I s**t you not, an actual dinosaur.

"Uh, does anyone else see the dinosaur? Because there's a shocking dinosaur!" Spider-Man said as he leapt back as the dinosaur's leg stepped where he was a second before. "Hold the holo. Wasn't there an explosion here not too long ago?"

"Looking for me, Spider?" A high pitched voice said, and Miguel back flipped over a pumpkin bomb.

"Speaking of things that are shocked up." Spider-Man said as he saw a man with a purple face, horns on his forehead, purple armor with orange highlights, and orange nano-fiber wings. "Hobgoblin! Care to tell me how you're mixed up in all this, you demonic kumquat?"

"Oh, nothing that concerns you. Just know that I've been laid good money to kill you!" Hobgoblin said, dive bombing Spider-Man. They met head on, sailing through the air. Spider-Man's fingers turned into claws, and he slashed at Hobgoblin's face. This caused Hobgoblin's grip to loosen slightly, and Spider-Man leapt on top of him, steering him into several Public Eye transports. Hobgoblin grabbed the future's first superhero and threw him off, but Spider-Man quickly recovered using his webs, only to narrowly avoid a biplane that nearly hit him.

"Ok, I'll bite: what's with the living antique show?" He said as he used webbing to wrap the T-Rex's mouth shut. "Seriously, this reminds me of the time I took that VR tour of the Museum of Natural History!"

"Multi-tasking can be very dangerous, Spider-Man, especially when one of those tasks is me!" Hobgoblin said as he began to throw pumpkin bombs at the arachnid hero. Spider-Man leapt and flipped over each one, before grabbing one with a web and throwing it at Hobgoblin. The explosion knocked the futuristic supervillain to the ground, but his nano fiber wings broke his fall, allowing him to recover quickly. Hobgoblin's eyes flashed purple, before Spider-Man was trapped in some sort of Hell.

"Your psi-powers, really? Y'know, I am aware this isn't real thanks to my Spider-Sense." Spider-Man said as he leapt up and punched Hobgoblin in the face, shattering the illusion. He threw Hobgoblin to the ground and body slammed him, before picking him up and throwing him into a nearby car.

"Go to Hell, Spider-Man!" The Goblin of the Future said, spitting out a bit of purple blood before taking flight.

"Son of a Glitch, that's the most original thing anyone's ever said to me! You, my friend, deserve an award." Spider-Man said, and created four web lines, two on each side of him. "Gotta angle this…just…right…there!" Spider-Man launched into the air, tackling Hobgoblin. He steered his opponent into a window of the Alchemax Building, and they both crashed through, Hobgoblin skidding across the ground as Spider-Man landed on his feet. "And the crowd goes wild as he sticks the landing!" Miguel said, and webbed Hobgoblin to the ground. 'Alright, let's get to the bottom of this. It's no coincidence that Alchemax is at the center of all these time disturbances.' He thought as he walked over to a nearby computer terminal, logging on using his Miguel O'Hara login info. 'Looks like I may have something. According to this, there's a large amount of power being diverted to the old Virtual Unreality lab that was shut down a while ago.' Spider-Man thought, and went over to nearby air duct, prying it open and crawling through. Luckily, Miguel knew his way through the air ducts, and 15 minutes later was crawling through the duct that lead to the Virtual Unreality lab. As he entered the large room through the duct, he saw that several scientists were working around various computers and machines. 'Looks like my hunch was right.' He thought, when he noticed a large swirling portal in the room. 'A time gate?! But the only one with the knowledge to build one like that is-' before Spider-Man could finish his thought, his spider-sense went off, leaping away as a green tail slammed the spot where he was a moment ago. Out of the shadows stepped what could only be described as a half-man half-scorpion, with mandibles, a pincer for a hand, and a tail with a stinger on it.

"Sssspiderrrr-Mannnn…" Kron Stone, formerly known as Venom 2099, and more recently, Scorpion said. After Kron had been separated from the Venom symbiote, he began suffering health complications, such as organ failure or periodic seizures, his father, Alchemax CEO Tyler Stone, had decided to infuse his son with scorpion DNA, but instead of curing him, it mixed with traces of the symbiote to mutate him into what he was now.

"Kron?! What are you doing here?" Spider-Man asked. Out of all the villains he had fought, Kron was by far the one that hit closest to home. Unknown to Kron, he and Miguel were half-brothers, sharing the same father.

"Father find me…ask me for help…promise make me human again." Scorpion said, and Spider-Man's spider sense went off again. He was expecting an attack from Kron, but to his surprise, a purple tentacle hit him from behind, before four more wrapped around his arms and legs.

"Aw shock. That you Serena?" Spider-Man asked, and was turned to face a woman wearing yellow armor with purple highlights, eight tentacles behind her.

"Spider-Man. Pleasure to see you again." Serena Patel, known to the few who knew of her role in Alchemax as the Doctor Octopus of 2099. She was the head of Alchemax's Shadow Division, a secret department dedicated to developing next-generation military hardware. She had become Doc Ock after finding a piece of the Tablet of Order and Chaos, the fragment affecting her Mental Stability. After Spider-Man defeated her, she remained as Doctor Octopus, working as one of Alchemax's Superhuman operatives. "I take it you're here about what's going on outside?"

"Oh, so you people do take a look outside your own self absorbed bubbles! I'm surprised, I honestly am." Spider-Man said.

"Enough!" A man with grey hair said. "We don't have time to deal with him!" Walked Sloan, former head of Alchemax's Time Research Division, said. A few months ago, he travelled back in time, attempting to rewrite history by starting Alchemax earlier than when it was supposed to be. It worked, but was undone by both Spider-Man and Peter Parker, the original Amazing Spider-Man, and Sloan was imprisoned by the Future Foundation for manipulating the time stream to his own ambition.

"Sloan?! I thought Richards sentenced you to life!" Spider-Man said, referring to the current head of the Future Foundation, Nathaniel Richards, the grandson of Reed Richards and son of Franklin Richards.

"We managed to negotiate some parole in exchange for fixing this mess." Sloan said.

"Wait, you're trying to fix this? I thought you sons of glitches were causing this!" Spider-Man said.

"Please, Spider-Man. What could we gain from destroying the time stream?" A voice sitting in a chair facing the time portal said, and it swiveled to reveal a man with cold eyes and grey hair, holes all over him. "No, we're trying to save both time and me!" Tyler Stone said. "Time is ripping me apart, and we're trying to figure out how to stop it before I'm completely erased from history!"

"Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, Tyler." Spider-Man said. 'Aw jammit, did he say completely erased from history? That means if that happens, I'm dead as well, seeing as Tyler Stone is my biological father!' He thought. "Alright, what do we need to do to stop this?"

"I'm surprised, Spider. I expected you to let time rip me apart." Tyler said.

"Yeah, well we Spider-Men like to say 'with Great Power comes Great Responsibility', so we kinda don't like letting people die, even people like you." Spider-Man said. "I take it Hobgoblin was with you?"

"Yes, we hired Hobgoblin to keep away anyone like you from interfering. Of course, it looks like he failed at that." Doctor Octopus said.

"Enough banter. Let's get to the point. We have no idea what's causing these disruptions, but we have a good idea. Last night, there was a break in." Sloan said, and handed Spider-Man a tablet with Gallows' picture on it. "This man, Jake Gallows, broke into Alchemax last night and used one of my prototype time portals to travel back in time."

"Punisher? Why would he do that?" Spider-Man asked.

"We don't know, but we have a few theories." Sloan said.

"Back when I was man, I have his family killed." Scorpion said. "Blake me…blame Alchemax…blame heroes."

"According to the police report, the men who killed his family wore superhero masks." Doc Ock said. "It's possible that he blames the heroes for allowing their image to be used this way, so he'll probably try to kill them."

"Either way, I'm going to guess that his goals aren't too make nice with the residents of whenever he went. Do we know where he is?" Spider-Man asked.

"Unfortunately, the prototype he used had no recall or tracking device. We've narrowed it down to one or two possible eras, but-" Sloan started to say, when Tyler slammed his fist down.

"One or two? I know exactly where he went!" Tyler said, and pressed a few buttons on his screen. Images of people Spider-Man recognized from the history vids as the original X-Men, Kang the Conqueror, the Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, and Ultron appeared before him. "The Heroic Age, specifically 2014. That is the time in which the steps to build the present we live in were made, and the time at which these heroes Gallows blames are at their prime, not to mention where the time stream is it's most fragile."

"Shocking wonderful. So what's the game plan?" Spider-Man asked.

"Send you back." Tyler said. "You see, while I would prefer to send Scorpion or Doctor Octopus after Gallows, their presence would only damage the time stream further." He pulled out a watch of some sort. "This is a chronal communicator. It'll allow us to communicate and monitor you through the time stream, and-"

"Hold up. Why wouldn't my presence damage the time stream?" Spider-Man asked, when an image of him standing in the New York of 2014 appeared in front of him, the device on his wrist.

"Because you've already gone." Tyler said. "If you don't go, then you'll create a paradox, damaging the time stream even further."

"So I'm the only one capable of stopping all the crazy stuff in the past? Wonderful. I shocking hate time travel!" Spider-Man said. 'As much as I hate helping out Stone and Alchemax, I have no choice if I want to save the present.' Spider-Man thought, making up his mind. "When do I leave?"

Year 2014, New York City, Central Park

It was the annual Horizon company softball game. This year, the teams were determined by the two sets of transformations each half of Horizon went through: Spiders, back when the Spider Plague reached its third stage, and Lizards, when the Lizard turned a good part of Horizon into his servants. "And here we are, bottom of the sixth, and who steps up to the plate? None other than our newest golden boy, Peter Benjamin Parker!" Bella, the Lizard teams pitcher, said from the pitchers mound.

"Go easy on me, ok Bella?" Peter said as he stepped up to bat. "Sports were never my strong suit."

"Join the club, dude." Grady said from the catcher's mound. "We've all been picked last for teams at school for as long as we can remember."

"Knock it out of the park Pete!" Mary Jane said from the stands, watching the game with Anna Maria and Uatu.

"Man, these guys got all the luck." Uatu said. "I was out of town visiting my grandparents with my folks during Spider Island, and I missed out on being turned into a Lizard. And now hear I am, sitting on the benches."

"Wow, Uatu. First time I've ever heard someone complain about not being turned into a monster." Anna Maria said.

"Have you seen my lab? I live for stuff like that. Just watch there be a werewolf attack and I have to go to the dentist." Uatu said.

'Alright, Parker, you know the drill.' Peter thought. 'Hold back those spider powers, but them let them loose just enough to wow the crowd.' Bella threw the ball, which hit Grady's glove.

"Strike one!" She said, and threw it again. Peter swung his bat, but it was too late as it already hit Grady's glove. "Strike two!"

"Man, I'd have thought Parker would have at least some sort of skill." Sajani said to Juergen. Bella threw the ball again, but this time Peter hit, sending it flying towards the two. He ran the bases, until he felt the all too familiar buzzing of his spider sense. He stumbled, and felt Juergen tag him with the ball.

"You're out!" Juergen said, but Peter ignored him as he looked around.

'Something's coming. My spider sense wouldn't have gone off like that if there wasn't some sort of threat.' Peter thought. From a nearby rooftop, Tiberius Stone watched the Horizon team through binoculars.

'Parker…Max's little 'Golden Boy.' I work my ass off trying to get into Modell's Lucky Seven for years, but then Parker just shows up one day and is just handed the job! What does he have that I don't? What makes him so amazing?' Tiberius thought, when he heard a helicopter over head, and smiled slightly. 'Well, at least I won't have to worry about Horizon any more.'

The Horizon team watched as the helicopter touched down in Central Park, and out came two men in suits. "Max Modell? " One asked. "My name is Agent Jones, and this is Agent Jackson, FBI. Can we have a word with you?"

"Yes? What can I help you with?" Max said, and Jones grabbed his wrists as Jackson took out a set of handcuffs.

"Max Modell, you are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you?" Jackson as he put the cuffs on Max's wrists.

"Yes, I do." Max said, and the two men lead him onto the helicopter.

"Bella, call Hector and let him know what happened. Tell him the day we've feared is here." Juergen said.

"Hold on, what's going in? What the hell just happened?" Peter asked, and the team members exchanged a look.

"Max didn't want to bother you with this, since you were working on your doctorate and he didn't want this to distract you." Sajani said. "Over the past few months, we've been facing several criminal charges from the Feds."

"What?!" Peter yelled. "What kind of criminal charges?"

"Harboring criminals, like Connors and Morbius, possession of dangerous materials, like my time door and Sajani's Reverbium, and Human Experimentation, from the Spider Island cure and the Alpha incident." Grady said.

"But the Spider Island cure and Morbius helped saved the city, and your time door helped us stop the city from being destroyed!" Peter said.

"Apparently the judge who signed the warrant didn't think so." Bella said. "We should get back to Horizon before the Feds accidentally set off any dangerous experiments."

"That won't be necessary, Ms. Fishbach. I already called ahead and had that robot assistant shut down any experiments that could be dangerous." A female voice said, and when everyone looked to see the speaker, Peter and Mary Jane's eyes widened.

"Holy s**t." Mary Jane said. Walking towards them was a blonde woman wearing a power suit, an right year old boy walking next to her. "Liz Allan? What are you doing here?"

"Peter, MJ, it's good to see you again." Liz said, and gestured to the boy. "You remember Normie, right?"

"Wow, he's gotten big." Peter said. "It's great seeing you again, but why are you here?"

"Because as of now, I'm your new boss." Liz said. "I'll explain back at Horizon. I have a limo waiting for us."

15 minutes later Horizon Labs, The Atrium

"My company, Allan Chemical, just bought the majority share in Horizon, and as of now all of Horizon's facilities and inventions are our property. None of you are in danger of loosing your jobs, and Know that it'll be business as usual." Liz explained.

"But what about Max? What're we going to do about him?" Anna Maria asked.

"Unfortunately, there's not much we can do for him at this moment." Liz said. "I know he's important to all of you, but we can't afford to focus on him right now. As of this moment, I'm appointing a new head overseer of Horizon." She pointed to her right, and what the Horizon team saw drew various reactions from the team.

"What the f**k is he doing here?!" Sajani said.

"Get him out! Get that piece of trash out of here right now!" Juergen said.

"Liz, you can't be serious! Do you even know who that is?" Peter asked. Entering the Atrium was none other than Tiberius Stone, a smug grin on his face.

"I'm the new Head of Horizon." Tiberius said. "Git any problem with that, Mr. Parker?"

"Liz, do you know why Max fired him?" Peter said. "Ty was spending his spare time working for the Kingpin as his own personal lab monkey. He even arranged for Hobgoblin to kidnap me!"

"That's bull, Parker. You have any proof to back that up?" Tiberius said. 'Alright, all the pieces are on the board. All I have to do is move my piece, and checkmate Horizon!' He thought, when an explosion rocked the building.

"What the hell?" Sajani said, when Punisher 2099 came out of the smoke.

"Tiberius Stone, the time for your punishment has arrived!" He yelled.

"Is that the Punisher?" Grady asked. "Since when does he look like that?"

"When it's not the Punisher we know." Peter said. "Sajani, activate the fields!" Sajani nodded and ran towards a computer terminal, typing in a few commands, causing a gravimetric field to appear in front of Punisher.

"A gravimetric force field? An old dinosaur like this? You have got to be kidding me." Punisher said, and took a rifle out of his belt. He fired at the field a few times, and it dissipated.

"Oh s**t! He must have overloaded the fields distribution system! Just type of rounds are those?" Juergen said, when he noticed Peter had disappeared. "Where did-?" As soon as he said that, Spider-Man entered the room.

"Franky, what's with the get up? You're all gritty and noir, not 90's comic book!" Spider-Man said as Punisher fired his rifle, laser blasts flying all over the place.

"Two targets in one place? Lord Thor is smiling down upon me!" Punisher said. "It is his divine will that I kill you right here!" He took out an energy pistol, and began firing it at Spider-Man, who leapt over each blast.

"Are we thinking of the same Thor? Because the Thor I know is a pretty cool guy, and we're on fairly good terms." Spider-Man said as he fired webbing at Gallows. "Besides, since when does Frank Castle worship Thor?"

"My name is not Frank Castle. I am Jake Gallows, and know that it shall be the last name you ever here!" Punisher said, taking out an energy knife.

In Grady's lab, his time door sparked, before turning all the way on, depositing a single figure.

Spider-Man dodged each and every slash of Punisher's knife, before grabbing his knife hand and twisting it, flipping him on his back. Punisher pressed a button on his wrist, and Spider-Man's spider sense buzzed right before electricity coursed through him, causing him to let go. Punisher kicked him in the chest, and looked at Stone, picking up his pistol and aiming at Ty. "Punishment is served." He said, and began pulling the trigger…

When webbing grabbed his wrist, and yanked away the gun. "Not so fast, Gallows." A voice said, and into the Atrium leapt Spider-Man 2099. "The only one who's going to be punished is you, once I haul your ass back to 2099!"

"Spider-Man, you of all people should rejoice at this!" Punisher said as he fired blast after blast at Spider-Man 2099. "Think of all the suffering Alchemax has caused. Imagine if it had never happened at all!"

"You're not seeing the bigger picture, Jake! Yes, Alchemax has done a lot of bad things, but think of our society, of how much we depend on Alchemax! Without them, we don't have a future!" Spider-Man 2099 said as he picked up a table and threw it at Gallows. Punisher dodged, and as he reached into his belt, Amazing Spider-Man recovered, and before he could process his future successor's arrival, ran up to Punisher and slashed his face, before kicking him to the ground.

"Jeez, regular Punisher's bad enough, but you're something else, y'know that?" Amazing Spider-Man said, and noticed Spider-Man 2099. "Miguel? What're you doing here?"

"That's a long story. You may want to sit down for this." Spider-Man 2099 said. Five minutes later, as Miguel and Spider-Man talked in Peter's lab, Grady was calibrating his time door to take Spider-Man 2099 and Punisher back to their own time, Gallows tied up next to him in webbing.

"Y'know, despite Max being arrested, this afternoon was actually pretty cool." Grady said to the seemingly unconscious vigilante. "Not everyday we get time travelers here at Horizon. Spider people, vampires, and Lizard men sure, but never a time traveler. Those guys always go to the Fantastic Four or the Avengers." As Grady said that, Jake's eyes snapped open. He swept Grady's legs out from under him, and took an energy knife from his boot, cutting through the webbing. He looked at the console regulating the destination of the time window, and formulated a plan.

'My plan was to kill Tiberius Stone and Liz Allan before they could even start Alchemax, but it's clear that won't happen.' Punisher thought as he changed the destination on the device. 'There's another point in which Alchemax is most vulnerable, when they were in danger of going completely bankrupt. If I can find the one who saved them from that and kill him, then I will have succeeded in my quest. Thor guide me.' Gallows thought as the device turned on, and entered the time window.

In Peter's lab, he and Miguel were talking about what just happened. "And you're sure it's all over in 2099?" Peter asked.

"I'm not. My line to 2099 went dead after I came through to the past. That means one of two things: either this device they gave me doesn't work, or that I failed and Alchemax's CEO is no more, which is bad news for me." Miguel said.

"How so?" Peter asked. "And why was your Punisher targeting Tiberius?"

"Well, to answer the first question, the current CEO of Alchemax is none other than my bio-dad, Tyler Stone." Miguel explained.

"Oh thank god. I was worried that it was still some crazy immortal version of me again." Peter said, referring to an earlier adventure he and Miguel had shared a few years ago.

"As for Tiberius, I've never met him, but I know him from the history vids. He's the founder of Alchemax, and as luck would have it, my shocking grandfather,!" Miguel said. "Your Stone built Alchemax up from the ground, but not before he destroyed his former employers." Peter's eyes widened.

"What are you saying?" Peter asked.

"That the catalyst for Alchemax's rise to power is the destruction of Horizon." Miguel said, when there was a banging at the Lab Door.

"Spider-Man, other Spider-Man! That terminator wanna be knocked out Grady and went through his time door!" Bella said, and Miguel and Peter ran out as they pulled on their masks.

"How'd he get out of my webbing? I thought we stripped him of all his weapons!" Superior Spider-Man said as they ran towards the lab.

"He must have been hiding something where we wouldn't look. He's as crafty and dangerous as they come." Spider-Man 2099 said as they entered Grady's lab, where said man was applying an ice pack to his forehead.

"I think I figured out why time travelers always go to you Avengers." Grady said.

"Mr. Scraps, where or when did he go?" The Spider-Man of the future asked, and Grady checked his console.

"October 8th, 2032." Grady read, and Miguel gasped.

"Of course he'd go there. Other than this era, there's no other point in time when Alchemax is at its weakest." Miguel said, when his costume flickered for a moment, and he clutched his head. "Jammit, what's he doing there? I can feel my memories starting to change, and it's not really showing a good future!."

"That's not good. Let me guess, nuclear wasteland?" Grady asked.

"Close. We're all slaves to Thanos." Miguel said. "We need to hurry. If Gallows actually manages to destroy Alchemax, not only will the future be gone, but the change in history will ripple across the timeline, even affecting things here in 2014."

"Grady, can you send us to 2032?" Amazing Spider-Man asked.

"Well, yes and no. Yes, as in I can send you to 2032. No, as in I can't guarantee whether or not you'll end up at the same place or moment as Punisher." Grady said as he booted up the time door.

"Anything else?" Miguel asked.

"Other than stop that nutjob from breaking time? Not really." Grady said, and the time door whirred to life.

"You ready for this?" Miguel asked.

"As long as we don't run into any evil CEO versions of me this time, I'm good." Peter said, and the two leapt into the time window.

New York City, October 8th, 2032

"Yearghhhh!" Peter and Miguel yelled as they materialized in an alleyway.

"Shocking jammit, he could have warned that it would hurt like a glitch." Miguel said.

"Sorry, but we don't have fancy time machines like you people in 2099." Peter said as they recovered. "Is this the time?" Miguel took a peek outside the alley, and nodded.

"Yep. This is 2032 alright." Miguel said, and noticed Peter start climbing the walls. "What are you doing?"

"Getting a lay of the land. This may only be 18 years in the future, but A lot can change." Peter said as Miguel climbed behind him.

"Wait up, Jammit! There are a few things about this year that you need to know!" Miguel said as Peter flipped up onto the roof.

"I doubt I'll find anything that'll really surprise…me…" Peter said, when he noticed the roof's occupant. There was a girl wearing a red and blue body suit with a red torso, blue legs, a spider emblem on the chest that reached around her shoulders, breasts, and hips, silver bracelets on her wrists, and a mask like Spider-Man's, with his web-like design on the red parts.

"Dad? What are you doing wearing that old thing?" The girl asked, and Miguel hopped onto the roof.

"Hey Miguel? I take it back. Turns out I was wrong." Peter said.
