Lauren screwed the cap on the last bottle she had made then put it in the fridge. Her mouth twisted up as she wondered if she should make another bottle. Giving her head a slight shake and believing the four small bottles would be enough until she got home later in the day, she closed the refrigerator door and walked out of the kitchen. An exasperated breath left her as she entered the guest. It was cluttered with the baby stuff she and Bo had bought yesterday. They had dumped everything into the room and decided to deal with it later, but Lauren knew they would never get to it. Unless a miracle happened.
She got a stack of diapers from the already open pack and a tub of wipes then went to the living room. After placing half of the stack on the bottom part of the coffee table along with the wipes, Lauren went up to her and Bo's sleeping area. She placed the rest of the diapers on top of her and Bo's dresser before stopping to check on Mylo. He was sleeping peacefully, and a smile came to Lauren's face.
She watched him sleep for a few more seconds then glanced at Bo to see if she was still asleep. A quiet chuckle escaped Lauren when saw her fiancée had cuddled up to her pillow. She walked over to the nightstand to get her phone, and as she headed into the bathroom, Lauren pulled off the t-shirt that she was wearing. Once she had tossed it into the laundry basket, Lauren went over to the shower and started it. While waiting for the water to warm up she texted Lexie to see if she was at the hospital.
Lauren had gotten up early to make sure Bo was all set for the day with Mylo, and she had also written out some helpful tips for her in case he got too fussy for her and told left a note saying to call her or her mom if she felt overwhelmed. It wasn't that Lauren felt uneasy leaving Mylo with Bo, she just wanted to make sure she had enough guidance to get her through the day. Lauren smirked. If anything Bo would figure out how to take care of him in her own way.
Her phone vibrated on the bathroom counter and Lauren picked it up, seeing a message from Lexie. It was a quick one that said she was at the hospital. Lauren sent a reply and asked if Arizona was there and if she had some time to study. At some point she would have to adjust her studying schedule, because at the moment it worked, but as older Mylo got she was going to have to work it around him.
Lost in her thoughts, Lauren got into the shower and continued to think about how she was going to balance being a mom and a med student. At some point her mind had drifted to her dissertation, and as washed she thought about the parts of it that needed more evidence to support her thesis. Lauren was so deep in thought that when she felt lips press against the back of her neck, she jumped a little and squealed in surprise, making Bo laugh. Bo continued to laugh as she turned to face her, and Lauren gave her shoulder a firm shove. "You scared the hell out of me. I probably woke Mylo up."
Bo chuckled as she leaned in to give her a kiss. "He is probably still sleeping," she murmured as she pulled back a little. She smirked. "He was up most of the night, so I don't think much will be able to wake him." Lauren gave her a pointed look and Bo sighed. "You want me to go check on him, don't you?"
Lauren grinned and nodded her head. She gave Bo a quick kiss and said, "You have to be quick. I have thirty minutes before I need to leave."
"It's a good thing we decided shower sex is only for quickies now."
Lauren laughed quietly as Bo got out of the shower and left the bathroom. As she waited for Bo to come back, Lauren finished washing, and as she rinsed the suds off her body Bo came back into the bathroom. "How is he?"
"Sleep," Bo said as she got into the shower and closed the door behind her.
When she began lower herself to the floor of the glass enclosure, Lauren asked, "What are you doing?"
Bo smiled up at her and replied, "You said I have to be quick, so I'm being quick."
Lauren opened her mouth to let her know this wasn't what she had meant, but the objection was cut short when Bo leaned forward and her tongue delved between the sensitive folds between her thighs, zeroing in on her clit. Widening her stance, Lauren gave Bo more access to the sensitive organ and she began to suck on it. Lauren's hand flew to the back of her head and she drew in a sharp breath in response to the stimulation to her clit. All thoughts of trying to derail Bo's actions disappeared from her mind.
Minutes later two of Bo's fingers slid into her, and Lauren let out a low moan that echoed throughout the bathroom. Bo released her clit from her mouth, but the fingers she had inside of Lauren slowly began to move in and out as she said, "You may want to work on trying to be quiet."
Bo's thumb massaged her clit as her fingers maintained their leisurely pace, stroking the aroused muscles wrapped around them. Lauren bit her bottom lip and groaned as the pleasure coursed through her body, making it tense up as she tried to keep her balance. She swallowed to moisten her throat and drew in a shaky breath before. "Stop talking," she ordered breathlessly.
Bo chuckled and murmured, "As you wish."
Her mouth resumed its voracious attention on Lauren's clit as Bo's fingers continued move inside her. Lauren gripped the back of Bo's head as the dual stimulation drover her closer to the orgasm quickly building inside of her. Lauren gasped, and pleaded for Bo not to stop, and it was long did she feel the stirrings of the orgasmic wave that would soon take her under.
Bo became more enthusiastic in her efforts, and the pace of her fingers picked up as she sucked harder on her clit. Lauren tried to hold back the cry that wanted to escape her, but a sharp one slipped past her lips as she succumbed to the pleasure and euphoria of her orgasm.
She felt Bo kiss her pubic area as her fingers continued their movement, but at a slower pace, stretching out Lauren's amazing orgasm. Once the peak of it, and the subsequent high of her climax faded, Lauren drew in a deep breath through her nose and released it as she reached down to stop Bo's hand. "Stand up."
Bo removed her fingers from Lauren stood up. Bringing her head forward, Lauren captured her lips for an intense kiss. As their lips slid against each other Lauren guided Bo to the back wall of the shower. When Bo was pressed against the wall, Lauren reached between them and cupped the area between her legs causing her to gasp, breaking their kiss. Lauren let out a low chuckle as she kissed across Bo's jaw. She caught her earlobe between her teeth, giving it a gentle tug before releasing it. "I'm going to do what you stopped me from doing last night."
Bo let out a breathless, disjointed chuckle. "And what's that doctor?"
Two of Lauren's fingers slid effortlessly into Bo, and she hummed in approval before she breathed against her ear, "Making you come."
Bo moaned as Lauren moved her fingers further into her, and feeling the tight muscles clench around her fingers only turned her on more. Knowing they only had so much time, Lauren felt cheated by the fact they didn't have more of it so they could spend the rest of the morning losing themselves in one another.
Bo turned her head and captured Lauren's lips for a searing right as Lauren started to drag her fingers in and out of Bo. The barely contained moans and sharp gasps that came from Bo resonated through the bathroom as Lauren worked hard to make her come. The inevitable happened to quickly for either of their liking, and Bo's body tensed up under Lauren's as she murmured her name over and over again.
Lauren maintained slow strokes in an attempt to prolong Bo's orgasm. When the peak of it had passed, Lauren kissed her and removed her fingers from the snug muscles wrapped around them. She let the kiss last a moment longer then she broke it to kneel down to the floor of the shower, wanting to give Bo the same attention she had given her when she had joined her in the shower.
Fifteen minutes later they were getting out of the shower and Bo stood behind Lauren and kissed the side of her neck. "Are you going to be late?"
Lauren grabbed her towel and began to dry her hair. "Not too late, but it might be too late for me to go study with Lexie." She grinned when she saw an apologetic come to Bo's face in the mirror. "It was worth it, Bo." She turned to give her a quick peck on the lips. "I think I'm going to go talk to the hospital's residency coordinator later to see if I can get a guaranteed spot at Mass Gen."
Bo hummed. "Do you think you'll get it?"
Lauren shrugged. "I'm not certain, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Nepotism has its perks for a reason." She moved away from Bo and dried off her body, tossing the towel that into the basket after she was done. "I made four small bottles. I'm not sure if they will be enough for the day, but I figure it's a good start. I put diapers in the living room and I brought some more upstairs. Don't be afraid to call me or my mom if you need help, Bo." Lauren moved to the bathroom counter and picked up her brush. As she began to brush out her hair she continued. "If I'm going to stay late, or decide to spend some time in the lab, I'll come home for an hour so I can-"
"Lauren," Bo interrupted. "You don't have to do that. Just call or text to let me know. Mylo and I will be fine, and if I have any questions, I will call you, but I would rather not because I don't want to distract you."
Lauren turned to look at her. "You and Mylo are not a distraction, and I know the two of you will be okay. I just want to make sure you are prepared for the day."
Bo smiled at her. "I appreciate it, but we're just going to be home. I mean I'm going to take that paperwork to the lawyer, but me and Mylo are going to be fine."
"You're taking him out?" Lauren asked as she put her hair up in a ponytail.
Bo looked hesitant to answer the question, but she said, "I am. It's important that we get the financial paperwork to the lawyer."
Lauren nodded. "I know it is. I just didn't plan for you take him out." She frowned. "I guess I can run down and get together an outfit for him so that way—"
"You're an overbearing mother," Bo said as she started to laugh.
Lauren scowled at Bo. She wasn't an overbearing mother. Making sure Mylo was protected against the harsh winter weather did not make her overbearing. "How is me making sure that he is protected from the cold overbearing?"
Bo chuckled as she replied, "It's not that, it's the fact you're doing everything." Lauren opened her mouth to argue the point, but then she realized she was doing everything, and it closed.
Bo moved closer to her and gave her cheek a kiss. "It's fine. One less thing I have to worry about, but I am fully capable of getting him dressed and making sure he's bundled up." She let out a small laugh. "This is why you and my mom butt heads. You two want to do everything, but you can't. Oh, my god. I've never realized this, but you two are so alike."
Lauren glowered at Bo as she started laughing again. "I am nothing like Aife."
Bo caught her breath and said, "Not exactly, but you have some Aife like qualities. Oh, this is funny."
"I'm going to go get ready to go," Lauren stated as she turned to leave the bathroom. She was nothing like Bo's mother. Not only was she not annoying, but she didn't meddle, nor did she give her opinion when it wasn't asked for.
Lauren checked on Mylo, and he was still sleeping and completely adorable. She went over to their dresser and pulled open the drawer that held her underwear. She got out a bra and a pair of panties, and as she was putting them on Bo walked out of the bathroom.
She walked over to Lauren and gave her a lingering kiss. When she pulled back, she apologized. Sort of. "You're nothing like Aife. If you were, I wouldn't be marrying you. I have one mom in my life and I don't need another." She grinned. "But if I were Mylo, I would get used to the hovering because that's where you and my mom are the same."
Lauren growled and argued, "We don't know for certain that I'm an overbearing mother. It could be first-time parent jitters."
"Possibly," Bo remarked with a smirk.
Lauren rolled her eyes. She wasn't going to give Bo anymore ammo to tease her further. She put on her bra and said, "I have to get dressed and go, Bo."
Bo chuckled and leaned in to give her a kiss. "Okay and I'm sorry. You are nothing like my mother, and Mylo is very lucky to have a mom like you."
Even though she wanted to remain irritated at Bo, she couldn't. Lauren shook her head and muttered, "I hate the fact that I have yet to find a way to resist your charming nature."
Bo chuckled and gave her a quick kiss. "You don't hate it. You love every bit of it, and even if you did find a way to resist my charming nature, I'd still find some way to get you." Bo moved away from her and undid the towel that was wrapped around her. Lauren bit then inside of her lip as she went into their dresser to get a long-sleeved shirt and a pair of scrubs. She shook her head and turned her back on Bo. There was no way she was going to let a naked Bo distract her. Lauren glanced over her shoulder, but she was oh so tempting.
Lauren got dressed and Bo lounged on the bed watching her. It was a good way to start the day. As she was heading down the stairs to go pack up her book bag and shoulder bag Mylo woke up. She turned around on the step she was on and began to make her way back up them. When she reached the top of the stairs Bo said, "Go back to what you were doing, Lauren. I've got him."
Lauren stood on the stairs and watched Bo get off the bed and pull on a t-shirt before going to get Mylo out of his bassinet. As soon as she picked him up, he calmed down and Bo smiled. "I bet you're hungry, buddy. We'll get you fed and changed then all will be right with the world." Lauren smiled as she Bo with Mylo. Bo glanced at her and said, "Go to work, Lauren."
Lauren let out an irritated huff and made her way down the stairs. "If I was working, I would be enjoying it. No, this is self-prescribed hell."
A chuckle came from Bo and Lauren shook her head as she went to the dining room table to pack up her bags. She was zipping up her book bag when Bo came downstairs carrying Mylo. She walked over to them and said, "I have to go."
"Okay." She smiled down at Mylo. "The two of us will be fine, and if there are any problems I will call your mother because your goal for the day is to focus and to not get on Arizona's bad side worse than you already are."
Lauren groaned. She had forgotten that she on Arizona's shit list. She kissed Bo then gave Mylo's head a gentle kiss. "I have to go. I forgot that she less than likes me at the moment. I have to go read up on her patients and hope for a miracle."
Bo chuckled and said, "I will hope for one for you. We'll see you later."
Lauren got her book bag and shoulder bag then headed to entryway so she could put on her coat. Once she had it on, she called out, "I love you."
"We love you too," Bo called from the kitchen and a huge grin formed on Lauren's face as she walked out of the door. It was then she realized she had ten minutes to get to her bus stop. Lauren rushed down the hall, and she started thinking about what she would do to get back on Dr. Robbins's good side.
Bo took a long sip of her coffee as she continued to write out her notes. It was too early for her to try and setup a meeting with Therese, but she needed to talk to her about not teaching in the fall. She also needed to call the lawyer's office to find out when it opened so she could drop off the paperwork. Bo sighed and glanced at Mylo who was sleeping peacefully on the couch. She was going to have to move him, but she didn't have the heart to do it quite yet.
Bo looked down at her notes for the first seminar she was going to be giving, which would be sometime in late March. She finished writing out the last point then closed her notebook. Bo leaned forward and placed her coffee mug on the coffee table before getting up from the couch. After bending down to carefully pick up Mylo, she carried him up to the sleeping area and laid him down in his bassinet.
Going back downstairs, Bo went back to the couch and dropped down on it and grabbed her laptop. She made a call to one of her colleagues in Italy and the two of them talked and bounced around ideas about her latest research idea before they moved to one of the projects Bo had help start over there. By the time she had gotten off the call two hours had passed. Bo got her cell phone and called the lawyer's office. The line rang a couple of times then it was answered by a cheerful voice. "Attorney Jerome Douglas's office, Sandra speaking how may I help you?"
Bo tried not to laugh. Other people's professionalism always amused her. "Hi there. Mr. Douglas asked me to drop off some financial documents, but I didn't get the address. Would you be able to give that to me so I can drop them off?"
"Absolutely! May I ask which case the documents are for so I can get the file ready?" Sandra asked, and Bo could hear her shuffling some paperwork around.
Bo gave a slight nod and said, "Sure. It's for Lauren Lewis and Bo Dennis and our petition to be an abandoned baby's foster parents."
Sandra hummed. "I show here that we're filing an emergency junction for adoption. Not fostering."
"I'm sorry, but that can't be right. I thought we had to foster him first before we could file for adoption?" Bo said as she tried to figure out where this new development had come from. There was no need for him to rush for an adoption when she saw no need for it.
Sandra clicked her tongue and said, "Ah. Okay. It looks like Jerome is filing for adoption on the grounds that the baby was abandoned with no documents, which indicates that whoever had given him up has no intention of coming back for him. With you and Ms. Lewis determined to adopt him, Jerome sees no reason why we should delay the inevitable."
Bo nodded, but there was something in the back of her mind that told her there was more to this. "Is Mr. Douglas available to speak with?"
"I'm sorry, Ms. Dennis, but he is currently in with a client. When do you expect to be at the office? I can let him know you were looking to speak with him" Sandra said, being impossibly cordial.
Bo looked at the clock on the cable box, and it was going to take her at least an hour to get dressed and get Mylo ready to leave. She pressed her lips together. "I should be there in an hour and a half. I just need the address."
Sandra giggled. "Of course."
She gave Bo the address, and Bo realised it wasn't that far from Northeastern. Since she was going to be in that part of town, Bo decided she might as well stop and go talk to Therese and get a jump on some of her work. A slight frown formed on her face. This meant she was going to have to pack up some things for Mylo. Bo chuckled and shook her head. Adjusting her thinking to where she also thought about him was going to be a challenge. "Can we make that two hours? I have to make sure I pack everything up."
Sandra chuckled. "That actually works better since Jerome will be free for an hour before he goes to court."
"Wonderful. I will see you in two hours, Sandra."
"I look forward to it," Sandra told her before they hung up.
Bo dropped her phone on the couch and blew out a breath. As much as she wanted to think more about the change in her and Lauren's case to adopt Mylo, she couldn't. Bo needed to get read to leave. After packing up her notes, Bo grabbed her phone got off the couch, calling Lauren as she headed up to the sleeping loft. The call went straight to voicemail, so she left a message. "Hey, I'm going out to drop the paperwork off at the attorney's." Bo paused for a moment as she tried to figure out if she should tell Lauren about the sudden turn in their case. She sighed. "Something has changed about our case, and I'm going to talk to the lawyer about it, it's nothing serious. Mylo is still with us, but they're not filing for us to be his foster parents. They're going right for adoption." She sighed again. "I've got to go because I need to get Mylo ready, but I'll call you later when I have everything figured out. Love you."
She ended the call and tossed her phone on the bed before walking over to Mylo's bassinet. He was sleeping soundly with his mouth open and Bo chuckled. He was going to fit in perfectly with her and Lauren. Bo went into her and Lauren's closet, and as she started getting dressed, she mentally went over the list of things she would to need bring for Mylo when they went out for the day.
Lauren stood in the OR and she hoped the surgery Dr. Robbins was performing wasn't going to take much longer. She was dying for a cup of coffee. She wasn't tired, but she could use the extra boost. "Lauren," Dr. Robbins called out from her spot at the surgical table. "I have detached the ducts. What is my next step?"
Lauren cleared her throat and replied, "You're going to excise the gallbladder then you will attach a loop of the small intestine to the liver, which will become the new duct for the liver." She glanced at the monitor that aired the procedure and added, "The anastomosis looks like it will hold well, so I would use an interrupted stitch using a 5-0 monocryl suture."
Dr. Robbins looked up at her and gave a slight nod. "Very good. I would like you to scrub out and write me a five-page paper on the complications that could occur with a Kasai procedure. I would like it before you leave today. You are also to check in with Dr. Morales every half hour to run through cases with him."
Lauren pressed her lips together behind her surgical mask and mentally swore at herself. Between writing a paper and checking in with Dr. Morales every half hour, she wasn't going to be able to work on her dissertation. However, she wasn't going to complain because she knew her situation could be a lot worse. She gave a slight nod. "Yes, Dr. Robbins. Would you like me to check in with Dr. Morales first, or would you like me to begin with the paper first?"
"That is your decision, Lauren, but I want that paper before you leave, and I want you to have checked in with Dr. Morales enough times that you know everything about my patients," Dr. Robbins said before she asked for the bovie.
"Yes, Dr. Robbins," Lauren said before she turned to walk out of the operating room. She walked into the scrub room and pulled off her surgical mask. Since she had gotten to the hospital that morning Arizona had been riding her ass hard. They had been in three surgeries together, and during them Arizona asked Lauren questions about the procedure she was performing. If she hadn't been currently learning almost every medical procedure known to man, Lauren wouldn't have been able to explain a couple of the procedures.
As she scrubbed out Lauren frowned. She wanted to take a minute to call Bo, and see how she was doing with Mylo, but it was obvious that she wasn't going to get a chance to do that.
Lauren dried off her hands then walked out of the scrub room, heading for the bank of elevators. After pressing the button for the floor the cafeteria was on, Lauren took her hair out of its ponytail and raked her finger through it. Her first stop was to the cafeteria so she could get a large cup of world most terrible coffee then she would head up to peds to check in with Dr. Morales. At some point Lauren planned to go to the research library.
The elevator arrived, and Lauren stepped on the car. She took her phone out of her pocket and saw she had a missed call from Bo. Unlocking her phone, Lauren listened to the voicemail and let her head fall back against the wall of the elevator. Her eyes closed as she listened to it, but they opened and Lauren's eyebrows furrowed. She didn't understand why they attorney was going right for adoption. It didn't seem right. As much as Lauren was excited for this development she also didn't want to do something that would cause them to lose Mylo.
Lauren tried to call Bo, but the call went right to voicemail. She tried not to get anxious about what that could mean, but when she factored in that Bo had Mylo with her she started to worry. She sent Bo a text telling her to call her.
The elevator stopped on the floor for the cafeteria and Lauren stepped off of it. She walked over to where the coffee cart and ordered her coffee. While she was walking back to the elevator her phone started to ring, and with no hesitation, Lauren answered it. "Okay, so here is a rule. When you go out, you have to let me know when you arrive at wherever you're going because I'm not going to lie, it makes me a little nervous."
Lauren could hear the smile in Bo's voice when she said, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to worry you, but I was meeting with the lawyer. I'll text you when Mylo and I get to my office."
The elevator came and Lauren frowned as she stepped onto it. "Why are you going to your office?" She pressed the button for the peds floor. "He shouldn't be out in this cold weather, Bo. Also, how is he doing? Has he been sleeping all day? If he has, I want you to wake him up so that way he'll sleep more tonight."
"Lauren, breathe..."
Lauren scowled. The elevator arrived at the peds floor, and she got off it. Instead of walking to the department, Lauren went to the small sitting area by the reception area. "I am breathing, Bo. I just want to make sure he is okay."
"And he is," Bo replied. "I have him in pants, a long sleeved onsie, and his coat. There is blanket is covering him."
"Hat?"
"Yes, his hat is on. Honestly, I think he may be too warm. You know Mylo's like a furnace," Bo remarked, and Lauren rolled her eyes.
Lauren took a drink of her coffee. "Regardless if he's a furnace or not he needs to wear a hat, or you will be the one taking care of him when he has an earache." Bo remained quiet and Lauren grinned. She had won that one. "Why are you going to the office?"
"I have to talk to Therese about not teaching in the fall and I also want to start on my seminar, so I'm going to get some research done."
Lauren nodded and took another drink from her coffee. "All right. Did you bring enough bottles, diapers, and wipes?"
"Yes to all of those."
Some of Lauren's concerns had lessened, and she was able to remember the reason why she had called Bo in the first place. "What's going on with the lawyer?"
Bo let out an annoyed breath. "My mother is what's going on with the lawyer. I hate the fact that she's well known in legal circles."
Lauren clicked her tongue and grimaced a little. "If it weren't for her connections we wouldn't have Mylo. It's a doubled-edge sword."
Bo let a small chuckle. "It really is. But she asked Jerome all these questions, so now he's going to present our case as one of abandonment and two people wanting to give him a loving home. Will it work? I'm not certain." She sighed. "I would call my mom, but I'm not ready to talk to her after what she said last night. I mean, I know she meant well, but I would like to think we have a better understanding of our life than she does."
Lauren hummed and replied, "You're absolutely right, but you should talk to her, Bo, and see what she says. Maybe she'll be able to give you a good idea on the outcome."
Bo snorted a little. "I'll think about it. How is your day?"
Lauren blew out a heavy breath. "Arizona is being relentless. I have to write a paper on all the complications of a procedure, and I'm certain she's going to want treatment plans for those complications so I'm going to start a paper for that as well." She sighed. "I've been in three long surgeries, and on top of doing that paper, I have to squeeze in my dissertation while checking in with Dr. Robbins's resident." Lauren glanced at her watch. "Which I need to do here in a minute."
"When does she want you to turn in this paper?" Bo asked, and Lauren could hear the concern in her voice which made her reluctant to answer. She took a long sip of her coffee then pressed the lid of the cup to her lips. Another few seconds went by and Bo said, "Lauren?"
Lauren drew in a deep breath and released it. "Bo, remember I am a med student, and they try to put us through things that would resemble the hospital environment once we're out of school."
"I'm not certain what that means, Lauren, but she better not be trying to kill you."
Lauren smiled. "She's not trying to kill me." A deep breath escaped her. "I did something wrong and now I'm being punished for it. I'm certain this is just the tip of the iceberg. Don't worry, Bo, I will be fine."
Bo grunted softly in disbelief. "That makes me feel better about everything."
Lauren chuckled and said, "I'm sure it does. I have to go check in with Dr. Morales then I need to go set up an appointment with the residency coordinator."
"All right. Make sure you eat today."
Lauren grinned. "I will eat, and don't let Mylo sleep all day, professor."
Bo chuckled. "I'm going to ask that you keep my title out of any conversation referring to our son."
Lauren laughed and as she caught her breath she remarked, "Certainly." She was quiet a moment then she added in a soft voice, "I love you."
The sentiment was returned right away, and a heavy silence filled the line. "I love you too." The were quiet for a moment and Lauren closed her eyes as she focused on this moment with Bo. It ended a few seconds later when Bo sighed and said, "Okay, doctor, go work yourself to death and I will see you when you get home."
"Okay," Lauren said as she tried to ignore the intense need to be at home with Bo and Mylo. Living a life of domesticity was something she thought she would loathe, but life with Bo was nothing like what she thought it would be, and now that they had Mylo, she wanted to experience more of their life together, focusing less on becoming a successful doctor. Lauren shook her head to rid herself of the thoughts that were not only shocking, but also shocking. "I'll see you when I get home."
"Okay."
The call ended, and Lauren stood in the reception area for a second longer before turning to go into the paediatric wing. She wasn't going to think about Bo or her need to be home with her and Mylo. She was going to go over Dr. Robbins patients with Dr. Morales and write this paper while trying to finish her dissertation. Lauren ran her hand through her hair. She had brought this on herself, and she accepted it, but it didn't mean that she couldn't be irritated by it.
I needed a break from my werewolf story, so here you guys go. All medical information is derived from loose Google searches, so take it with the grain of salt.
