It's late in the evening. . .

The events of earlier were still fresh in Tidus' mind and the more he thought about it the madder he got and he's already about to lose control. Rikku had phoned and told Tidus about Devyn making the moves on Yuna yet again and Devyn was in for a bad day once Tidus did find him. Yuna sat on the couch in the living room thinking about certain things, however, no matter what she did, all she could think about was Tidus.

Yuna shook her head. "Get a grip on yourself, Yuna!" she said talking to herself. "Tidus is just a friend. Nothing more." Disappointment is written upon her face.

Devyn came strolling along the sidewalk, heading for Yuna's place when he was suddenly grabbed and pulled into a nearby alley. He tried to fight whoever it was that had him, however, he was overpowered and brutally slammed up against the wall where he felt cold steel press against the side of his neck.

"I should kill you right here, right now!" the guy said angrily.

"Who are you!?" Devyn asked

"You're worst nightmare!" the guy said, holding Devyn at gun point as he back into the street light, exposing his identity.

"TIDUS!" Devyn shouted as he started at him

Tidus cocked his gun. "Go ahead. It'll give me just the excuse I'm looking for to kill your ass right there where you are standing!"

Without a second to spare, Devyn leaped at Tidus, trying to punch him though Tidus ducked, dodged his swing and he retaliated with an uppercut right under his chin. Devyn fell to the ground face down with a hard THUD and a loud groan. Tidus walked over, firmly placing his foot on the back of Devyn's shoulders to hold him down.

"Just who the hell do you think you are?!" Devyn asked.

"Justice!" Tidus said smugly. "This is your last warning, Devyn! Stay away from Yuna!" With a cocky grin, Tidus turned and walked away with Devyn watching him through narrowed eyes.

Yuna had just gotten out of the shower, the steam still visible upon the bathroom mirror. She walked over to the living room window and took a deep breath while she debated on whether or not to go out with Devyn, however, before her decision was final she saw a very familiar car pull into her driveway and her face lit up. She adjusted her bath robe a bit, took the towel off of her head and ran her fingers through her moist, silken trestles. After she tossed them about a little bit, she took a deep breath and proceeded towards the door. Upon nearing it there were three knocks and she soon opened it to find a very stern Tidus behind it. She was a little bewildered yet stunned by the look on his face.

"What's wrong?" Yuna asked.

"Expecting someone?" Tidus asked as he crossed his arms over his chest. Yuna narrowed her eyes a bit. "Does Devyn ring a bell?" Yuna's eyes went wide. "You can consider your little date with him. . . canceled."

"What did you do this time?" Yuna asked sternly.

"Never mind what I did." Tidus said pushing his way into the house and Yuna just glared at him. "Get dressed. We're headed to the Al Bhed Prime."

"You ruin my chances of maybe meeting someone and then you barge in here demanding that I go out with you?" Yuna asked. "It doesn't work that way, Tidus."

"Look. You can dress yourself or I can throw you over my shoulder, carry you into your room and dress you myself." Tidus spatted at her, crossing his arms over his chest. "What's it gonna be?" Yuna placed her hands on her hips, giving Tidus that "you wouldn't dare" look. Tidus just shrugged his shoulders. "Have it your way then." Without a second to spare, Tidus scooped Yuna up in his arms, threw her over his shoulder and headed to her bedroom.

"Tidus!" Yuna gasped. "Put my down at once!"

"Not a chance." Tidus teased at her as he entered her room.

It wasn't long afterwards that Tidus and Yuna arrived at The Al Bhed Prime where almost everyone spoke Al Bhed and Rikku's main place to hang out. She tagged along with Tidus and Yuna on this so called epic adventure to help scout out the prime suspect and to make things appear a little less fishy. Although angry at Tidus for what he did, Yuna couldn't help but to laugh at Tidus due to the fact that he could barely speak Al Bhed and had no clue to what anyone was saying. He knew small words like "Hello" "Goodbye" and that about covered it. Hencing the fact that Yuna's part Al Bhed, she knew the language quite well, but wasn't an expert at it like Rikku.

Rikku's already had one too many to drink and was ready to pick a fight. Tidus and Yuna sat off in the corner at the back of the club not far from the dance floor to get a bird's eye view of the place. Yuna was intently scolding at Tidus for that little incident earlier. What exactly did Tidus do to her?

"I still cannot believe you, Tidus." Yuna scolded as the strap her of her shirt slowly slid over the side of her shoulder. Tidus eyes were certainly glued on the seductive sight before him and was about to literally drewl. Yuna had on a coral, low cut spaghetti strap top with glittery sequence all over, too super low rise black denim jeans with a sparkling diamond belt to accent her delicate features with black spike heeled sandals to match. Her hair was parted on the right side, slightly feathered back for that sophisticated look and her make up was flawless. She wore three diamond bangles on her right arm and a diamond armband on her left with matching diamond hooped ear rings and a tear drop diamond necklace to finish her look. "I look like a show girl that works here no thanks to you." She noticed that he was looking her over like a treat and immediately fixed her top. "And stop staring at me!" She then looked away, however, Tidus was still looking at her. Feeling like someone was watching her, her eyes shot right back at him. "What are you looking at?" Tidus grinned. "Don't even say it, Tidus!"

Suddenly a guy who was bit woozy from drinking too much seen Yuna and stumbled over to her. "Excuse me, miss." he began in a slurred voice. "Can I get a cup of coffee?"

Tidus burst into laughter as Yuna's eyes narrowed in anger. "I do not work here."

The drunk looked her over. "Are you sure?"

Tidus laughed even harder as Yuna's temper flared and her cheeks turned red. Upon seeing that, Tidus escorted the guy away and was still laughing when he walked back over, however, instead of sitting in the chair across from Yuna, he sat in the one next to her.

"That's not funny." Yuna said through clinched teeth.

"Relax." Tidus said. Yuna gave him a certain look and he bit his bottom lip. "Sorry." Yuna looked away in shame and he immediately began to kick himself. "Come on, Yuna. I didn't mean it that way."

"I know." Yuna began. "I just remember certain events when I hear someone say that to me." Tidus stroked the back of her hair and she looked at him. They gazed into each other's eyes, reading the feelings they held within when suddenly Rikku faltered over onto the table, startling both of them.

"Ohhhhhh, man!" Rikku managed to speak out through grunts ad groans. "I feel sick!"

"Then turn your head in the other direction." Yuna said nearly scooting back closely against Tidus.

Rikku just hiccuped, grunted once, groaned twice and then fell over onto the floor and was passed out cold. Tidus smelled a rat. "It's not like Rikku to get this drunk so soon after just getting here. Usually it takes quite a bit to get her this way."

"What do you think it means?" Yuna asked.

"He knows we are here, but I am unsure of whether or not he knows our exact location inside the building." Tidus said.

"What should we do?" Yuna asked.

"If things get suspicious, just follow my lead." Tidus encouraged.

Suddenly, Rikku shot straight up, burst into laughter and spun around in a circle. "Man, what a rush!" She then staggered onward with Tidus and Yuna watching her in concern.

The lights inside dimmed, the music began to play and before you knew it the dance floor was full. Rikku certainly hit the dance floor, which was one of her favorite things to do. She moved along with the beat of the music in perfect rhythm and was showing the other girls out there just how to break it down.

"Wanna dance?" Tidus asked above the heart pumping music. Yuna shook her head before he could even finish the question and all he could do was shrug his shoulders. He then leaned forward against the table, getting closer to Yuna who nearly could feel his breath upon the back of her neck. She tensed up almost instantly as Tidus got a seductive hint of her fragrance, which smelled of strawberries and cream. She felt him nuzzle against the back of her neck and just held her breath.

"What are you thinking?" Tidus whispered in her ear.

Yuna turned, looking him face to face, their lips just inches apart. "I'm thinking I have to go to the bathroom."

That wasn't exactly the response Tidus was hoping for. He had hoped that Yuna would have told him to take her in his arms and kiss her passionately. That was exactly how Yuna was feeling deep within her heart, however, was afraid to put it to words. Tidus, on the other hand, could see the want and longing in her eyes, but would not act upon it. He wanted Yuna to tell him that she wanted him. It was just something that he needed and wanted to hear her say.

Tidus fought back the temptation to kiss those lips before him. "Keep a sharp eye out on your way." Yuna nodded her head. "There's no telling who or where this guy is." Yuna then slowly slipped away and walked towards the rest room, however, just as she was about out of sight, Tidus saw someone strange, someone who just seemed out of place and he immediately went after Yuna.

Upon reaching the rest room, Yuna found herself 5th in line, for several were awaiting their turn when suddenly she was grabbed from behind. She almost screamed until she got a glimpse of who had her as he dragged her over to a nearby corner, pressed her back against the wall and sealed his lips upon her own. Yuna's eyes flew open wide as she pulled away from Tidus.

"What are you doing?" Yuna asked in a stern voice.

Tidus glanced over his shoulder. "He's here!" Yuna crinkled her eye brows. "The head guy!"

"How do you know- -" Yuna trailed off.

"The hooded trench coat!" Tidus said in a hushed voice. "He's the only one wearing one in this club!"

Yuna rolled her eyes. "Tidus. . ."

"Yuna, listen to me for Yevon's sake!" Tidus said through clinched teeth as he grabbed her by her shoulders.

A strange, dark hooded figure stepped forth, glared at the dynamic duo who were obviously not paying any attention to their surroundings and snaked a sinister grin upon his face.

Yuna looked away, putting the palm of her hand right square in his face telling him plain as day to "talk to the hand". Tidus hated when Yuna done that. Although he found it to be cute in an irritating kinda way.

"Whatever, Tidus!" Yuna snapped.

Tidus moved her hand away. "Don't do that, Yuna." Yuna looked at him while she placed her hands on her hips and shifted her weight onto her right side. And did Tidus ever find it sexy when she did that. "I kissed you to try and ward that guy off of your trail. He was heading straight for you."

Yuna scoffed. "If you could call that a kiss."

Tidus' eyes went wide. "Say what?!"

"You heard me!" Yuna teased in a sneaky manner, for she knew she was getting under his skin and that she loved to do. Especially when she got the better of him. "All you did was give me a little, boyish peck on the lips." Tidus narrowed his eyes at her, curving his bottom lip up and Yuna knew right then and there that she had gotten to him for sure. Maybe a little too much, however, she continued to press her luck. "Come find me when you learn how to kiss like a real man." She turned to walk away, however, Tidus grabbed her and jerked her back around. Yuna gasped as she looked at him.

"I'll show you how a real man kisses." Tidus said only to take her in his arms and press his to her own.

Yuna was in utter shock, for she didn't expect Tidus to react in such a manner. However, as the shock wore off and the seductive feeling of his lips moving over her own, she began to melt like ice. She slowly opened her mouth and welcomed him into heated kisses of passion. She slowly slid her hands up his chest and wrapped her arms around his neck as he slid his hands down around the small of her back. Pulling her closer to him, Tidus parted from her slightly, tracing the outline of her lips with his tongue, beckoning to taste her sweet kisses. Yuna smiled and graciously welcomed him with a warm kiss, which was deep and filled with such passion and desire. Their tongues dance together to the symphony of love.

For a moment in time, they were captured in the heat of passion. The world around them disappeared and it was as if they were the only two left in existence. Their hearts raced against each other while they caressed each other in a loving embrace. Captivated only in each other and this very moment, they held each other as tightly as possible, never wanting to let go as they continued to kiss each other devotedly.

Tidus then slowly parted his lips from Yuna's and looked deep into her eyes, breathing a deep sigh. "Yuna. . ." Yuna listened to him carefully, for she was hoping to hear his true feelings at last. "I. . ." He sighed nervously. "Sorry." He then stepped backwards and walked away from her, leaving her in a dazed state of bewilderment.

"Sorry?" Yuna questioned to herself where seconds later she realized that Tidus was walking away and gave chase.

Tidus walked on ahead at a fast pace. "Sorry?" He thought to himself. Of all the things that Tidus could have possibly said to Yuna at that one point in time, he had to say "sorry". Tidus was surely one that was quick witted on words and knew how to make a sarcastic come back when the timing called for it, but when it came to Yuna and his feelings for her, he was a total dunce. Her smile alone was enough to make him go weak in the knees, her touch was enough to make his heart melt and her eyes were enough to hypnotize him. He smacked himself on the forehead as he cussed at his own stupidity.

Yuna at last caught up with him and ran in front of him, stopping him dead in his tracks. "Sorry?!" Tidus rolled his eyes. "You just gave me like one of the most romantic kisses in all of Spira and you apologize for it?"

One of the most romantic? "Yeah, right!" Tidus thought to himself in laughter. That was more like a heated, passionate kissed delivered in the name of love. Tidus just chuckled to himself as he listened to Yuna babble at how fast the situation with from hot to cold in just a matter of seconds. "Would you rather that I had went on?"

Yuna bit her tongue and scratched the back of her head. "Now is not the time or place to be talking about such personal stuff." She rolled her eyes at her own lame come back as she turned away and rolled her eyes.

Tidus gently placed his hands upon her shoulders and glided then down onto the sides of her arms. "When are you going to stop fighting your feelings for me?"

Yuna's eyes went wide, her mouth dropped open and she spun around. "Don't flatter yourself, Tidus!" Everyone in Spira knew of the love they secretly held within, however, refused to let the truth be known to their hearts. No one could find an explanation as to why they were hiding it and probably never will. All we can do is let love sail its course and hope they it brings the light of truth to their darkened hearts.

Rikku faltered, tripping over her own two feet as she fell into the table in front of her. Her vision was blurry, her balance very unstable. She felt sicker than she had ever felt before. She knew something was terribly wrong, for she did have more than a few glasses of wine. She managed to push herself up only to be greeted by a white cloth over her mouth. A few deep breathes, a bit of a struggle and then darkness consumed her world. Rikku fell limp within the arms of the stranger who then carried her away.

Yuna slowly turned towards Tidus who kept his grasp upon the sides of her arms. She gazed into his eyes, smiling as she shyly looked away. "Tidus. . ."

"Yeah?" Tidus asked in endearment.

Yuna gazed back at Tidus, her eyes sparkling with a hint of joy and love. "I. . ." Tidus could feel his heart racing in his chest. Was he about to hear those words he longed to hear. "I lo- -" Suddenly Yuna's cell phone began to ring, which totally killed the mood and even the moment itself. Tidus grumbled as Yuna rolled her eyes and huffed. She then got her cell phone out, flipped it open and placed it to her ear. "Rikku?!"

"Hello, Yuna." came an eerie, mechanical voice from the other side of the line.

Yuna's eyes went wide and she fell dead silent. "You!"

"Have you seen your cousin lately?" teased the voice. "A beautiful lady. Her hair golden as the sun, her eyes a wonderful shade of emerald swirled to perfection." Yuna knew right then that something was indeed not right. She looked around in a panic and noticed right away that she did not see Rikku anywhere. "Who are you looking for? Looking for me. . . or are you looking for your cousin?"

"Where are you and where's Rikku?!" Yuna nearly shouted over her phone.

"Who is it?! What's wrong?!" Tidus demanded to know.

"Hmmm. Always the demanding type, isn't he?" the voice continued to tease.

"You sick freak!" Yuna shouted.

The voice just laughed. "We're all twisted in our own ways, my dear, however, I will let you know this." Yuna listened carefully. "Someone's gonna die tonight. It's either Tidus. . . or Rikku."

Tidus saw the despair upon Yuna's face and took the phone away from her. "Listen to me, you sick fu--"

"Watch your language, Tidus!" the voice said in a warnful tone. "You're in the presence of a lady."

"I grow weary of your little mind games!" Tidus said through clinched teeth. The voice just cackled.

"Why I've never had so much fun!" the voice cackled. Tidus looked around and then nodded with his head to Yuna and she knew exactly what that meant. She withdrew her gun and headed off. "It begins!" The phone then went dead. Tidus put the phone away, withdrew his gun and headed off in pursuit of this mysterious stranger.

Yuna burst through the front door, a serious look upon her face as she took aim. She took in her surroundings carefully while she stood there in defense mode ready to strike. Tidus soon barged through the front door serious as ever. He was certainly not in the mood to play anymore.

"He's got Rikku!" Yuna brought to Tidus' attention. "And from he told me he is going to kill her if we don't find her."

"Wha- -" Tidus questioned.

"He said someone was gonna die tonight. It's either you or Rikku and if I have anything to say about it, neither of you will die on this night." Yuna cocked her gun. "I'll see to that personally."

Yuna's phone rang yet again, however, Tidus answered it this time. "Hello?"

"Find me yet?" the voice teased and laughed. "LISTEN UP! The game has begun. We're going to play a little guessing game of hide and seek. You have three seconds to guess where I am." Tidus and Yuna looked around. "Time's up!"

Suddenly, out of no where, bright lights came on, nearly blinding Tidus and Yuna who tried to shield their eyes. Tires squealed loudly as a car came driving straight towards them at a deathly speed.

"Look out!" Tidus shouted as she grabbed Yuna by the waist and dove to the pavement below, rolling out of harms way just as the car swerved by, barely missing them. After rolling a few more times, Yuna came to rest on her stomach in near fetal position. Tidus was laying on top of her, protecting her and harboring her from any danger. It's only when Tidus felt that it was safe that he raised up, looking behind him. Yuna slowly pushed herself up off the ground, looked at Tidus, and then at her surroundings.

Tidus slowly stood up, helping Yuna up along the way. He then looked at her. "You okay?"

"I'm fine." Yuna said. Tidus placed his hand to her self, tilting her head from side to side as he checked her over. He then comforted her a bit. Yuna's cell phone then chimed in the distance. Tidus looked and once he saw it on the ground just beyond him he walked over and picked it up and pressed the button to display the text message that had been forwarded. There on the front of the phone were the words. "Catch me if you can!"
