All the poems will be written by survivors of the war. Some names may pop up a couple of times in different writings. This first poem was written by Hermione shortly after the war and after she brought her parents safely home.
The Final Downfall
Hermione Granger
There comes a time in everyone's life
A time to make choices
A man so evil chose a path of destruction
Crushing spirits and outspoken voices
Lord Voldemort came as a half-blood
Wizarding mother and muggle father
Orphaned at birth, obsessed with his family
Found the truth, hated it because his father was a bother
He set on a quest of immortality
Being like his "weak" mother was his greatest fear
Achieving his goals one by one
Evil and terror swept the country, bringing up the rear
One attempt at the final Horcrux went horribly wrong
He entered the home, murdered a woman and a man
Turned on their innocent child "Avada Kedavra"
He transferred a piece of his soul to the intended victim plan
Its 16 years later and he's finally
It's cost many lives, family and friends alike
Remus and Tonks, so young in love
The deaths are endless, filling a never ending dike
Looking past the deaths, a victory is won
Harry Potter, our once dead hero, is alive again
Our suffering is over, the fear is at end
When we will suffer like this, nobody knows when
