Shadow and Sonic were walking around the building, touring the new school.
"I'm surprised you came along with us, Shad," Sonic smiled.
"I had nothing else better to do," Shadow said, not looking at the blue hedgehog.
"You must be good if you made it into Obelisk," Sonic complemented.
"And you must be horrible since you made it into Slifer," Shadow said cooly.
"Why, Shadow! I'm heartbroken!" Sonic teased. He looked over towards the wharf and saw some students by the pier fishing. "How about we go introduce ourselves?"
Shadow walked away, "Do whatever you want."
Sonic ran over towards the boys.
"Hi there!" he smiled.
There were three total. One had brown hair and wore a Slifer jacket. Another had long blue hair and the third had his hair in braids. They were both in Ra.
"Hey!" The brunette greeted. "You're Sonic! It's awesome to meet you!"
"Why, thank you!" Sonic smiled.
"I'm Jaden," the brunette continued. "These are my friends, Syrus and Hassleberry."
"But I'm his best friend," Hassleberry smiled.
"Quit it, Sarge!" Syrus yelled. "He's my best friend!"
"Do they always argue like that?" Sonic asked.
"Yeah," Jaden smiled. "I guess we're going to be roomates."
"I guess so," said Sonic. "I just hope they have good food here."
"They do! Especially the shrimp!"
"Can you lead me to the buffet?" Sonic asked as his mouth watered.
"Sure can! Let's go!"
The hedgehog and Jaden walked off, leaving Syrus and Hassleberry behind.
"Did you ever get the feeling that those two are getting along too well?" Syrus asked.
"I think Jaden found a new twin," Hassleberry said.
