Part 2: Song of the Mouse
I wake up in my burrow and before I even try
To do something for myself I very quickly fly
Over to my brother's nest to see that he is well
To remind of the brotherhood that makes our hearts swell.
I serve my brothers breakfast and I practice with my blade
And in my mind I think about the Lion where he laid
Having sacrificed himself to save our worthless hides
We live for him, and took the ropes from his face and sides.
We step outside the burrow, ready for a lovely day
When a Giant comes along in a funny rumbling way
And he laughs and jeers at me, and so do many others
So I tell them of my honor and the honor of my brothers.
Sometimes I have to use a sword to fend off their remarks,
Their words chase and consume me quickly as sharks,
But then Aslan reminds me that He really does love me,
And that won't change no matter how the world decides to shove me.
