Chapter 8: Onward to Space
Months has passed and Kira spend more and more time with Arwen. Arwen herself started to get worried about the people who suffered. She had met Lotus and Terra as she found out that Terra is a child inside. Though the huge laser had come again this time it was shot 80 times on one location. After the laser has dissipated, Jean along with Priestess, Rondae, and Lotus had a meeting. Terra was out of it as well as Arwen. However Arwen has her little bug around and heard everything.
"The time is now. We must go and stop those lasers and stop anyone else who is about to destroy the planet. Earth cannot take another laser shot as well as the people inhabiting this planet," said Jean.
"I agree. We need to go however, we need to keep Arwen here. She can be a liability," said Rondae.
"She has her mother's feisty spirit. Convincing her is almost impossible especially when she set her mind to something," said Kira.
"That can be a problem," said Jean. Rondae sighed as he does not like tagalongs as well as liability factors.
"Another thing we have to have someone else stay here for another reason," said Priestess.
"Terra can stay, that way Terra and Arwen can be around," said Kira. Arwen shut her bug as she is frustrated about these people leaving earth not taking her with them.
"Terra want to come with me. I am going up to space trying to kick some Tyrants butt hopefully to keep everyone else surviving," said Arwen.
"Would I ever. I mean I wanted to play and use my scythe. I haven't fought for a long while," said Terra.
"Ok then I buy the smallest space craft to go there in space ," said Arwen. Terra smiled wide.
"What are we waiting for lets go," said Terra. Arwen and Terra left the building while the others still are in their meeting. Terra bought the spacecraft no thanks to Arwen's money she saved like crazy.
"Do you know how to pilot the spacecraft?" asked Arwen to Terra. Terra smiled as she turns on the propulsions.
"Nope but that will not stop us," said Terra. Terra manage to get the craft off the ground and head for space. Arwen hold on tight as she felt the air is getting thinner and thinner. Terra found the button to turn the oxygen level. Arwen begun to breath heavily and then normally.
"Sorry about that but where are we supposed to go," said Terra. Arwen pulled out the space chart.
"I know where but the landing part is what I do not know," said Arwen. Terra looked at the map.
"Hey neat chart where did you get that," said Terra. Arwen looked at Terra with a huge smile.
"I stole it from work. I am going to give it back when peace arrives," said Arwen. Terra looked at her shock.
"Ok well where we are going my navigator," said Terra. Arwen looked at the map and from how long the cannon shot earth.
"We are going to the Orbit Space Colony. That is where the cannon shot from Earth," said Arwen.
"How do you know that?" asked Terra. Arwen smiled wide and sweetly. Terra has a confused look.
"Because everyone on earth knows that. If the tyrant is up there then we might have a chance to get rid of him. And claim back peace in the name of Earth," said Arwen.
"Ok so onward," said Terra as she flown the spacecraft on the area of the colony. Arwen hold her breath as she let Terra out. Terra walked out and felt disappointed.
"Arwen are you sure?" asked Terra, "I mean what is the big idea not having oxygen here. Though it does not matter to me but to you yeah." Arwen closed the door and finally breathes again.
"MEGA SYSTEM ONLINE. MODEL A MEGAMERGE!!" shouted Arwen as she is now in a suit. She stepped out and Terra whistled.
"Nice suit. Well what are we waiting for lets go," said Terra. Arwen looked at Terra.
"First thing first. Set your frequency to 2. That way both won't have interference. Second of all. About the air not being in here. Most of this place is run by reploids so they do not need air like humans do. I have to be careful not to take too much damage or it is lights out for good. Third of all, we have to be cautious us two being detected will cause an alarm," said Arwen.
"Do not worry about me I will be careful," said Terra. The two started to move and several mechanaloids were firing at them on the spot. Terra summoned her scythe and have a sadistic smile. Terra in a blazing speed destroyed the mechanaloids as Arwen helped out by shooting. Meanwhile…
"Sir intruders went breech the first sector," said a male reploid, who wears brown and white with purple eye and green hair, to the shadowy figure.
"Send in the rioters to the second sector," said the shadowy figure. The reploid start typing in the computer and looked shocked.
"Sir they have breech the second sector and from the movement of our intruders they will be in the fourth sector in matter of minutes if not they will reach here," said the male reploid.
"Identify the intruders," said the shadowy figure. The male reploid typed something in the computer and have the surveillance on the two.
"Sir their identity is unknown but from the variant source. It looks like they came from Earth," said the male reploid.
"So even Earth is rebelling against me. They had their fair warning however, this is quite unexpected. How long will the laser be recharge?" asked the shadowy figure.
"About 30 minutes tops," said the male reploid. The shadowy figure had a sinister smile.
"I want it fully recharge and soon we hit Earth with one final beam destroying that pathetic of a planet as a message for those who oppose me," said the shadowy figure. Meanwhile… Priestess heard her bells went off as the meeting has adjourned. Priestess started to walk near the front of the shop.
"I take it that Arwen is with Terra and they are somewhere-" said Jean as Priestess looked at Rondae and Jean.
"She left to space with Terra. When they got there is beyond me," said Priestess. Jean looked at them.
"She wouldn't dare," said Jean. Rondae looked for the map and sighed. He looked at Jean.
"She did she even take the map with her. We need to tell the resistance of Orbit Space Colony. This does not look good. What that child is thinking," said Rondae.
"I may not know that either but this is the first time she went off on her own," said Jean.
"No it is not. She had done so in the past. However, now it is more of her determination of helping others is not making her back down," said Kira.
"We need to get there as soon as possible," said Priestess. Kira and Lotus knows more about it.
"I have enough to pull for a space craft. Lotus I take it you have to stay here. We do not want capsules to be broken," said Kira.
"Hai," said Lotus as she disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Kira and the others start heading for a place that they know where they can buy a spacecraft.
"Please child do not die on us," thought Priestess as the others closed up shop and leave for another spacecraft.
