Slipping Grasp
I used to know you so well
My hand used to be
the only one you would hold
your bright green eyes
used to be my anchor
but much too suddenly
your hand starts
to slip out of my grasp
and your hand is gone
before i could ever hold it tight enough
and darkness closes in
and painful
stabbing feelings
overwhelm me
much too suddenly
I can't remember
the way you touch
I can't remember
how you feel
I can't remember
the sparkle in
your bright green eyes
the highlights
in your hair like flames
I was in love
if we could be
one body
in one soul
yet you fell away
so, so easily
and it isn't your memory
that haunts me
it's the fact that
you're still here
right next to me
yet so far away
your far away hand
becomes a shadow
and blurs around the edges
I grasp blindly for it
but you're in my loving
hold no longer
I can still hear your voice
right next to me
but it doesn't speak
to me anymore
your words are just for him
you whisper in the wind
but it's not my name
you breathe with excitement
anymore
I hope you liked it...Just so you know, I don't like Snape...I really don't. James is so much better...but nevertheless, I do pity him, and I wrote this poem to personify his love for Lily...please review and go check out all of my other fanfictions as well...especially Because of Course, a many chaptered story of Lily and James...I also have many poems in that on the side, and separate poems on the side.
