Larry and Roy take part in a game of Cheat, and Larry just can't figure out how Roy catches him every time!

"The game, dear brother, is 'Cheat',"

Cards were dealt amongst the two brothers, red backs with odd designs sprawling about in organized chaos. Both boys reached down, and admired their hands. Not much to work with, Larry thought to himself. He glanced at the focused brow of his brother, Roy; large, red sunglasses hid his eyes and any emotions Larry hoped to read. He swallowed a lump in his throat. He picked up the card on top of the desk, and lay it face up on the table, just to be fair and to give him something to work with. It was a four. Great, it just HAD to be a four, didn't it? The one thing he had nothing close to. He looked over at Roy, who's expression was still dull and unreadable. Nervously, he lay down two cards. "I play two threes," Larry proudly announced with a sly smirk.

"Cheat," Roy breathed, folding back the corners of the cards, a seven and a king. With an annoyed sigh, Larry tucked the three cards into his hand. Shit. "Two kings," He muttered, resting his chin in his scaly palm. Long claws tapped against his chin as he less-than eagerly awaited Larry's move.

Static seemed to flow through Larry's mind. He admired his cards, and lay down a card. "One queen," He mumbled, only to be called a cheat. Gosh, Roy got him again! With an aggravated sigh, Larry picked up the two cards in what little pile had built up. Roy lay down two twos, and Larry put down an ace in turn, which of course was not his card. Roy called him on it. Every single time Larry cheated, Roy caught him! How was this possible? Larry ALWAYS won card games, no matter what!

Soon enough, Roy had won; all his cards lay out in the pile. Larry, on the other hand, had three times as many cards as he had started with. Frustrated, he glared up at his bald-headed brother, who had grown very impatient, and was eager to go back to his room and get a little shuteye, or pick on his other brothers. "Roy," Larry stood up and walked over to his bigger sibling, eyeing his wrist cuffs to make sure he wasn't hiding anything in a secret pocket. "You got me every time! How did you know I was cheating?" Smirking, Roy half-heartedly replied,

"They don't call you Cheatsy for nothin'!"
