Chapter One-The Meeting

Nikki stood at gate 717 waiting impatiently for Rosalie's flight to show up. Just then, the door opened and out stepped a bunch of passengers. Finally, a girl about five feet four inches with short brown hair and fair skin stepped out of the door with her solitary brown suitcase. She spotted Nikki.

"Nikki?" she asked.

"Rose?" Nikki responded.

They ran up to each other and hugged.

"Oh my gosh you really DO have a random British accent!" Nikki commented.

"Um…thanks! And no duh I do, I live in England!" Rosalie retorted right back.

"Follow me! My car is-wait- is that a picture on your necklace?"

"Yes, it is. It's my mom. My locket is the only picture I have of her. The other half was ripped off a long time ago."

Nikki picked up her own locket off of her neck, and fit the broken part of hers onto the broken area of Rosalie's. "That's my mom in your locket."

Rosalie looked over at Nikki's locket. "That's my dad in your locket! Are we…sisters?"

The two stared at each other for a bit, not knowing what to do, but then Nikki practically attacked Rosalie for a hug. The two girls started crying to themselves.

"My sister…" Rosalie whispered.

"Forever." Nikki finished.

The two wiped the tears out of their eyes, and ran off to Nikki's car. It was a silver convertible.

"What a great car! I love it Nikki!" Rosalie said happily. "My sister has a great sense of style!"

Nikki laughed. "I think you'll like it here in New York. For Pete's sake, maybe you could even come and live with me in my apartment! My mom lives at a smaller apartment closer to her business in Manhattan, so I never see her except for on holidays. She probably wouldn't mind you here! After all, you are her daughter!"
