Addison was starting to think that may be she'd made a mistake being so direct. Derek was looking at her like he was trying to think of how to let her down gently. But she didn't regret it, she wanted him. There was no explanation for it. She just wanted him, wanted to be in his arms even if it was just for the night.
These
arms wanna hold you
These lips wanna kiss you
These eyes are
glad to see you
Baby I miss you
Let's drive each other
crazy
Like we did back then
Why don't we get together
And
break each other's hearts again
Derek was trying to convince himself to tell her no. It was best for both of them. They had caused each other too much pain, and going there would just rehash the pain, but he couldn't quite do it. As badly as he wanted to say no, he just couldn't. He wanted his Addison. There was just something about her that made him whole. Before logic could win out, he stood up and dropped a couple of twenties on the counter.
Maybe
I've had one too many
I don't wanna say too much
We both know
the reasons
Why we didn't keep in touch
We know good for each
other
Still its hard to let it go
I'm trying to be strong
But
babe you gotta know
Well she had her answer. Addison watched Derek drop the payment on the counter and prepared to order herself another drink to drown her sorrows, and then the unexpected came. She felt the same hand that had paid the bartender take hers and start leading her out of the bar.
These arms wanna hold you
These lips wanna kiss
you
These eyes are glad to see you
Baby I miss you
Let's
drive each other crazy
Like we did back then
Why don't we get
together
And break each other's hearts again
Derek reveled in the feeling of that warm, soft, trusting hand. "Let's go Addie."
