Max p.o.v
He bumped his left wing against my shoulder, "Yo"
I avoided his eyes; I knew they would make me go all gooey. "Hey"
His strong, rough hand clasped mine, I looked at him, he was grinning.
Oh my, whenever Fang smiles the whole world spins, brightens up and I forget, that I'm a muted freak with wings.
When Fang smiles, I feel like a normal teenage girl, in love for the first time.
And that totally and completely freaked me out; I mean I was Maximum Ride, the incredible, the invincible. But, with Fang, I didn't feel invincible.
Is it that important Max said the voice

Max, you're not any different, not really.
Huh, care to elaborate. Of course, the voice stayed silent.
"Max" Fang's deep, husky voice brought me back to reality, he was looking at me strangely
"You okay, voice" he asked
I nodded, I felt some small pressure on my hand, so we were still holding hands, I hadn't noticed. I squeezed his hand back.
Maybe I was just being stupid.
