A/N: I take artistic liberties in order to drawl them so they don't look illustration-canon. Excuse the strange aging, but hey, it's Wonderland.
Hi! I feel I owe some people who seemed to enjoy my story a sincere apology for not updating since... well, a long time ago. Things were... crowded. But I'm back, and I plan on putting up some more stories in the coming days!
Sorry!
Disclaimer: Neither Alice's Adventures in Wonderland or Through the Looking Glass belong to me!

"Are you ready?"
Hatta stroked Haigha's hair, smoothing the fur on his ears and tucking a strand of white fringe out of his eyes. He looked over the powder blue trousers, white linen shirt, and large brown overcoat that he had had commissioned from Mistress Weaver the spider for this very special day. There wasn't a spot of dirt on them. Haigha's face was shining and pink, and he carried a large valise full of bread and butter. He looked like a perfect china doll. How could anyone be repulsed by this little boy?
"Yes, Hatt." His voice trembled, revealing his lie, but Hatta knew not to acknowledge it.
"Good." He nodded firmly. "Now, do you remember what I told you about the other boys and girls?"
"They will only treat me different if I act different."
"Too right." Hatta gave Haigha a last hug goodbye, then patted him on the back and sent him to his first day of Looking Glass school. Then he wiped a tear from his eye and turned around, setting off to join Time; they were going to build Haigha a tree house, and he knew they had to get started late if they wanted it to be done early.
