The Twelve Days of Supernatural

Chapter 5:

On the fifth day of Christmas my Deano-o gave to me, on sale Burger King!

"Seriously? Took you long enough to get the damn door." Ruby stomped through the door, brushing past a half-naked Sam and plopping herself down on the nearest bed. Surrounding her was an assortment of burgundy furniture as well as a half cracked TV. "You two always choose the nicest motels to stay at." She turned to look up at Sam; her jaw dropped instantly.

Sam tightened a towel around his waist and blushed. Droplets of water covered his body and wet hair was plastered to his face. "You caught me at a bad time. I'll go get changed?" His blush deepened as she nodded quietly in agreement.

"Where's your brother?" She raised her eyebrow and looked around the room, mystified.

Sam brushed off her question as he walked over to a dresser to get clean clothes. He continued on to the bathroom, shutting the door behind him.

Ruby stood, walking around the small room, inspecting and picking up various items. "You're taking forever. I thought guys only take two minutes to get dressed and ready for a day."

Sam walked out of the bathroom, pulling a shirt over his head. "In a hurry or something?" His voice was curious.

"Well..." She looked around the room distractedly.

"Well?" He prodded at her to finish her sentence.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go get something to eat."

Sam gave her an amused look. "Did you just ask me on a date?"

"No!" She shot his a glare then continued, "I was planning on inviting Dean, too."

He laughed. "Dean's already getting food, I think."

"Where is he?"

"Burger King, why?"

"Let's go." She stomped out of the room, Sam trailing her footsteps.

After a ten minute car ride...

"I told you! I want 300 burgers with extra bacon!!" Dean nearly jumped over the Burger King counter. It was obvious that he was refraining from chocking the life from the poor boy in front of him.

"Sir. I told you, my manager isn't here right now and I can't process an order that large." The boy looked scared.

"Then process 20 burger orders fifteen times. I want my 300 burgers."

"But-"

"No." He cut the younger man off. "No but. Just do it."

"That'll be $671.54."

Dean pulled a credit card from his pocket, paid, then turned from the till. Running into an amused looking Sam, he looked towards Ruby in question.

"I was going to buy you two supper... But..." She made a weak attempt at explaining herself.

"300 burgers Dean? Really?" Sam looked at his as if he was crazy. "It's not that great of a deal."

"Are you kidding me? They're only like $2 each!"

"And how are you planning on eating all of these?"

"We're freezing some in!" His tone of voice was sharp and defensive.

"With what freezer?" Sam continued to look at his brother as if he was crazy.

"I'm installing one into the Impala." His voice had the tone of finality, and he turned to find a seat. "Anyone want a burger?"

"Sure?" Ruby and Sam's reply came in unison as they sat down beside each other.

Dean's face suddenly fell.

"What?" Sam looked at him, concerned.

"They didn't have any pie left."
