Chapter 1 - Blood Moon Approaching
"Let me tell you a tale... " - Says a ominous voice with a strange echo as the stars of the cosmos are being seen
"A tale?" - A female voice is heared
"Yes, I know you have been thinking about the future but trust me when I told you that it could be worse." - Says the voice full of echo
"... How?" - Asks the woman
"Simple... The end of the world caused by a curse." - Says the supernatural voice
South Town
A woman is seen running desperately through the streets of South Town in the middle of the night under the moonlight, with her running in great panic as she takes shortcuts in the alleys she knows in hopes of escaping her pursuer; a strange shadow that was apparently chasing her across the roofs of the city's buildings, jumping from one roof to another.
"AH!" – The woman reached a dead end with her falling backwards to the ground, while the shadow that was chasing her ended up landing from a relatively high height to the ground without ending up causing an accident that could have killed a normal person.
"Ah… ah… Please… Don't hurt me! I-I'll give it all I've got, but please…let me go!" The woman exclaimed as her hands shook and picked up her purse from the floor to open it to get some money and give it to her pursuer so he would leave her in peace.
"Oh, I see you confused, my dear. I am not one of those pesky thieves who operate in these areas..." The shadow would say to the woman and raising its head shrouded by the darkness of the place, it would show glowing dark red eyes that would make the woman's fear redoubled
"And there's more, I don't care about your money!" - Says the shadow getting up and slowly starting to approach the woman who becomes shocked upon hearing that answer.
"S-so, what do you want from me?" The woman would ask again, this time dragging backwards until she was cornered into a wall.
"What do I want from you? Hehehehe, it's a very simple thing actually... It's something that every creature that was born into this world has to resort to within each of us..." The shadow would respond and come face to face with the woman, with the woman who was chased to that point, being able to see the face of the person who was chasing her with a terrified look.
"Y-you!? It's impossible!" The woman responded with genuine shock at the identity of her stalker.
And with a cruel smile showing its sharp upper and lower canines as sharp as a ferocious animal and ready to strike, the shadow would finally answer,
"I want your blood..."
In a blink of an eye, the shadow's mouth would open with a cry similar to that of a thirsty monster being heard as it advanced on the woman, with the woman's screams being heard in the middle of the night and no one around to hear her agony...
The next day - Airport of South Town
"South Town, oh how I missed this place!" - Says Kyo in a sarcastic tone arriving with Daimon and Benimaru.
"Oh come on! Making aside his smell of sewers and the crime rates, this place isn't that bad." - Benimaru
"You said that because of your small group of fans in South Town..." - Kyo
"Well they certainly have good taste in favorite fighters." . Benimaru
"Yeah, the seven of them." - Says Kyo for Benimaru's annoyance
On their way to the hotel they meet with certain person in the streets
"Kyo, so you and your team will participate in the tournament tomorrow?" - Ryo
"Ryo, well of course we were going to participate. After what happened in the last tournament is good to be back with Daimon and Benimaru." - Kyo
"I thought you enjoyed fighting with Yagami and Kagura, Kyo?" - Asks Benimaru
"Look, you may be annoying sometimes. But Chizuru acts like she was a second mother and Yagami... You already know the deal." - Says Kyo in a not so happy tone.
"You know I was actually looking foward to team up with you guys again." - Daimon
"I see, this years competition is going to be tight." - Ryo
"Hehehe, I'm sorry to say this Ryo. But don't get your hopes so high, this time Kyo won't be elminated from the tournament like last time... Because I'm on his team." - Says Benimaru with a smile full of confidence for the annoyance of Kyo
"You were only lucky..." - Kyo
"Maybe if you had listened to Kagura's tips, you three could had won... Maybe, probably you three would had loss still." - Benimaru
Ryo sees Benimaru, Daimon and Kyo enter to the hotel as their argument continues
Later that night.
Kyo is seen staring at the window of the hotel room with him, hearing a report of the TV.
"The woman was found with strange marks on her neck, she was transfered to the South Town Cental Hospital." - Says the host of the TV news
"(South town is such a mess of a city. But people biting other people?)" - Thought Kyo confused hearing this as he looks at the window. Kyo decides to prepare himself to sleep for the tournament tomorrow.
Meanwhile
Port of South Town.
The bodies of John Crawley and Jack Turner are seeing on the ground of a warehouse on the ports of south town alongside more people from men and women who look like their blood have been drained from their bodies
"How is this possible? What the hell happened to you, Sakazaki?" - Ask a injured Mr. Big dragging himself trying to escape the warehouse as the shadow approaches him slowly
"Nothing happened... I just finally saw the light, James." - Says the shadow approaching
"What do you want, I have money, women, mansions... Whatever you want, I can give it to you if you let me live" - Mr. Big
"Hehehe.. You think I care about that? I don't want nothing from a piece of trash like you" - Says the shadow as he approaches the light, with the appearence of Ryo Sakazaki being revealed now sporting large fangs and red pupils with a terrific smile
*Splash* - Ryo punches Mr. Big through his head with his face being covered in blood as he leaves the body fall to the ground.
Staring at the corpses of Mr. Big and his men, Ryo comtemplates the scene
"A little much wasn't it, Ryo?" - Ask a strange voice coming from the darkness of the place
"Master! I didn't know you were here." - Ryo kneels on the ground
"Stop, we're not doing all that." - Says the voice
"I'm here because we have a problem." - Says the voice
"Whatever is it, I'll deal with it. Trust me, master." - Says Ryo getting up
"You say that, but this problem was brought up because you failed to deal with the last one, remember? You were supposed to be my eyes and ears on South Town and you failed me enough by letting Geese escape!" - Says the voice
"Geese Howard, he is missing currently and I don't know how, but one of his men managed to get the information regarding about our kind to the commander of the Ikari Warriors... Heidern." - Says the voice
"But that's impossible, how did that bastard managed to send this information to him? I don't think he could had send this to Heidern." - Ryo
"And I don't care about what you believe, Heidern and his group could be a problem for our plan! He sended three of his men to South Town." - Says the voice
"Now listen carefully, once everything is set, I want you to distract them. Make them chase anyone but us. We need the everyone to be suspicious but not of us, they need to believe someone else is the one behind this, someone who doesn't have a good public image... And I think I know who." - Says the voice
"Kusanagi must be in this town, of that I'm sure. After our last encounter, there's no way I'll let him mock me again." - Iori Yagami sees the trafic on the streets of South Town from the top of a building as he thinks of the only reason why he came to this place, to finally have his revenge.
"The tournament is about to start up tomorrow. But I can't get my mind out of that poor woman who was found with all her blood drained." - Thinks Terry Bogard sitting on his bed preparing to sleep for the next tournament.
"I know south town is not he best city in the world, but this couldn't have been done by any damn criminal... I'm sure of it." - Thinks Terry still being disturbed
"Any news regarding Geese's men?" - Says Heidern with a letter on his hand to one of his men.
"He refuses to elaborate on Geese's current whereabouts apart of the information on the message." - Says the man
Heidern approaches the interrogation room with him seeing Billy Kane having a argument with the two mercenaries interrogating him from the crystal as he reads the letter giving by him
