Why do I feel so funny, I had a weird dream involving school, time to wake up…

It was just a typical morning in Toronto and in the Lee household, five year old Kiri Lee was beginning to stir and feelijg nervous as today was her first day of school ever something she hadn't been looking forward to all summer because she'd loved hanging out with her mom, dad and big panda sis, Mei who'd given her panda-back rides only now it was Fall so Mei had started college which meant she could only see Mei at weekends or the holidays which made her frown, stretching going to pee only she noticed something about herself making her excited, she was covered in soft red fur, had a striped tail, little whiskers making her jump up and down, her paws making the bathroom floor thud.

"Mommy, Baba come see what happened to me." Kiri giggled, as Ming smirked entering seeing her lil girl had turned into a red-panda cub only she was happy than scared compared to Mei knowing Mei would be surprised when she found out Kiri had gotten the family gift earlier, knowing these things happened only she had to get Kiri calm to turn back into a lil girl.

"I love you being a cub but your teacher might not appreciate a red-panda cub in her class, let's take soke deep breaths." Ming said seeing Kirindoijg so as she turned back ijto a girl with beauitful red hair commenting on it making her smile following her downstairs to the kitchen seeing Jing smirk seeing Kiri's red hair, knowing like Mei, she'd be okay and find her way as they were eating breakfast, Kiri trying to sat nicely so she wouldn't mess up her outfit for her first day, wearing a pink shirt with red shorts plus Ming had tied up her red hair into a braid, knowing that would be cute packing Kiri's lunchbag hoping today would go well getting messages from Mei.

"Your sister says good luck for today, sweetie." Ming told her.

"I wanna tell her I got my panda this morning." Kiri saud.

"You can tell or show her at the weekend." Jing said.

"Okay then, but she'll be surprised." Kiri replied.

She then put her dishes in the sink, grabbing her backpack putting it on her taking her mom's hand as they were leaving to go to school but she smirked turning ijto her panda-form as her mom took a photo Of her on her first day making both her parents chuckle as Kirinbreathed deeply, changing back into her girl self, giggling as she got in the car putting on her seatbelt hearing her mom ask, if she was nervous about starting school

"Sort of but my panda is helping, you know." she said lookijg out the window as they left taking in the landmarks from home on the way to school arriving in the school parking-lot on time, seeing other mothers gulp seeing Ming.

"It's her, Ming Lee, Mei Panda Girl Lee's mom." a mom whispered to another mom unaware Ming had heard frowning which Kiri noticed asking if she was alright hearing her mom sigh telling hervshe was fine, other adults were just beijg silly despite a woman mentioning her big sister arriving at the kijdergarten room seeing lots of kids running arouhd making Kiri's heart anxious as her tail popped out which made her mom grin.

"Ohhh it'll be okay lil cub, once you make a friend, it'll be okay, let's go." she said opening the door seeing the teacher there bending down to Kiri's level seeing Kiri going with her after Ming had hugged her goodbye knowing today would be emotional meaning a full panda-up would happen and the teacher would freak, call her to pick Kiri up taking deep-breaths driving to Tim Horton's to get a coffee in case that did happen.

No way, Kiri got her panda early and this morning, maybSun Yee bless us and guide us, was she okay when you dropped her off at kimdergarten.

"She was more excited about getting her panda than about starting school, so maybe you can help her when you visit this weekend." Ming replied talking to Mei on the phone because she was also worrying about her big-cub at college for the first time despite promising not to freak out so much knowing some of what the other parents had said upset her, wishing she had her panda, then she'd show them.

That's cool and yeah, I love hanging out with Kir but everything's okay.

Ming realised she was right as Mei hung up, sipping coffee, biting into a donut and had bought Timbits for the house knowing how Jing, Kiri and Mei loved them knowing it was just kindergarten not middle-school plus it was a half day so would be picking Kiri up soon lookijg forward to Mei coming home for the weekend.
