Olivia plopped onto the couch next to Casey, setting the pregnancy test on a napkin on the coffee table. The redhead had brought tests over to Liv's apartment after she had caught her retching in the bathroom at the precinct. After all these years, Casey had never seen Olivia vomit, no matter how gruesome some cases had been.

"Now we wait," Olivia remarked as she stared at the pink and white plastic stick in front of them. The moments felt like days. She had only slept with Stabler once in a moment of drunken weakness. They had both wanted it, but neither would have admitted it, at least not sober. And Casey was the only person who knew, and even that had been an accident. She had arrived at Liv's apartment for dinner the next day and had found Stabler's ID on the kitchen counter. It did not take much to put two and two together. The timer on Liv's phone went off.

"Are you going to look at it or should I?" Casey asked when Olivia didn't reach for the pregnancy test.

"I've got it," Liv replied reaching for the stick. She flipped it over to reveal two pink lines. Fuck. That was all that went through Liv's mind. By the silence and look on her friend's face, Novak knew the result.

"Oh. My. God." she said stunned. Badass Olivia Benson was knocked-up. And it was Stabler's. "What are you going to do Liv?" Olivia's hands fell to her lap. She always wanted to be a mother, but this was not how she had dreamed of it happening. "Liv?"

"Yeah," she replied finally looking at her friend. "I- I don't know."

"You've got to tell him."

"I know. I know. I just need to process this first." How was she going to tell Stabler? She loved him and she wanted this baby, but was he stable enough to handle this news? What would he think of her when he found out?

"How late are you?"

"I don't know, probably about 5 weeks. I don't bother keeping track."

"So you're what, about 7 weeks along?" 7 weeks. That had been how long they had been working this case. She hadn't even stopped to realize that she had not gotten her period. Just then her phone rang.

"Benson."

"Liv. I need you down at the precinct. We've got a new lead on the case" Captain Cragen order.

"I'll be right there," she said hanging up the phone. "I've got to go Case."

"I know. I better get going too. But don't do anything without talking to me first. I'll come over this evening after work and we can talk."

The two got up and headed for the door, Casey grabbing her brief case and Olivia holstering her standard issue .40 caliber Smith and Wesson.

The team huddled around the white board as Cragen went over the update. Liv tried her best to pay attention, hoping to forget the events of the morning. But all she could think about were those two pink lines. She was so distracted that she hadn't noticed the team separate.

"Liv?" Cragen asked concerned.

"Yeah. I'm good. I'm sorry about that. I didn't sleep well last night," she quickly responded, hoping to not draw any more attention to herself.

"Well grab yourself a cup of coffee and get on it". Liv jogged to catch up with Elliot.

"What was going on in there?" he asked when his partner caught up to him.

"It was nothing. I'm just tired."

"Liv, I've known you for years. I know when you're tired and you're not. Something's on your mind."

"It's nothing El. Seriously. I've just got a lot on plate right now." He gave her a smug look. It was going to take a lot more to convince him otherwise. "Look. I'm handling it."

"Well I'm here if you need anything." The elevator chimed as the doors opened and the two stepped in.
