"Where…where am I," Akko said. She found herself in a dark, misty forest. The trees were twisted and gnarled, with a little bit of light coming from the canopy of the trees. She examined her area, seeing how desolate it is.
"Lost, you are?" an old and familiar voice asked.
Akko turned around and saw a small green-looking goblin looking back at her. "Oh my god, aren't you Master Yoda?"
"Know me you do. Strange you are, never see this much of the force flowing through someone before," Yoda said, as he felt the force flowing through Akko.
"You see Master Yoda, neither my friends nor I belong here. We are from a world quite different from this one," Akko explained.
"Telling the truth, you are, sense your friends' battles I do," the grandmaster said.
"Battles?" Akko asked.
"Yes, two worlds they are in. Ours and yours. Like a piece of rope. they are, being pulled on each side," Yoda explained.
"Can you tell me how to prevent them from changing?" Akko asked.
"Tell you, I can't. Figure it out you must as the battle is not an external one. It is a battle in here," Yoda explained, jabbing Akko's chest with his walking stick. "Look at yourself you must, determine who you really are."
Akko thought about what the little grandmaster had said. He is right, the struggle between worlds is an internal one. Somehow, Hannah and Barbara were able to find themselves again. However, this internal battle will be a difficult one for sure. Diana and her still have to face their battles, but as the days pass, it is getting harder for them to know who they really are.
The grandmaster was about to leave when Akko called out to him. "Master Yoda, will my friends and I ever go home?" Akko asked.
Yoda closed his eyes and pondered for a moment. "Mmh, tell I cannot, but hopeless you must not be. You have good friends, your world and here. Look for the sign, you must. Give you the answer it will," Yoda said.
"How would I know what the sign will look like?" Akko asked.
"Familiar it will be, coming from a place you will know. Go back to your friends you must and allow the force to flow through you girls. For the force is your ally and a powerful ally it is," Yoda said fog surrounded the area. The fog swallowed Yoda as the little Jedi walked away from Akko.
Akko woke up in a cold dimly lit icy room. She scanned the area to see that Hannah and Barbara were still sleeping. She then looked next to her and saw her girlfriend in a deep sleep. Akko took the angelic beauty that Diana held as she was asleep. Getting out of the cot, the young witch put on her boots and heavy coat. She then buckled her gun holsters and put her pistols into them. The pistols were a gift from Han as he gave each of the girls their own blaster pistol.
Akko got the DL-44 pistol, with the IB-94 as the backup gun. Diana fancied the DL-18 pistol, with its size and controllability. She also has the ELG-3A blaster pistol as a backup in her boots. Hannah decided it will be good to dual-wield pistols as she chose two X-8 pistols that were modified for her to use. Barbara decided for her that learning how to the DE-10 blaster pistol and a knife would provide the deadlier outcome she is hoping for.
Akko exited the room she was sharing with her friends into the freezing halls of Echo Base. It has been months since the Empire started hunting the rebels down. Especially if one of the rebels was none other than Luke Skywalker, who with the help of Akko and Han, destroyed the Death Star. Because of the constant hunt and the moving from planet to planet, the girls did not really have a proper rest. As soon as Leia and the other generals found Hoth and set a base here, the girls took as much rest as they can get.
It was either rest or training with their pistols, as the girls could not really do anything on the base. The witches do know how to fire a blaster as they could have defended themselves during the Princess's rescue but firing the blasters accurately was a different argument. As Akko made her way to the command center, she saw Han and Leia arguing at each other.
"And what precisely am I supposed to know?" Akko heard Leia ask.
"Come on! You want me to stay because of the way you feel about me," Han replied.
"Excuse me," Akko interrupted.
"Just one moment!" both Leia and Han shouted at Akko.
"You are a great help to us, Han. You a great leader," Leia continued.
"No! That's not it, come on. Aahhh, come on," Han urged.
Both Leia and Akko stared at him, with Akko confused as Leia laughed at him. "You're imagining things," she said.
"Am I? Then why are you following me? Afraid I was going to leave without giving you a goodbye kiss?" Han asked.
"I rather get a kiss from a Wookie," Leia replied.
"I can arrange that, you could use a good kiss," Han angrily said as he strides down the corridor. Leia and Akko were staring after him, with Akko confused at what just happened.
"Umm, Leia, what just happened between you two?" Akko asked.
"Han is leaving us again. That selfish pirate, he was a really good leader," Leia said as she calmed down.
"Yeah, if it wasn't for him, we surely would have lost Lothal again," Akko said, "But don't give up hope just yet. He might come back to us again after he sorts out his situation with Jabba."
"I don't think so," Leia said, "Anyways, you wanted to ask me something?"
"Yeah, have there been any activity in the system?" Akko asked.
"Not as of recent thank the force. Though I won't put it under the Empire to stop their search for us," Leia said, "By any chance, have you seen Luke?"
"Not before he and Han went out on patrol, why?" Akko asked.
"Just asking," Leia answered.
Diana woke up to see that Akko was gone and Hannah and Barbara were already up. Stretching her arms, the young blonde girl was thinking over the dream she just had. The dream was very lucid and real. Though the interesting part was the thing she met. It was a little green guy, he look almost like a goblin back home. But the way he spoke, was quite interesting. It is as if he saw the entire galaxy but yet is in one place. The strange little man was very wise as Diana can sense it, so she sat down and listen to what he said. But the sentences he said were more confusing than it was helpful. Diana will have to talk to Akko about this man seeing if she knows who he is.
"Hey guys, guess who brought breakfast?" Akko said as she barged in the room with some MREs.
"Thanks, Akko," Hannah said as Akko threw her a pack.
"So anything interesting happening right now?" Barbara asked.
"Well, apparently Luke did not make it back from patrol, and now Han is out in the dark storm finding Luke," Akko replied, "Also Han is planning to leave us again."
"Wait, what," the girls said in surprise.
"Yeah, apparently Han and Chewie ran into a bounty hunter on Ord Mantell. Han doesn't want to endanger the princess anymore than he has to it sounds like," Akko answered.
"Yeah, we understand, but like paying the bounty on his head doesn't sound like a good idea. Especially if the bounty is coming from a renowned gangster," Hannah says.
"I agree, but it seems like that Han made up his mind about this. Although, it looks like Chewie is sabotaging the ship in order for them to stay a bit longer," Akko said, "But Han does not notice it."
"You mentioned that Luke is out in the evening blizzard, any updates that he returned?" Diana asked, taking a bite out of what seemed to be a biscuit of some kind.
"Unfortunately, no. I heard from one of the officers that Luke went and looked at an asteroid, but he did not report back to base," Akko said, "However, last I heard, Han went out looking for him in the blizzard."
"I do hope they are safe out there," Barbara said.
"You and me both, Barbara, you and me both," Akko said, taking a sip of her coffee.
The group was enjoying their food, eating in silence. The girls were thinking a bit, with Diana, Hannah, and Barbara curious about who that little green man is. The little green man seemed a bit weird to Hannah and Barbara, but at the same time, they sense some kind of calming aura near him. Although the little green man talked funny and confusing, the young witches felt that they were able to express their issues and pain towards this strange creature, and the creature can help them through it. He even sensed that they do not belong there as Obi-Wan did.
"Hey Akko, can I ask you a question?" Diana asked,
"Yeah, what is it, D?" Akko asked.
"Well, I had this dream about this strange little green man. I was wondering if any of you girls had the same dream as me?" Diana asked.
"I did," Hannah said.
"I did too," Barbara replied.
"You guys talked to Yoda?" Akko asked curiously.
"Who?" Diana, Hannah, and Barbara asked altogether.
"Yoda, he was the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order before Order 66 and the downfall of the Republic. He was the one who taught Ben Kenobi and Luke's father," Akko explained, "It seems that he is trying to communicate to us by our dreams. I am actually quite curious about what he told you guys."
"He just examined me, saying how it was strange that I am very vibrant in the force. I like do not even understand what he was saying. He was a very strange man I will say," Hannah answered.
"Yoda is known for talking in riddles and backward. He may be weird and speak in a confusing matter, but he can help us with our current problem," Akko said.
"But there is going to be the issue of locating him," Diana said.
"Well, if I am remembering this episode of the trilogy, Yoda is currently residing in Dagobah," Akko recalled.
"Ok, at least we have the planet name, now we only have to find a ship," Diana said thinking through the options.
"Well, Luke is supposed to go to the Dagobah system in the later part of the film," Akko answered that.
"But isn't he missing still along with Han?" Hannah asked.
"He is, we just have to wait until morning when Rogue Squadron finds them," Akko says. She got up and threw away her ration in a basket that was in the corner of the room. "Well, what do you girls want to do in the meantime?"
"I do believe that we should improve on our combat skills," Diana offered.
"I agree, we should at least head to the shooting range to practice using the blasters, I am still feeling uncomfortable with using it," Hannah continued.
"That's a good idea, let's start heading there now while we are full of energy," Akko said as made her way through the door.
The shooting range was loud as the rebel soldiers were firing their blasters at the targets. The young witches were unholstering their weapons and cleaning their weapons. As they were setting up, a young woman with dark brown hair walked up towards them with a tired look on her face.
"Hey General Kagari, General Cavendish, you girls are practicing your aim?" the woman asked.
"Hey Lily, yeah, we are. We cannot really do anything until Luke and Han comes back," Akko replied, as she looked down at her IB-44 pistol.
"If they do come back. I do have a very bad feeling about it though. I just don't like either of them out in the thick blizzard with those creatures out there," Lily said, as she was taking a deep breath.
"Have some faith would you, they will be found," Akko said, as she lightly tapped Lily's face in a welcoming manner.
"Well, I am not the one who should hear that," Lily said.
"Yeah, I just figured that Leia would need some space after the argument," Akko said, getting to what Lily was trying to say.
"By any chance, I do want to ask you something, Akko. I heard from Wedge that during the Battle of the Death Star, you transform into a dragon. Is that true?" Lily asked.
"True as a krayt dragon," Akko answered.
"But how, how is that even possible?" Lily asked.
"A magician would never reveal their secrets," Akko said, pointing at her nose.
"Uh," Lily asked confused.
"An old saying from the planet we are from. It means we can't explain how it happened," Akko explained.
"I see. Well, I do not want to keep you girls from your practices, see you generals later," Lily said as she left.
"See ya Lily, and you do not really need to call us general. It just feels weird," Akko said.
"Well, it fits you, girls, especially after the First Battle of Sullest. If it wasn't for General Cavendish's plan of attack and your courage and leadership, we would've lost the battle with many losses on our side," Lily said surprised, "Anyways, see you, girls, later."
"See ya," the girls said.
