Chapter 1: Illusion.

Childhood dreams were rarely talked about. When you are so young as not to know how to recognize love, it is normal for those feelings to be confused and often seem impossible.
Over time people grow and thinking matures, it is natural that one forgets what he lived at an early age, as when the student falls in love with the teacher and stays in that nothing more. Later when you look back and realize how much time has passed you remember who you were and smile wistfully. Something similar happened to a certain girl or rather girl.
She was in the academy, she was seven years old, her classmates paid little attention to her and she identified herself as the mute of the room, the one who did not speak and got good grades; that was Hinata Hyuga. A rather withdrawn girl who had lost her mother and her father had become a little rougher with her "They are lessons that life gives us" always told her and should smile because her younger sister was too young to even have a conscience, she wanted her sister to think all her life that her mother had gone on vacation to heaven or at least until she was old enough. to assimilate that he had died and that he could only see her through memories. That girl struggled day and night to smile, even if she was still grieving her loss with no one to cuddle her or give her encouragement.
She refused to surrender to life and for her young age she had enough initiative, although few believed it, she could be so shy that no one noticed her or so extroverted as to become the center of attention, however, for now she was only dedicated to making her little sister laugh and manage to pass the next year.
Every day was the same for her, without novelty or something else to think about, however on that occasion something very different happened, she had a classmate named Sasuke who in most of the time her mother picked up after the bell but that time it was not like that, instead of seeing that sweet and beautiful woman there was a child clearly older than her, that he had his hair in a long middle and held it with a ponytail, his eyes were black very similar to those of his companion -Come on Sasuke mother waits for us.
"Yes, Itachi nii san," he said, and they walked until he lost sight of them.
"Itachi," whispered the little girl blushing at the image of that child.
That was the first time Hinata Hyuga saw Uchiha Itachi, the boy she started thinking about all the time.
She was a child and was excited by the newly experienced feeling, on every page of her notebook she began to write her name and fantasized about the idea of going out for a juice or sharing some candy with him.
One day he wrote her a letter, which she kept in a red heart-shaped envelope that she had made herself with the intention of giving it to her one day. A month had passed since that day she met him and since then she was waiting to see if she would see him again, but nothing always reappeared the woman.
Months passed and the boy never showed up. The girl was never discouraged and waited patiently until the last day of the course before the holidays when she saw him again. By then Itachi's hair had grown and the girl had entire notebooks full of doodles and hearts with their names on them.
Hinata hesitated a little since at that time there were his parents and another more adult child they called Shisui, but if he did not give it to him that day he would never give it to him and maybe it could take centuries to see him again. So mortified she plucked up courage and walked to where the Uchiha family was. Fugaku immediately noticed how she approached them - Are you lost? - ask her when he saw her stop in front of Itachi but she did not answer.
"It's Hinata Hyuga, father," little Sasuke spoke, "they always come for her, she's not lost, that's how she's... rare.
"I see," replied the man, "you'd better go back to the entrance, your father must be waiting for you," he said, but she didn't answer.
Itachi on the other hand saw how she continued to take tiny steps and got closer and closer to him - Are you okay? - ask him confused because at all time the girl remained crouched as if her stomach was hurting. He didn't answer either. Itachi bent down and turned his head a little to see his face -For you Itachi kun- he said extending his arms hitting Itachi's face on the spot, the head of the Uchiha whipped back at the unexpected action, Hinata embarrassed dropped the envelope and ran away as fast as she could, Mikoto, Fugaku and Sasuke saw her bewildered while Itachi covered her nose trying to stop the bleeding from her nose, Shisui on the other hand bent down to take the heart envelope that in a crude and trembling calligraphy read "From Hinata to Itachi".
"I think you have an admirer," he said, extending the letter. Fugaku and Mikoto saw each other and smiled, it was the most tender thing they had ever seen, she was still too young to understand the things of love, but there was nothing wrong with a childish illusion. Itachi took the letter - What? - asked - I do not intend to read it in front of all of you - he said and then saw Sasuke make a grimace of disgust and put it in his pants pocket.
At night when everyone was about to sleep, Itachi took off his clothes and when he did he saw how a red paper fell to the floor and got under the bed, bent down to pick it up and realized that it was that girl's letter. He scratched his head a little confused and when he opened it he read "Itachi kun and Hinata" inside a heart, then a drawing of the two holding hands, both with a big smile, in the background the sun and standing on green grass next to her a little brown dog.
P.S; Itachi kun... I love you ... Do you want to be my boyfriend?, Could you answer me since we return to school again?
Itachi smiled, it was perhaps one of the sweetest cards anyone had ever written him. He understood that it was a passing love, that he would soon forget about it, but he did not know whether to answer. He kept the letter in one of his drawers and climbed into bed hoping to have things clearer in the coming days.
