Alchemists And Pro Heroes

Hello, and welcome to a new experimental Boku no Hero Academia fic, and here I will be doing another experiment to see if this would attract readers as this fic will incorporate a mixture of action, adventure and rather OUTRAGEOUS themes. Nostalgia played a factor that led me to come up with this fic mainly due to a soundtrack that I stored on my smartphone.

Yup, this fic is a crossover between My Hero Academia and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, in which I happened to watch the 2003 anime and the 2009 COMPLETE version, both animated by Bones.

After re-watching Brotherhood on my smartphone, I couldn't help but see some similarities between FMA and MHA, due to some select individuals possessing some GIFTS (Alchemy and Quirks), as well as this fic came about after reading the synopsis of the 2004 FMA film Conqueror Of Shamballa. There I decided to try this experiment to see if this would attract readers and fans alike.

Because this fic is set in the modern world and in the Hero Academia universe, I'll be altering the settings a bit, but will make full use of the elements to fit in with the Hero Academia settings.

Well then, read on and enjoy!

Ch. 1: prologue

The scene shifts at Central Headquarters, where a huge battle took place as Briggs soldiers join the rebels in fighting off the Central Forces who are allied with King Bradley and Father, after they managed to reverse the effects of Father's plan to turns every people in Amestris into INGREDIENTS to power the Philosopher's Stone within Father's body.

With his plans thwarted, Father blasts his way out of the underground and made his way towards the surface ground which is outside and within Central Headquarters, which the rebelling forces followed. In the ensuing battle Father did as devastating attack which damage a portion of Central Headquarters.

As the dust clears on the surface, revealing massive damage, Mei Chang stirs to find that Alphonse Elric's body - positioned to shield her from Father's attack - has been absolutely rent by the blast. Edward Elric, too, wakes from his daze to find that his automail arm, though badly damaged, still functions; finding Izumi Curtis lying beside him, he rushes to her aid, but she remarks that she is only alive because Van Hohenheim shielded her with his body at the last moment.

"Huh?"

"Yeah…he shielded me…"

"The old guy…he did…that…?"

"Yes…"

"…"

"…"

"Where…where is he…?"

"…"

Ed looks at the scorched body of his father, kneeling heroically before them and calls out to him, but as Van opens his eyes, Father appears behind him and bats the old man aside. Deciding on Izumi and Edward as his first targets, Father attempts to draw out their souls into a Philosopher's Stone, but is interrupted when Briggs soldiers - pouring out from Central Command - open fire on him with rifles, rockets and machine guns, giving the alchemists time to get to safety.

Father merely shrugs these attacks off, shielding himself with an impenetrable barrier of alchemical energy, but the soldiers are ordered to stand clear as a deluge of flame washes over their inhuman foe; though Father is unharmed by the attack, Colonel Roy Mustang, Major Alex Louis Armstrong and Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye have appeared on the scene. Hawkeye informs the blind Flame Alchemist that his aim was off and gives him targeting directions for his next massive salvo.

"Colonel…here are the coordinates…"

"…okay…"

"Good…your locked on…"

"Hmm…"

"Sir…?"

"Would this work…? I'm not yet used to this CLAPPING thing that Edward do…"

"It's better than nothing…go for it…"

"Fine…here goes…"

As he claps his hands together to compensate for the damage done to his Flame Alchemy gloves, Roy remarks that he hasn't yet gotten the hang of circle-free transmutation, but as he rapidly transmutes a wall to defend against Father's counterattack, he claims to see its usefulness. The ceaseless volley continues from all sides, with Major Armstrong, Ran Fan, Zampano and Darius contributing as well in an attempt to exhaust the Homunculus' energy supply.

From a nearby landing, Greed watches in awe and declares that such godlike power would surely allow him to take over the world, but Ling Yao remarks from inside his heart that the endless thirst that the avaricious Homunculus feels is not for power, but for something else. Greed ignores Ling's counsel and rushes toward the fray.

"Heh!"

"Greed!"

"Got work to do!"

"Hold on!"

"Heh-heh…"

"Calm down, Greed!"

"I'm going to get that Philosopher's Stone!"

"Greed!"

Unfortunately, even with everyone working together, Father remains unharmed and declares that the humans are incapable of penetrating his defenses. Suddenly, Greed bursts from the cloud of dust and gun smoke and delivers a punch right to his father's face, exclaiming that a Homunculus might succeed where humans have failed, but as Father takes hold of Greed's hand, he thanks his son for delivering a complete Philosopher's Stone to him when he needed it most and begins draining Philosopher's Stone energy from his body.

However, Greed counters that he knew Father would drop his guard in order to absorb a Stone and explains that his own plan is to drain god energy instead. Greed begins draining energy from his father's body, but the Homunculus leader's pull is too strong and he reverses the flow. Seeing their comrade in danger, Edward, Alex and Izumi rush to Greed's aid, throwing a volley of physical attacks. Overwhelmed by the multiple onslaught, Father pushes them all back with a wave of energy, shattering Edward's automail arm in the process, but the alchemists remain unfazed and commence a second wave. But when Father blocks a kick from Edward with his arm instead of energy, Hohenheim realizes that the Homunculus is at his breaking point and can barely keep God contained within his body.

"Everyone! Father has reached his limit! His Philosopher's Stone is about to run out!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Now is your chance! Don't give him room to counterattack!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

"Okay!"

Bulging and writing in agony as God's eye rises from his gullet and into his mouth, threatening to escape, Father topples to the ground and releases a huge burst of energy which throws everyone from his body.

Just managing to keep God within his form, Father searches desperately for a soul to make into a Philosopher's Stone and spies the nearby Edward sprawled on a pile of broken concrete. Edward, seeing the danger as Father approaches him, attempts to scurry to safety, but finds that his left arm has been impaled on some twisted rebar jutting out of the rubble, pinning him to the spot. Alphonse, tries frantically to drag himself over to Edward, but his body is far too damaged to move and, in addition, the cracks in his armor have come dangerously close to his Blood Rune, putting his very soul in jeopardy if he makes any drastic movements.

Seeing that Edward is in grave danger, Greed attacks Father from behind and delivered a strong kick that sent Father careening away from Edward, and there Greed began to do a run-and-hit assault so as to prevent Father from grabbing him, and this allowed some Briggs soldiers to come closer and used some tools to remove the twisted rebar from Edward's left arm. As soon as Edward is freed, they escorted him away and there Hohenheim approached his eldest son, where it is revealed that most of his Philosopher's Stone inside his body has been nearly depleted, and has a few ones left, and he uses it to repair Edward's right automail arm, and thus the younger State Alchemist can resume the battle.

"Whoa…"

"You okay now, Edward?"

"Yeah…"

"Okay. Go get him. Leave your brother to me."

"…thanks…"

"Its fine. Go."

"…"

"…"

As Edward joins Greed and clobbers him with his fists, Father wonders in disbelief how someone who has acquired the power of God can be beaten by a human alchemist using his bare hand. Another stunning blow from Edward knocks the Homunculus down for the count, but when the god energy makes another attempt to escape, Father sucks it up, rises to his feet and lunges desperately for Greed's Philosopher's Stone.

"You!"

"Huh?"

"Give it to me!"

"Eh?"

"Give me your Philosopher's Stone!"

"Damn it!"

"Now!"

"Get away from me!"

As he plunges his arm inside his son's stomach and begins draining his Stone away, Ling's consciousness grabs hold of Greed inside their shared body, refusing to let him go, but as Greed states, Father's pull is stronger and any continued struggle will only result in Ling's soul being pulled into Father as well.

When Ling asserts that he needs Greed's power in order to become Emperor of Xing, Greed claims to accept partnering with the prince for the throne, but knocks him away at the last second, resigning himself to his father's summons. As the avaricious Homunculus declares that this was the only lie he has ever told, he informs Ling that he can still become emperor, as Ran Fan holds the Philosopher's Stone that she took from Wrath's pocket.

"Ran Fan has the other Philosopher's Stone. You can still be emperor…"

"But…"

"Do not fret. I'm doing this for you…"

"Wait…Greed...!"

"It was good while it lasted…"

"No! Greed!"

"Bye, kid…"

"Greed!"

Drawing out his son's Stone, Father's arm turns slowly gray as he absorbs Greed's carbon armor ability, but with his last moments in the prince's body, Greed summons Ran Fan to his side and she slices off Father's arm with a simple swipe of her kunai. Ling collapses to the ground, the sole soul inside his own flesh as the Ouroboros on his hand fades away, while Father howls piteously at his own son's treachery.

Though his entire body slowly morphs to carbon via Greed's power, the avaricious Homunculus explains from inside that he has used his armor ability to transform Father's anatomy to one comprised of the weakest, most fragile form of carbon imaginable. Father's entire being begins to crumble under its own weight, but as a last ditch effort, he physically rips Greed's soul from his body and casts it aside, where it turns to dust in the open air.

The Briggs soldiers and Edward stared in horror and sadness seeing Greed slowly starting to fade away.

"Greed!"

"Greed!"

"Greed!"

"Greed!"

"Greed!"

"Greed!"

"Greed!"

"Greed!"

Staring down at the others as he fades away, Greed remembers Edward's camaraderie and Ling's assertion that friends are connected by an unbreakable bond that exists within their souls; he bids a fond farewell to his soul's dearest friends and departs from the mortal coil. During this time, Hohenheim uses some of his remaining Philosopher's Stone to repair Alphonse's damaged armored body, and now he is REPAIRED and ready to use alchemy to assist his brother.

There Alphonse went behind Father and trapped him in a Full Nelson hold, holding him tightly which Father was taken by surprise as he is now vulnerable to an open attack, and frantically struggles to break free from Alphonse's hold. There Alphonse tells Edward to use this chance to land the decisive blow to defeat Father once and for all.

"Brother!"

"Alphonse!"

"Hurry!"

"Eh…?"

"Now is your chance!"

"…"

"Do it!"

"Okay!"

Taking his chance, Edward rushes up and punches a large hole through the fragile Father's crumbling abdomen and, through this hole, all the remaining Xerxesian souls pour out and rise into the sky. With his Philosopher's Stone entirely depleted, Father trembles and the black, shadowy hands of the Gate reach out from the hole in his body to take hold of his head and limbs, pulling them inside.

However, something unexpected happened as another pair of shadowy hands came out and grabbed the Elric brothers and pulled them inside and the two disappeared inside the void along with the remains of Father.

Though the threat has ended and Amesteris is finally saved, with the culprits captured and arrested, the rebel forces are at loss as they have no idea what happened to the Elric brothers, and have no idea what fate has befallen the two youngsters.

The scene shows that Edward and Alphonse are alive, and in one piece, which they appeared to be unharmed, as Edward's automail arm and leg are intact, as is Alphonse's armor. As both sat up, they noticed that they are not in Central Headquarters, as they saw that they appeared to be in a park, filled with trees and birds.

Edward was baffled as everyone, from the Briggs soldiers to Hohenheim to Mustang are not here, and this made Alphonse feel worried, though Edward assured to his younger brother that things appeared to be okay.

"Its fine, Alphonse. It's fine."

"Uh…are you sure…?"

"Yeah. Don't worry. I'm sure we can figure this out."

"Um…so what should we do now…?"

"Well…maybe…"

"Huh?"

"Huh?"

However, their musings were interrupted when a helicopter passed above them, then an airplane flew above them as well, which Edward blinked his eyes as he never seen such vehicles before, and the Elric brothers appeared to be baffled by what they just saw.

As they walked around, the Elric brothers are baffled and in shock as they went towards the streets where something unfamiliar to them appeared, as more vehicles passed by, ranging from the following:

- taxi

- bus

- hovercrafts

- motorcycles

The Elric brothers are even more baffled upon seeing more structures that they never seen in their lives, which they saw the following unfamiliar establishments, which are:

- malls

- restaurants

- snack bars

- vehicle repair shops

Edward and Alphonse were twitching their eyes at seeing this, but what also caught the brothers' attention is that a group of pro heroes appeared and just foiled a bank robbery, and the pro heroes in question were revealed to be the Hawks Hero Agency, whose members consists of the following:

- Hawks

- Fumikage Tokoyami aka Tsukuyomi

As Edward and Alphonse stared in disbelief at what they are seeing, the public were cheering at the pro heroes who captured the bank robbers, and as Hawks waved at the crowd while Tokoyami just nodded, Alphonse wondered if Hawks and Tokoyami are state alchemists, not knowing that they are not alchemists but pro heroes who possess Quirks.

Once Hawks and Tokoyami left after handing the robbers to the police, the Elric brothers are baffled at seeing the public wearing civilian clothes that are different from the ones that the people of Amestris, and this made Edward wondered what is going on and what kind of place they ended up in.

As the Elric brothers began to walk the streets, they unknowingly passed by the front door area of the Pussycats Agency, which houses the pro hero group The Wild Wild Pussycats, consisting of the following pro heroes:

- Mandalay

- Pixie Bob

- Ragdoll

- Tiger

As the Elric brothers walked away, Ragdoll and Pixie Bob blinked their eyes as they noticed Alphonse, finding it strange that someone is walking around wearing a suit of armor, and there they told Mandalay about it, though the Wild Wild Pussycat leader said that she finds it nothing wrong if the two aren't causing trouble.

"Were the two subjects are harassing people…?"

"No…"

"No…"

"Did they committed forms of vandalism or provoking the police…?"

"Uh…no…"

"No…"

"Then it's fine. No need to fret if those two are doing something that disrupt the peace and order…"

"…fine…"

"…fine…"

To Be Continued...

Hope you liked this opening chapter, and while there's not much action other than re-telling the events of episodes 61 to 63 of the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood anime, the ending diverges na bit, where the Elric brothers MYSTERIOUSLY ended up in the world of My Hero Academia…which somewhat borrowed the elements from the 2003 anime film Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror Of Shamballa.

As for the My Hero Academia side, so far only Tokoyami of Class 1-A made an appearance alongside Hawks and the Wild Wild Pussycats, who somewhat noticed the Elric brothers but in the end chose to ignore them after seeing that the brothers are not doing anything disruptive to the peace and order…

Preview:

The Elric brothers began observing the area around them, not knowing what place they are at…but Edward soon gets into another fellow hothead… Katsuki Bakugo! This would jumpstart the conflict between the two…which would cause unwanted mayhem which soon attract Izuku Midoriya's attention…
