Hello, readers! It's been a while since I last posted anything. Truth is, I've been busy with life and whatnot, and I got writers block on the last story I was working on, The Hideaway's Club. So, I'm going to switch it up a bit and write something that doesn't have to do with Fire Emblem.
Chapter 1: A Grand Discovery
"It's a peaceful day here in Halure," Amber wrote in her journal. "The tree is blooming prettier than ever. I think this is a sign that I'll learn the spell I need to attend Aspio Academy." Closing her journal, Amber got up and went to her mirror and examined herself while doing a self-pep talk, "Remember, Amber, it's to the West." Her short brown fell to her shoulders. Her green eyes matched her red and jade dress wore. Looking down at her legs, her white stockings and brown knee-high adventurer boots looked a bit worse for wear. She danced around the room, grabbing different things and tossing them into her backpack. "Let's see⦠I have maps of the ruins, apple and orange gels, some magic lens, and some food and mats." Slinging the bag onto her back, Amber walked to the front door and paused. "This may be the last time I see this place for a while," she said, taking in one last look at her home. Sighing, she opened the door and left.
Amber walked through the city of Halure, saying her farewells to those she knew. As she headed to the city gate, she saw a flyer for Aspio Academy. She brought her hand to the flyer longingly, "I'll be there soon, Zaphais, then Aspio Academy." After a short while, she left the city and headed West towards the ruins of Old Aspio. On the way she tripped over rocks and fell in a few bushes, but she managed to get there unscathed.
When she arrived at the ruins, she gazed in speculation at the debris blocking the entrance. "Only one way to find out if there's something there," she said, stepping through some cracks in the wall. After reaching the other side of the short tunnel, she came to a sign that read, "DANGER, DO NOT ENTER." Amber shrugged at the warning and continued through the ruins. It became dark to the point where she couldn't see anything in front of her face. Amber clasped her hands together and bowed her head. "When one is blinded by darkness, there will be light," she chanted, thrusting her hand into air above her. "Guiding Light!" A small glowing orb appeared above her. Satisfied with her spell, she gave a small giggle and continued forward, to the remains of Aspio's library. "Whoa, this building is huge," she said, entering the abandoned building. "I'll set up here for the night while looking through all of this," she said, as she began taking different things out of her bag. She wrote a quick journal entry, "Found what looks like a library in Old Aspio, going to see if I can find anything here."
I'll post chapter 2 right after one and then post a new chapter each week. Hopefully, I will keep up with this story and won't get writer's block. Also, let me know if you guys like this change of category.
