Preview for Muv Luv Total Eclipse: The Iron Curtain
From the point of view of a soldier, their blurry vision sees a score of TSFs(Tactical Surface Fighters) fighting in a snow-covered battlefield as they fight off scores of BETA(Beings of Extra Terrestrial origin) that destroy a series of TSFs with a combination of brute force and laser fire. The soldier, whom we see the point of view of begins making their way to a nearby forest before being greeted by what appears to be a small handful of Soviet personnel. Making his way to the front of the pack was an elderly gentlemen, the captain of the Soviet forces...Jerzy Sandek.
"The world is changing...and the soldiers fighting right now won't live to see any of it. Sacrifice is needed to create the world we want to see. This isn't just about the BETA...it's also about getting rid of troubling elements who stand in the way of humanity's collective dream for peace...you must understand...though, it would hardly matter if you did." Sandek said as the soldier looked at him while he hinted at his plans...before he then pulled out a gun and shot the soldier. A ringing can be heard as the soldier's vision fades and blood soaks the snow beneath their back.
-A Plan Decades In The Making-
A series of clips plays as a chilling warning to America from decades prior is shown.
"Understand what's going on around you. You are in a state of war...and you have precious little time to save yourself."
The Soviet government formed a secret pact with The United States and China to fight off the BETA invasion.
"The time bomb is ticking. Withh every second, the disaster is coming closer and closer. The danger is real."
The Soviets approved a program to create a duo of engineered TSF pilots to fight off the invading forces. However...
-A War Built By Deception-
The scene cuts to Yuuya, who is now the Governer of Alaska as he angrily demands answers from a visiting US official.
"They're going to use Cryska and Inia to start World War 3?!"
We then cut to Yui, who is seen punching a wall in frustration presumably from a shocking revelation.
"This entire war is a lie!" she screamed, the heartbreak in her cry clear as crystal as tears stream down her face before our point of view switches to that of former Argos Flight test pilot, Stella Bremer.
"Trusting the Soviets was a mistake...and now we, the soldiers, are the ones paying the price for our leaders' idiotic decisions." she said as she spoke to Tarisa Manandal, who was sitting across from her at a table.
"We're the ones who have to live with the consequences! How the hell is that fair?!" Tarisa yelled angrily, slamming her fists on the table in frustration before the scene then cuts to Cryska and Inia's Su-47, which is seen slicing through the BETA like a searing knife cutting it's way through butter. At that moment, a Type-94 Shiranui is seen clashing blades with the Su-47 and the two push and struggle against each other. The scene then cuts to black and then fades to Yuuya, who is seen speaking to who seems to be the new protagonist, whom we see through the eyes off in a first person perspective.
"I'm trusting you with my partner...she'll serve you well, I promise...Maverick" Yuuya said with a smile before handing the protagonist his helmet, which the protagonist takes.
