Chapter 1

Knut (April 2015)

- This is your room. Come, Stormy, you're over here with Aisha. -

While Stella and Stormy walked to the room of Aisha and, now, of the witch, Icy and Darcy entered a room with white and purple furniture.

It was all so strange to Darcy. To be there, in Alfea, aware that they made it, they got through the trial, it was weird. Her body and her mind were still tense, ready for more pain, but it was over. She would attend Alfea for three years and then she would be free. That room was going to be her home for three years.

Icy looked around dazed, as if she didn't fully understand where she was and why. She put down her suitcase, run her hand on the desk and then sat on the bed.

Darcy put her suitcase on the floor, opened it and began unpacking. There wasn't much, but she still had had to expand it with a spell: clothes, shoes, makeup, a couple notebooks where she had noted down her spells through the years. Jackets took so much space.

It didn't take her long to finish. She was about to tell Icy to get started when Bloom peeked in after knocking on the door.

- Sorry if I bother you, but there's someone who'd want to see you in the other room. - she said.

Icy automatically got up without a word, like she had received an order. She hadn't spoken at all since the sentence and Darcy was beginning to worry.

"Who will that be?" she thought, following Icy out of the room.

In the apartment's living room were Tecna and Flora with...

- Knut! -

The ogre turned around to looked at them and waved. He had testified at the trial too. In their favor. Despite the way they had treated him, he helped them.

- I wanted to welcome you to Alfea and-and, well, if the furniture needs fixing, I'm in charge of that. - said Knut, scratching his head.

He was still as clumsy as six years earlier. At least now he had given in to the fact that he needed to wear glasses.

Darcy smiled thankful.

- Thank you, Knut. For everything. You did more than you should have. - she said.

Stormy nodded, although she thought that in the past the ogre had caused more trouble than anything. Icy attempted a half smile.

- Well, after all it's thanks to you that I am here in Alfea. Without you, I'd have never found a job here in Alfea. -

- In a way, maybe yes. - said Stormy, - It was worth it for someone. -

She was thinking of Donnie, Darcy was sure of it. who knew if they'd ever see him again, if they'd ever have the courage.

She was thinking too much. There was going to be time for everything. Now she had to stop thinking about what-ifs and live in the present.
