Chapter 1

Eren's POV:

When I kissed Queen Historia's hand, I suddenly see a vision that was shown to me. I found myself standing in a large field of sand, there is nothing around me except the night sky and stars.

"What the... where am I?" I was confused about the whole place. And in front of me, a girl is walking with a bucket of water in her hand. I ask, "Excuse me... you are?"

The girl looks at me with a frown on her face, she slowly mutters, "Papa..."

"Papa? You mean me?" Once again, I don't know what is going on here, but the girl just looks at me before giving me a nod. When she starts to move again, I rush to her and ask, "May I ask your name?"

The girl slowly mutters, "Ymir..."

Ymir? I know for sure this is not the same Ymir that we knew, the same Jaw Titan who decided to leave with Reiner. I sigh and say, "Okay, Ymir... Can you tell me where exactly are we?"

Ymir looks at me before muttering, "You're in the paths...This is the Coordinate..."

I slowly walk towards the giant tree-like thing, and then suddenly, it shows me some visions about the girl in front of me.

Ymir lived in a peaceful village and she was fetching water from a well. One day, a group of Eldian soldiers arrived, they burned the whole village, and the villagers were either dead or enslaved. Ymir was one of them, and she was forced to be a slave to the king. She looked at the crowd gathering, she saw a man kissing a woman with love, she just stopped there and stared.

Just then, a pig escaped from its pen with the door open, and King Fritz said, "One of you let a pig escape. If nobody fesses up, every one of you loses an eye. Slaves have no need for two."

Everyone was frightened, and just then, all of them were pointing their fingers at Ymir.

"You're the one who let it escape?" King Fritz asked the kneeling Ymir, who turned to the other slaves with fear and sadness in her eyes. Nobody wanted to help her, and then she lowered her head. "Very well. You are "free."

The scene changed with Ymir running in the forest, her eye was torn, and she had an arrow attached to her body. Behind her, Eldians were using bows and arrows while riding on horses, trying to hunt her.

Ymir was hit as she fell to the ground, the Eldians thought she was dead, so they left her alone. But just after they were gone, Ymir slowly got up, her only eye flowing with tears. She noticed a large tree and she slowly walked toward it. Noticing that the Eldians were back, she quickly stepped inside.

Drips of water could be heard, and Ymir slipped and fall into the pool of water in the sinkhole. All hope seemed to get lost, and Ymir accepted her fate as she was about to die. Just then, a spiny creature appeared and attached itself to her. A bolt of lightning happened, and the Eldians were terrified to see Ymir turned into the Titan, and she let out a roar.

Then the scene changed back to the castle. "You've done well, my slave, Ymir." Fritz said. "You've built roads, cultivated the wilds, and bridged mountains. My tribe, Eldia, has grown quite large. As a reward, I shall give you my seed."

Ymir bowed to the king, and the scene changed to the war with Marley. "In the name of Fritz, annihilate the vile people of Marley!"

With Ymir's Titan, Eldia started to invade other nations with war, and eventually, Founder Ymir was pregnant and she had Maria, Rose, and Sina.

When Marleyan officers kneel before Fritz, one of them rises in retaliation and throws his spear at him. Ymir intervenes, letting the spear impale her through the shoulder. She collapses in front of Fritz as her daughters look on in horror. They rushed to her, and in secret, Ymir transferred all of the powers to Maria, Rose, and Sina.

"What are you doing? Get up. I know you won't die from a mere spear, my slave, Ymir." Fritz said.

Without the power of the Titans in her body, Ymir finally closed her eyes. The scene changed again, and Maria, Rose, and Sina were eating Ymir's body with tears in their eyes.

"Feast, my daughters! Whatever it takes, Ymir's power must be carried on! Eat every last piece of Ymir's body, Maria... Rose... Sina! My daughters... Bear children and multiply. Ymir's blood must be passed on. If my daughters die, feed their spines to my grandchildren. If they die, feed their spines from child to child!"

The vision of how her three daughters eat their mother's bodies makes me feel sick. Ymir already transfers all of the powers to her three daughters already. Why would it have to be like this... then I realize that we're back at the paths once again, Ymir then turns back while walking towards the unfinished Titan.

I heard King Fritz's voice, and it just makes me madder and madder. "Even after I pass, Eldia will dominate the lands with its monstrosities, and our Titans shall reign supreme for eternity! Until the world's end! For etern-"

"I'll end it!" I yell while hugging Ymir from behind, she suffered enough and I'm not going to let her continue to suffer. "I'll put an end to this cruel world! You're not a slave! You're not a god! You're just a person! You don't have to bow to anyone! You can decide! It's your choice! You get to choose!"

"But Papa..." Founder Ymir frowns as I continue, "You've been waiting this whole time. For 2000 years... For someone... was it me that you're waiting for?"

Founder Ymir begins to cry, then she turns around and eventually cries in my arms. I hug Ymir tight and she mutters, "I wanted to leave this place, Papa..."

"I'll bring you out of here, just tell me what I need to do?" I ask in a solemn voice.

Founder Ymir slowly stands up and shows me what will happen in the future. I see how I attacked what seems to be Reiner's hometown, killing Premier Zackley and also breaking my friendship with Armin and Mikasa. I also use the Rumbling to kill 80% of the people and they are going to stop me...

"Is this... is this the only way to get you out of this place?" I ask with a frown. I really don't like this future...

"I'm sorry...Papa... every time..."

"Every time? What do you mean by that?" I ask.

"I've been wandering here for who knows how many years..." Ymir says. "You have tried to free me countless times...every time it ends like this... I'm tired... I want to stay with Papa..."

"Countless times... so you mean every time I want to change the outcome, everything failed in the end?" I ask with slight anger, and Ymir nods. I try to divert my anger and ask, "So why do you call me Papa?"

"The power of the Attack Titan can see the future... when you freed me from this place, I will reborn your daughter... but every time it happened, Papa wasn't with me...and I don't like it."

"My daughter..." I mutter in slight shock, which means I will be married before activating the Rumbling, but then there is also another problem.

"Will I be able to do a mass murder? I know all of them to hate Eldians because of our powers but was it necessary to kill all of them because of it? There are also infants who don't even know a thing..."

"There are times you didn't do the Rumbling... but it also leads to the island's demise, and Papa would also be killed in the end..." Ymir frowns.

"I won't agree to that. If the Rumbling is what I need to save the island, then I'll do it." I say with a scowl. "But Mikasa would be the one killing me if I activate the Rumbling... and if I don't activate the Rumbling, I only have 8 years left..."

"I want Papa to stay with me... that's why I will get the curse out of you." Ymir says.

"You can do that? You can lift the 13-year curse?" I ask with surprise.

"The 13-year curse was formed from my grudge against Eldians. That grudge eventually disappeared after the Great Titan war, you were the first one I would lift the curse." Ymir replies. "I will also remove the vow from the first Reiss King. He had the Founding Titan, but he didn't solve the problem with the Titans... I might have a grudge against Eldians in the past, but now I feel pity and sad for them."

I know what Ymir means since I saw the visions of how the Eldians are suffering from the world. But what makes me mad is the fact that they used Eldians in wars and killed people, which only increases the hatred between Eldians and other humans. They called us the Island devils, and they kept saying how they want to destroy us. But we didn't do anything to them! They were the ones who turned Eldians into Titans and let them wander around our place.

Now that I think about it, Armin is now the Colossal Titan, right? I ask, "Ymir... I was wondering... will you be able to remove the curse on my friend Armin as well?"

Ymir flinches and shakes her head, "No, I don't want to."

"Why not? Armin is my best friend, and-" Before I finish, Ymir shows me more of the visions. They are about what Mikasa, Armin, Jean, and Connie's words after I attacked Liberio. It pained me that they agreed with the corrupted military to feed me into a Titan, I know Mikasa was still struggling, but the fact that Armin was trying to stop her is what makes me mad.

"Mikasa..." I closed my eyes, she was always loyal to me, and she would do anything to ensure my safety... but she didn't know anything about me... that's her problem... on the other hand, Historia, the queen, the two of us had been spending a lot of time together when the old regiment was still there. Argh... now I don't know how I'm going to choose...

My thoughts were interrupted when Ymir showed me another scene, after killing 80% of the population, Armin and the others failed their negotiations and thus Paradis Island was destroyed in the end, despite having only 20% of the population. I was relieved that Mikasa wasn't with them, but they were acting just like that Willy Tybur.

"How dare they..." My heart was slightly broken. "If I let them save the remaining humanity only for our island to be destroyed... then why would I bother setting everything up?"

Then I realize that I will need to move forward until my enemies are destroyed. If they want to be my enemy, so be it. As for Mikasa, I'm going to get her on my side, she will agree, right?"

"Papa?" Ymir looks at me with confusion, and I say, "Ymir... this time, I'm definitely going to free you."

Ymir nods before sending me back to the ceremony.

This is the rewritten version of The King of Paradis. As you can see, this is going to be a harem with Mikasa and Historia. This story will be similar to my other fanfic You Are Free, but there are some perspectives and it will also be similar to the Akatsuki no Requiem theory. I hope you like this chapter.
