Sora and Rochelle Goyle
It was not to long after another swim meet at Monster High and a gargoyle finds herself standing by the poolside. Most of the other students had left already.
Rochelle sighs once again. She lowers herself to allow her hand to soak in the water. Just wishing to truly feel how it is to swim.
The ghoul was then startled by a familiar voice. "Hey, Rochelle!" she turns around but slipped and nearly fell into the pool. Luckily, a pair of hands grab one of her arms and manage to pull her back up. "That was a close one."
Rochelle turns to see the spikey haired normie. "Oui!" she nods at the boy from another world. "Thank you, Sora."
The boy smiles and places his hands behind his head. "No problem. So, what are you doing here by yourself?"
The Gargoyle looks back at the pool. "Just wishing that I could know what if feels like to be in the water," she goes over to sit by the poolside.
Sora sits beside her. "I guess that's a downside to being made of stone."
"Oui. If I tried I would only sink to the bottom," Rochelle places her hand back in the water. Just wishing that she could do more.
The ghoul hears a swish sound. Turning, she sees that Sora is holding his key sword thing.
Sora stares at it before smiling and facing her. "Do you trust me?" he holds out a hand to the gargoyle.
Rochelle stares at the hand, just wondering what this strange normie has in mind. She then looks into his blue orbs. "Oui," and takes the offered hand. "I do trust you."
Suddenly, Sora shifts his weight towards the pool with is hand still holding onto Rochelle's. Gargoyle barely had anytime to hold her breath before hitting the water. She closes her eyes as she was blinded by a flash of light from the keyblade.
"Why are you holding your breath?" Sora asks.
Rochelle opens an eye and suddenly widens both as she sees the normie is missing his shirt but quickly registers that he now has a tailfin. "What?" her hands suddenly found their way up to her mouth as she realizes that not only she was able to breath, but she can speak as well. And instead of the feeling of stone touching stone, it was that of flesh. Looking down at her hands, the gargoyle sees that her hands, even though still grey are now flesh. "But how?" Beyond her hands, she sees something pink swinging in her sight. The ghoul is startled by the fact that her legs have been replaced by a pink tailfin. Even her signature black and white striped top has been replaced as well by a pink seashell top. And her wings have a more web-like fin appearance.
"It's a spell I learned from a friend of mine," Sora swims around the gargoyle turned mermaid.
"The dog or the mouse," she tries to swim only to find herself upside down.
"Duck, actually," Sora spins himself upside down as well to face her. He then grabs her hands. "Here, let me help you," and he assisted the ghoul right side up. "To swim, you use your tailfin to propel forward and your upper body to balance yourself and steer."
It took the ghoul a couple of tries, but she finally got the hang of it. Rochelle could not believe it. she is swimming, actually swimming. She turns to the boy and smiles. "Sora," he smiles back. Then he suddenly feels a sting on the side of his face. "That is for scaring me," she then kisses his cheek. "And that is for giving me this chance," she then pushes Sora away and swims off. "You're it."
Sora tilts his head before understanding what the ghoul meant and chases after her. He shouts, "You do realize that I've been doing this far longer than you!?"
Rochelle only laughed. She did not care; she was having fun enjoying the water. All thanks to this boy from beyond the worlds.
