The Punisher vs Spider-Man
by Poseidon Productions
May 1986
It is a cool day in Manhattan as the citizens went about their day, however that day is shattered as a gray 1980 Chevy Corvette screams around a corner being chased by several NYPD Chevy Caprices with their sirens blaring. Inside the Corvette, two brother are trying to elude the police with their ill-gotten gains. The man in the driver's seat, his foot on the gas pedal is a skinny man with dirty blond hair and nervous blue eyes. He is wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans and white sneakers. He was trying to escape from the police, but he seemed he could lose his cool at any moment.
The man in the passenger side was a lot calmer, but some worry was in his face. He had the same dirty blond hair and blue eyes of the driver but is much more in shape. He wore a black shirt, ERDL camo pants and black boots.
For Jason and Justin Dukes, this was the first time they had been chased by the cops. The two brothers had gone on a criminal spree that saw them rob several gas stations and mom and pop convenience stores. Luckily for them, they managed to get out of the area before the police could get there. Today was different, a patrol car had been pulled into the store the brothers were knocking over and Jason, the more athletic of them, pulled out his .38 caliber revolver and shot at them.
Now Justin, who had been forced by his brother to help him in his criminal activity frantically tried to weave in between traffic as the cops chased after him. The scarred man muttered under his breath while silently cursing his brother for getting him into this mess. Jason, while worried, had plans to ward off the police. Jason was a veteran of the Vietnam, having served in the Army, so he knew how to use weapons better than any civilian or beat cop.
The Army veteran opened the window on his side and then reached into the back seat to grab a weapon meant for last resort. He grabbed the M2 Carbine, a full auto variant of the M1 Carbine used in World War 2. He chambered a .30 Carbine round and looked over his brother with a wicked glare.
"Keep this car as steady as you can, you fucking pansy, I got the police to deal with," Jason said with venom in his voice.
"WHAT!" Justin yelped out, "WE'RE IN ENOUGH SHIT AS IT IS, KILLING COPS WILL BE A DEATH SENTENCE WAITING TO HAPPEN!"
"DO AS I SAY OR I'LL BLOW YOUR GODDAMN HEAD OFF!" Jason screamed back.
After the exchange, Jason leaned out of the window as one of the NYPD cars came closer to try and ram them off the road. As soon the two officers in the car saw the carbine, the one in the passenger side tried to get their Smith and Wesson Model 10 .38 out the window to return fire. However, Jason was faster and let rip a ten-round burst from his M2. This peppered the windshield with bullets and shattered it. Luckily for the two police officers, the erratic driving of Justin had managed to veer Jason's fire enough that the rounds went over their heads, also thanks for the driver ducking his head at the last minute.
The NYPD car soon careened off to the side and hit a parked car, giving the brothers some more room to maneuver. Jason took aim at the next NYPD car, ready to continue his onslaught.
However, the brother didn't suspect that their activity would get the attention of someone they didn't expect.
A man-sized shadow flew over the car and soon the sound of someone landing on their roof. Jason looked over to see a lean but athletically built man in a red and blue suit with a large, black spider symbol on the chest. His mask had white eye goggles on them that could emote with him. The brothers had gotten the attention of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
"Hey there," Spider-Man said in a mocking friendly voice, "Nice gun, did your father give it to ya?"
Without answering, Jason turned it on him and was about pull the trigger when Spidey shot his right hand with his pinky, index finger and thumb extended while his middle and ring finger curled closed out, a sticky string of web came out and wrapped around the barrel. He soon yanked gun out of Jason's hand and slammed it on the roof and webbed it up. Jason, now panicking, tried to get his .38 revolver out of his waist band but it was too late for him.
Spider-Man rushed the man and grabbed him but the cuff of his shirt and Jason let out a shrill scream as the Web Head lifted him out of the car with inhuman strength and jumped in the air. While in the car, Justin witnessed his older, more tough brother get yank out of the car, which finally took him over the edge, and he freaked out. In this state, his driving became untenable, and he tried to over correct a turn and soon flipped his ride, the car skidding across the pavement for a few feet before coming to a stop.
While this happened, Spider-Man took the older brother and webbed him up and stung him upside down from a light pole for the police to recover. Not without the Jason throwing a few threats at the Wall Crawler.
"Your dead Spider-freak. Once I get out, I'll hunt you down and fucking kill you!"
Spider-Man wasn't impressed with him.
"Oh Yeah, you and half the criminals in this city say the same thing, so get in line buddy."
Spider-Man soon webbed Jason's mouth shut to keep him quiet. Spidey soon looked over to see the police surround the Corvette, as they got out, Justin crawled out of the window, the glass having shattered during the crash. They trained there .38's at Justin.
"FREEZE, HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!" A police Sargent yelled at Justin.
The younger brother did as he was told, he had no will to fight the police.
Spider-Man decided to get out of there, he knew that some cop would try and arrest him, call him a menace and likely spout something that Jameson said about him. Plus he had some quality time with Mary Jane to attend to.
Later that night
The movie theater was emptying out from its latest screenings of films, Peter and his girlfriend Mary Jane Watson stepped out into the cool night air. When not in his Spider-Man suit, Peter Parker is an average looking white man with short brown hair and dark green eyes. He is wearing an Empire State University sweatshirt over a white t-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers on. Most people wouldn't expect a man like him to be the web slinging Spider-Man, they would not expect him to be dating the beautiful woman at his side.
Mary Jane Watson is a tall, stunning red head with gorgeous green eyes. Her bright smile shows off her flawless white teeth as well. She is wearing a tight, long sleeve halter top that showed off her flat and athletic stomach and a black unzipped hoodie on top, tight blue jeans and black knee-high boots on. Her stunning beauty made everyone look at her.
The duo had just got finished watching Top Gun and decided to head back to their apartment they shared together. Despite both being seniors in collage, Peter's job as a freelance photographer and Mary Jane's modeling allowed them to live in a modest apartment in Manhattan's Lower East Side, sometimes money got tight but they managed to make it work.
"So Tiger, how much did Jameson pay for those pictures of you busting those two knock over brothers?" Mary Jane asked.
"The usual, two hundred and fifty bucks," Peter said with some annoyance "Then he asked me if Spider-Man ran off with the loot, don't know why I still deal with him and the Bugle."
"Because it pays the bills Tiger," Mary Jane said with a genuine smile.
"I know but you'd think after all this time, he'd up the pay," Peter said but he appreciated his girlfriend's affection for him.
As the two walked away, three men in expensive suits come out of the theater. Two of them are tall, bodyguard types, wearing sunglasses to hide their eyes. The other man is an athletically built man with black hair and tan skin that showed off his Mediterranean heritage. He had a purple tie on to contrast him from his bodyguards, who had black ties on. His hair is immaculately done up and slicked back. His blue eyes turned to see Peter wrap his hand around Mary Jane's shoulders as the two lovers walked away, making the man shake his head.
For Edward "Eddie" Gnucci, nephew of crime boss Dino Gnucci, was disappointed that a smoking hot woman like that hung around with losers like that. Back during the glory days of the Mafia, women like that would be throwing themselves at made men like him. However, the world was changing. Now crack dealers wielded more power than them and the cops and feds were cracking down on La Costa Nostra. It wasn't all bad though, the Gnucci's were originally just a small crew before the Costa family, the second most powerful family in the city got slaughtered by someone years ago. After Frank and Bruno Costa died, Uncle Dino managed to scoop up most of the surviving members of the Costa family and the Commission that consisted of the surviving four families, the Manfredi, The Cesare, the Rigoletto and the Jaconelli, decided to allow the Gnucci's into the commission. The only downside is that they're the weakest of the families.
The mobster decided he wanted to go to the Luciano's Bar to get a few drinks before heading home. He and his bodyguards walked across the street and a block down the road to a parking lot that had their ride there.
However, they had no idea, somebody was waiting for them, ready to ambush them.
As soon as one of the bodyguards got to the back passenger side door to allow Eddie in the car, a figure stepped out of the shadows and raised a gun at the mook. With a pull of the trigger, a heavy .45 round struck the bodyguard in the side of the head, his brains and blood splattering against the black car's hood. As he dropped to the ground dead, the other bodyguard tried to pull his snub nose .357 revolver out of his shoulder holster but received two .45's to the chest for his effort.
"FUCK!" Eddie could only scream as he tried to get out his Colt M1909 Pocket Hammerless .380 out.
Before he could do anything though, a .45 round went into the knee, making the gangster shriek out in pain. He collapsed in a heap onto the ground, cursing out in pain. He also dropped his .380 pistol on the ground. As he tried to reach it, a heavy black boot crushed his hand, making him yell out in pain again.
Eddie looked up to get a glance at the man who had killed his bodyguards and crippled him. He saw a tall white man, likely Italian like him, with military cut hair and cold blue eyes. He is wearing a black body suit with military style combat webbing and holsters. In his hand, an AMT Hardballer Longslide, the very gun that shot him and his killed his men. The most stunning feature of this man was the white skull that is on his chest.
"Wha...what..do..you..want?" Eddie weakly asked.
"For you do die, scum," The man said as he aimed the longslide .45 at his face.
Before Eddie could beg for his life, the man shot him in the face, the heavy slug ruining his face, guaranteeing a close casket funeral. Done with his target, the man simply walked to his ride, a black 1970 Plymouth Barracuda and got in. He started the car and soon sped out into the night, leaving the scene of his crime, knowing the gun shot had altered someone.
For this man, calling himself the Punisher, this was his first strike against the Commission, going after its weakest link. It had been a long time since the Punisher was home.

Author's Notes
So here is my newest Punisher fic, an M-Rated crossover with Spider-Man. This fic is basically my interpretation of Spidey's and Frank's first encounter.
For those not in the know, the Commission is a mafia organization that governs the mafia itself, usually called the Five Families. The Costa's were the ones responsible Castle's family's death. But since they were killed off by Frank in revenge, they are now defunct. The new families are based on other families from Marvel (In the 616, they are called the Maggia because the real-life Mafia had their hands in the comics industries at the time and wouldn't allow their organization to be mocked, or so I remember reading.) The Manfredi's is a staple of the 616 led by the cyborg character Silvermane. The Jaconelli is basically the Hammerhead family from the 616, since Hammerhead has no surname in the comics, I gave him the surname Jaconelli (His first name is Joseph)
The Gnucci's and the Cesare are ones created by Garth Ennis (Gnucci's from the Marvel Knights run and Cesare from the MAX run) and Rigoletto is from the Jason Aaron MAX run (but from what TV Tropes said, Don Rigoletto appeared in the mainline comics in a few Spider-Man and Daredevil comics Posthumously.)
Hope you enjoy this story, hopefully I can finish this one!
