Where the idea came from(besides the song)⬇

Patton was gone. Roman and Logan argued on what they were going to do, knowing very well that Deceit took him. Virgil stood in the background, inwardly freaking out. They didn't know what to do.
"We need to go over there and show him what we're made of!"
Roman yelled obviously angered. He was the last to notice Patton was gone, leaving him worried and ready to fight basically anything in his path. Finicky, as Logan had said.
"You know very well that if we do that, we will, in the most likely result, be taken over and/or be puppeted by him!"
Logan was the second to notice the fatherly side was gone, only doing it realizing that Virgil was panicking. That factor didn't help the situation especially when they were attempting to find a way to get Patton back.
"Do you have a better idea!"
"No Roman, I don't. But I do know that is a horrible plan."
"Then, what the fuck should we do?"
"I don't know!"
Roman sighed, crossing his arms stubbornly.
"We have to think rationally with this. Obviously, Deceit has Patton taken captive. Nobody else would." Logan said, unknowingly cooling off from the heat he'd collected.
"Right."
Virgil watched halfway into the exchange, listening to only their quarreling before setting off to Deceit's room. The other two were too exasperated to really notice what his execution of a plan was or that he was gone before it most likely happened. He had thought through this over a million times in the last hour and only one outcome made sense. But at that point, he didn't care, he had to get Patton back. He trudged down the hall to the dark sides, memories passing by in his mind, all of them bad. He never wanted to come back here again. Too many wounds that would never heal. Too many sour tastes. Reaching Deceit's door, he scowled at the knob and hesitating to open it. Virgil gritted his teeth, grabbing the handle firmly and swinging it open. He wasn't gonna be a wimp this time. His scowl only grew as he saw Deceit sitting on a small throne-like chair.
"Why hello Virgil! Why would you of all sides come down here with me, hm?"
The snake grinned, a monstrous glint shining in his eyes.
"You know why I'm here," Virgil growled. "Give him back."
Deceit chuckled, shaking his head.
"And why should I do that, Virgil dear?"
Virgil felt anger and frustration well up in his chest, causing a knot to form in his throat.
A more controlling gaze fell upon Virgil.
"Are you gonna get desperate, Virgil? Or are you going to attempt to fight me? Your best option here is begging, and you know it."
Virgil didn't respond.
"Ooooo~! Would you not do it for Patton? You care about him, we all know. All you gotta do is beg!"
A grin played on his lips as Virgil sighed, fear sparking in his eyes.
"Please? I'll do something for you. Anything! Just give him back."
Virgil realized it was too late. He'd just said 'anything'.
"Anything~?"
Virgil nodded, knowing his world was about to turn into a living hell.
Deceit summoned a table and another chair, snake eye gleaming.

Actually read it, please. There's story worked into the song.)

You're in my world now, not your world
And I've got friends on the other side
(He's got friends on the other side)
I find delight in the world of the grim
Sit down at my table

Virgil was forced into the chair.

Put your mind at ease
(I put a spell on you) If you relax, it will enable me
(Now you're mine) to do anything I please
I can read your future

He showed a card with Patton in yellow ropes.

(Be prepared) I can change it 'round some too

It switched to him free.

(Trust in me) I can look deep into your
heart and soul (Poor unfortunate souls)
And make your wildest dreams come true (so sad; so true)

He pulled another card, Virgil now being the one with ropes.

I've got voodoo
I've got hoodoo
I've got things I ain't even tried
'Cause I've got friends on the other side

His eyes glew a bright yellow, the table and chairs disappearing. Remus appeared behind Virgil.

And if you aren't shaking, there's something very wrong
Cause this may be the last time you hear the Boogie Song
Woah
Woah
Woah
Woah
Woah
Woah
I'm the Oogie Boogie Man

Remus disappeared with a twisted grin.
The door burst open, Logan and Roman coming in.

Beware! Take care! He rides alone!
This vampire bat
This inhuman beast
He ought to be locked up
And never released
He swears to the longest day he's dead
He'll show him that he can get a head
This world was such a wholesome place until

Deceit stuck out his hand as Virgil looked back, heart hammering in his chest with anticipation and anxiety.

He had a plan to shake things up
And that's the gospel truth

Logan and Roman started to run up, only to be knocked back by the force of the power that blasted off of Virgil. He'd taken the snake's hand. He was under Deceit control, ropes attaching to his limbs.

Are you ready (This fire)
(Are you ready) (Hellfire)
Are you ready (Are you ready) (This fire in my skin)

Can you feel it?
You're changing, you're changing, you're changing alright

Virgil stumbled, eyes glowing yellow, filled with sadness.

Far from the ones who abandoned you
Chasing the love of these humans (Love is an open door)

Roman felt tears slid down his face.

Who made you feel wanted (Because they guzzle up the things you prize)
I hope you're satisfied
But if you ain't
Don't blame me

Patton appeared, stumbling against Logan as Deceit put an arm around Virgil, avoiding the stings. Roman clutched his sword.

Don't forget it
Don't forget it
Don't forget it
You'll regret it
This land we behold
The beauty untold
A man can be bold
It all can be sold

Deceit glanced at Roman, a smirk tugging at his lips, pulling Virgil closer.

As a specimen, yes, I'm intimidating
And you can blame my friends on the other side

"Kiddo?"

(You got what you wanted)

"Come on, we need to go!"

(But you lost what you had)
Shh

Logan dragged the other two out, noticing the subdued and painful-looking nod from Virgil. The door slammed shut, leaving a very confused and emotionally distraught Patton, a terrified and worried Logan and an angry and breaking Roman.
"What...What just happened? Why was Virgil in the string thingies Deceit makes? Why did you drag us out?!"
Logan remained silent, tears threatening to a spill.
"Logan. What. Just. Happened?!"
He still didn't respond, feeling that if he did, he'd start crying. To a small relief, Roman answered for him.
"Virgil just took your place, Patton. And mentally told us to get out so Deceit wouldn't fall back on his handshake."
"Oh..."
They sat in silence.
Logan shakily pushed his glasses up, attempting to control his breathing. He had to be stronger than this. Patton and Roman looked as if they just witnessed someone got shot.
"We need to get him back." He said, very aware of his voice's trembling. "But we need to inform Thomas."
Patton glared at the floor.
"That'll only make him worry more than Deceit's probably making him."
"Fair. But keeping it from him would prohi-"
At that moment, Roman collapsed. His sword hit the ground.
"Roman?"
"Kiddo?"
He whimpered, putting his hand to his mouth. He didn't hear the worried pleas of the other two. No. He could only see the way Virgil looked at him before the door slammed. The pained apology his eyes. The evil smirk glued to Deceit's face that he wanted to cut off and shove down its owner's throat. He didn't even notice the fact that he was on the couch now. He knew that he'd get Virgil back. He had to. He loved him too much to not at least attempt to have him.
