This story is inspired by Flashgunner's story: Love Has No Limit. I used elements from his writing and used it to create my own original story. I highly recommend you go read his fic.

"YELLING"

Prologue: Saviors

Thunder echoed through the countryside outside of Dentech City on a dark night, somewhere around midnight. Two men were hiding behind trees that made up the property line of a large, old manor that stood at the top of a hill. The men were dressed in black protective tactical boots, gloves, helmet, clothes, and gear. They wore a hard plastic mask with small holes for breathing that covered their mouths and cheeks and went up to the bridge of their noses. The black visor covered their eyes and were tinted enough that no one could see them (Basically paintballer gear). They had their PETs strapped to their belts and the letters "NS" stitched into both sleeves. The two made their way to the rear of the manor and one signaled the other to move to the front on opposite sides of the estate. Once to the front corners of the building, they peaked around to the front and saw two guards on either side of the entrance to the large porch that led to the door to the house. As if reading the other's mind, they slowly and quietly snuck up behind their respective guard. They looked at each other, one of them counted from three with their fingers, on one they both shot up and punched the guards in the sides of their heads, knocking them out. Once the guards were moved out of view, they stood and met each other at the entrance, revealing one was a little taller than the other.

"So far so good." The shorter one said.

"Don't get cocky, we've just started." The taller one replied as he began walking up the stairs to the front door. The other following suit.

Once the pair made it to the door, they found it to be locked. They pulled their PETs from their belts and told their Navis to unlock the door. The pair plugged their PETs into the terminals that were connected to the porch light.

Like in the real world, two guard Navis stood guard of the door program and portal to enter the manor's network. Suddenly, two bright lights touched down twenty feet from the guards. Before they could react, the guards were simultaneously shot by the newcomers, knocking them out as well. The new Navis looked similar to their operators. Their armor was all black and their emblem designs were removed, being replaced with the letters, "NS". Both had the battle masks on with visors coming out of their helmets to cover the rest of their faces. The visors were tinted enough so no Navi could see their faces. The shade of black was so dark that no identifying parts of their armor showed. Also like their operators, one was taller than the other. The tallest Navi ran to the door program and typed in a few codes. The click from the door indicated that it was unlocked. The Navi duo told their operators that they would head inside and take out any guard Navis. Back on the porch, The shorter of the two kicked the door in, drew his stun gun, somersaulted into the large entryway and aimed down the hall to the left while on one knee in one fluid motion, rain water dripping from his uniform to the floor, the other doing the same on the right. Seeing that no one was down the hall, he relaxed and stood.

"I thought you said this place was heavily guarded Chaud." The Shorter one said.

"That's what I would have suspected, quit getting distracted Lan." Chaud replied quietly.

The large entryway led to a wide spiral staircase that went to the second floor. With two hallways on either side leading to different parts of the manor.

Lan looked at his PET, "How's it going Megaman?"

The shorter Navi activated his com link, "Nothing here either, Protoman and I will keep an eye out."

Out of nowhere, A guard came through the doorway and grabbed Lan around the neck, he struggled for a second before elbowing the guard in the face and flipping the man over his shoulder. Before the guard could get back up, Lan pointed his stun gun and shot a small yellow ball of electricity out of the barrel and hit the guard. The electric shock caused him to pass out.

"I'm impressed, your training is paying off." Chaud commented.

Lan grinned under his mask, "Thanks."

Another guard came out behind Chaud. Lan instantly saw the silhouette.

"Look out-!" Lan called.

Chaud spun around, punched, and shot the guard before he could touch him.

"Heh, show off." Lan huffed.

"I have been doing this longer." Chaud responded.

"By what? A week?" Lan shot back.

"I'm an official, I was trained in combat to an extent."

"Whatever you say."

The pair proceeded to climb the stairs to the second floor. In the cyber world, Megaman and Protoman made their way to the next level of the house's net. Upon stepping through the portal, they were met with oncoming fire from five Navis part of the smuggling operation. Protoman sprung from where he was standing and ran to the left returning fire, managing to shoot and delete three of them. The other two were distracted so Megaman took this chance and summoned a pre-downloaded wide sword. He charged forward and cut the last two down in a few seconds.

"We've cleared the next level." Protoman informed Chaud.

"Understood." he replied.

Lan and Chaud swiftly, but quietly made their way to the top of the stairs. They were greeted by a large set of wooden double doors across the hallway that ran perpendicular to them. Lan checked the left side like he did downstairs and Chaud covered the right, no guards. Upon confirming the coast was clear, they walked up to the door side by side. Lan gave Chaud a nod and simultaneously kicked their respective door open. Inside was a large room with high ceilings, the walls were lined with old fashion bookshelves and books. A brown leather chair was placed on the left side of the room presumably for reading. On the far side, A wooden desk faced them and a man in a chair had his back to them looking out the wide church style windows.

Lighting illuminated the room brighter than it already was, "So… You finally caught up to me. You two must be the new Net Saviors I've been hearing about."

The man spun to face them. He was dressed in a navy blue tuxedo with a white shirt underneath and a red tie, his dark black hair slicked back with gel.

"Mr. Henderson! Your illegal net smuggling operation is over!" Chaud declared.

"Is it now?" As if in a queue, two guards came behind them and kicked the two to their knees. The guards put their rifles against the two saviors' heads.

"Of course I can't just quit, there are people out there like me who need their goods! Now of course I can just let you leave, You've already seen too much." Mr. Henderson ushered his guards to shoot them.

Lan immediately moved his head out of the way as the guard shot his rifle, putting a hole in the floor. He followed up by yanking the gun out of the guard's hand and hitting him upside the head with it. The guard over Chaud got distracted so Chaud elbowed him in the knee making him stumble over. Chaud stood up and grabbed the guard's head and kneed him in the face. The two Net Saviors stood tall over the downed guards and glared at Mr. Henderson through their visors. Lightning lit the room again and thunder shook the whole house. After a brief stare off, Mr. Henderson pulled a pistol and shot, but missed horribly due to his attempt to be quick. Lan and Chaud dove behind the chair. Lan peaked around the corner but was met with a bullet that hit the piece of furniture mere inches from him. He quickly pulled himself back behind the chair.

"I WON'T GO TO PRISON!" The smuggler frantically screamed.

Lan pulled a hunting knife out of the sheath on his belt.

Chaud eyed the blade, "Lan what are you-"

Before he could finish, Lan dove out from the chair and threw his knife in a way so it would spin through the air at Mr. Henderson. A moment later, the butt of the handle hid him square in the forehead, causing him to lose balance and fall. Chaud jumped over the chair and over the desk and pinned Mr. Henderson. He flipped him on his stomach and handcuffed the smuggler's hands behind his back.

"You are under arrest for the smuggling of illegal cybernet contraband." Chaud stated sternly. Mr. Henderson didn't respond.

Chaud stood and eyed Lan, "That was a stupid stunt."

"It worked didn't it?"

"Whatever."

Lan pulled his PET back off his belt. "Any updates, Megaman?"

"Not a thi-" Megaman began as a bright light touched down in front of them.

Out stepped a bulky navi that stood maybe a foot taller than Protoman. His hands, boots, body, and helmet were navy blue, like his operator's suit. His arms and legs were a lighter shade of blue. A spike protruded from each shoulder and one came off the front of his helmet, like a unicorn horn. He had a human face with red eyes.

"Rum-runner! We've already caught your operator! Make this easy and surrender!" Protoman called the smuggler navi.

"You're a fool if you think I'll simply give up." Rum-runner growled back.

Megaman activated his buster and Protoman called a long sword. The enemy summoned his personal cannon. Megaman and Rum-runner began exchanging fire and dodging each other's fire. During this, Protman ran towards his foe, he jumped up and brought his sword over his head to strike him down. As Protoman neared his target, Rum-runner turned his head to see a red streak approaching. Without wavering, he formed a sword in his free hand and blocked Protoman's sword, also while firing at Megaman. Megaman saw his partner's proximity and stopped firing, not wanting to risk hitting him. Rum-runner pushed Protoman away but he immediately came back swinging. The two went back and forth while the Blue Bomber replaced his buster with the sword. He began to move closer behind the enemy's back. Before he could reach him, Rum-runner looked back and fired his cannon while fending off Protoman. The projectile hit Megaman in the top of his right shoulder, breaking off part of his yellow shoulder covering while sending him backwards. Once he came to a stop, he propped himself back up slowly with his sword.

"Lan, this isn't going too well…"

The Net Saviors had their PETs plugged into the nearest terminals at this point. As well as Protman being kicked to the ground by Rum-runner.

Lan looked at Chaud, "Full Synchro?"

"Looks like our only option." Chaud responded.

Both Navis heard their operators and grinned at Rum-runner knowing what was coming. Lan and Chaud looked into their PETs with determination in their face, and they froze. Moments later, a white aura sparked and surrounded both operators. In the net, the images of Lan and Chaud split and rejoined their respective Navis, Their emblems growing brighter in the process.

"So this must be the Full Synchro I've been hearing about. Rum-runner commented. He turned both hands into swords.

With no more words spoken, Megaman and Protoman charged at the smuggler from two sides faster than any Navi could dream of. Despite this, Rum-runner still blocked both of the swords. The Net Saviors passed and stood on the opposite side from where they were.

"No normal Navi could ever have blocked that!" Megaman panted.

Chaud's image split from Protoman, "He's been around the block."

"That I have." Rum-runner responded.

Megaman dashed back towards him but was hit in the face with the fuller of Rum-runner's right blade. In the real world, blood began to leak out of Lan's mask, but he remained perfectly still. Before the large Navi could strike him down, Protoman blocked the sword with his own, but forgot the fact that the smuggler had two. Rum-runner brought back his other hand and Protoman noticed. He began to pull back but was too slow. He managed to cut a long wound on his opponent's left forearm as he retreated. Blood seeped through Chaud's black sleeve. Megaman took this time to roll over and move out of the way. Now, Rum-runner made a move. He sprinted towards Megaman and held up his swords. Megaman blocked them as he swung and fought to keep the blades away from his head. With the added power of Full Synchro, The blacked out Navi began to overpower the smuggler, inching the blades closer despite the height difference. Then Rum-runner's eyes went wide as he stopped resisting. He then collapsed as if his legs were gone. The thing was, his legs were gone. Protoman had come up behind him and severed them, incapacitating him.

"You've lost." Protman taunted. Rum-runner could only groan in pain.

The pair reformed their hands and released Full Synchro. Their emblems light faded. Lan brought his hand to his mask and felt the warm liquid coming out of it, which was his blood. 'Probably a bloody nose' he thought. He looked over to see Chaud on one knee violently clutching his arm.

Lan got down beside him and put his hand on his partner's shoulder. "You're arm…"

Chaud pulled his shoulder from Lan's grasp "I'll live." he said coldly and stood up glancing at Mr. Henderson who remained handcuffed on the floor.

The police showed up ten minutes later, it had stopped raining since the Net Saviors defeated Rum-runner. A couple of officers loaded up Mr. Henderson into a police car and took Rum-runner to a detention network. A medic who came along patched up Chaud's arm and Lan refused treatment for his arm explaining it wasn't bad enough to be concerned over, but the medic still gave him a cloth to wipe away the blood. After that, Lan and Chaud jumped into the back of a black armored transport van that read "Official Electopia government vehicle" on the sides. The Van began the drive back to Dentech City. In the back of the vehicle, Lan and Chaud sat across from each other. Chaud, who also was the taller one, was the first to take off his facewear, helmet, and mask, revealing his silver hair and blue eyes. His appearance hasn't changed much. Lan wiped the blood off his mask and took off his facewear as well. His hair had grown longer, and without his headband all that hair covered his eyes. His face below his nose was coated in blood, he cleaned his face with the cloth and looked at Chaud.

Lan brushed the hair out of his face and broke the silence, "that was pretty successful all things considered."

"I guess so, I could probably still use my arm if you didn't get so ahead of yourself." Chaud muttered

"Oh don't even start that shit!" Lan replied angrily, "We took down one of the most wanted smugglers in the country, getting out with a few injuries is pretty good in my book."

Chaud didn't respond.

The silence lasted for a while before Lan broke it again, "I wonder how Rum-Runner was able to hold his ground against us in Full Synchro."

"Those two have been in the smuggling business longer than both of us have been alive. Plus it takes a lot of strength to protect yourself in the Undernet while performing such operations." Chaud answered.

"So years and years of practice." Lan confirmed.

"Pretty much."

Lan looked at his PET and saw Megaman with his helmet removed, but still in the black armor. Megaman had changed his hair to be longer to match his operator. His brown hair was also messy and his bangs drooped in front of his face. Lan could see the fatigue in his green eyes.

"Megaman, what time is it?" Lan asked.

"It's 1:47 in the morning." the tired Navi replied.

Lan leaned his head against the wall and closed his eyes remembering he had another day of 10th grade later that morning. 'Geez, good luck waking me up later," he thought.

Megaman sat on the edge of his bed program, examining his wound from the cannon shot. His black armor faded away into data revealing his original coloring. As much as he enjoyed protecting people and bringing peace to his country and city. He felt horrible for having to keep secrets from his friends for so long. He thought of Roll, who for some reason, found the hardest to lie to, it made him feel terrible. He could only imagine her reaction if she found out, it probably wouldn't be good.

Lan wondered how he would explain his bruised nose. He could tell his friends that he tripped and fell, because that was something they could see him doing. But Maylu was never easily convinced, she always found a way to see through his lies. Probably because they've known each other so long. 'Guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there.' He opened his eyes to see Chaud with his eyes closed leaning against the wall as well. He fell asleep from exhaustion while Lan was in thought. He decided to copy Chaud and get some sleep. Afterall it there was still a thirty minute ride ahead of them to reach the city.

...

And that's the first chapter to my new story. I'm pretty happy with it. I got the idea of Full Synchro from Flashgunner which is part of the reason I will be referencing him, but I also new about it from the manga. Please review and I'm going to begin writing the next chapter!
