Moonlight washed his fur silver, and clouded his eyes. But he was unmoved as he traveled. Stormfurs eyes were clouded with misery as he made his way down the river between WindClan and ThunderClan. He knew he had to be bak with Brook and his kits, but this was just too important. It was a dream he had gotten only a day ago.

Pausing at the border, he sniffed the air before slipping into the ThunderClan forest. Trembling slightly, he paused under a fern bush and then paused at the edge of the clearing.

The ferns on the opposite side quivered, and then Brambleclaw pushed into the clearing, blinking as his eyes focused on Stormfur. He blinked a few times, and then glanced around. But Stormfur, on the other hand, ignored all safety precautions now that he was in ally territory.

"Stormfur, what are you doing here?" hissed Brambleclaw quietly, slinking up closer to him, "You're supposed to be was Brook and her kits, what in the name was StarClan are you doing here?"

Stormfur blinked, "Didn't you have the same dream?" he meowed slowly, quite unlike Stormfur. Brambleclaw blinked, then growled.

"Of course not! I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Yes you do," grinned Stormfur, "It was just you and I, remember, we had each other for an eternity. Not Brook, not Squirrelflight. No one but ourselves."

Brambleclaw paused and then looked back up at Stormfur, "How did you know? Stormfur, it won't be allowed."

"We can live together past the stream, above the new territory." He decided, "Just you and I until we die."

Brambleclaw paused, "But I'm deputy of ThunderClan, I can't just abandon them…"

Stormfur licked Brambleclaws ear gently, "Brambleclaw, what matters more, your Clan, or me?"

Brambleclaw paused, thinking hard, the finally sighed, "I know I love you, Stormfur, but I can't go. I will not go. I have to protect my Clan. You go, and when I decide I'm ready and that the can won't die behind me, I'll come to you."

Stormfur grinned, "Thank you, Brambleclaw. I'll be at the top of the mountains waiting for you every day. Don't be long." Brambleclaw nodded and watched as Stormfur bounded of to the river. Pausing, he turned around and headed back to the camp. He would join Stormfur one day, his one true love.
