Esmeralda, 18, lives with her father in South Central Los Angeles, California. She and her father are poor but work to get by. One day, she meets playboy Sosuke Aizen who witnesses her dancing and takes an interest in her. However, Sosuke is not the only one interested in her. Esmeralda will be taken into a world that is a matter of life or death.
