Chapter 01: End Of Muggle Life
Adrian Reynolds let out a tired sigh as he finished writing the answers. He looked up and saw the clock hanging on the wall, indicating that he still had another thirty minutes on his hands to finish the paper, but he already did so. So unsurprisingly, rather than re-checking the answer sheet, he simply got up from his seat, walked to the examiner's desk, submitted his answer sheet, and walked out of the examination hall.
His little walk did attract attention from the rest of the students, who were busy writing their own answers, but more than half of the class looked at him, then at the clock, and went back to finishing their own papers in time. Alas, a few of them were still looking at the leaving figure of Adrian with envy, but after a few moments, they shook their heads and went back to finish their own papers. There is no need to compare; even geniuses pale in comparison with the genius level Adrian possesses.
He is called "Monster" among other geniuses. And on top of that, the said person has now finished giving his A-Level examination, and it'll be completely fine if he contains with his academic achievements. But no, the said genius went further, winning national and international awards in painting, archery, and even fencing, and he did that on his own, as an orphan no less, gaining massive respect and admiration from the masses.
After finishing his A level examination two months ago, he went full nuts on grinding his other skill, most importantly his magical skill.
Yes, Magical Skill. If it was before the system awakening, he would've gone mental, hell seeing floating text in a blue box first thing at morning should be a good moment to panic.
Congratulations! You are selected to be the first gamer in your multiverse.
But all he felt was peace, and somehow it felt like it was against his own will, and the next pop-up was the answer to his feeling.

Lying on his small bed at the orphanage, he recalls the moments two years ago when he was lying on the very same bed he was currently occupying and received an unfamiliar sound that later he became quite familiar with; did he mention the very strange floating text appearing in a transparent blue box in front of him? It was quite the scare he got at that moment.
It was two years ago when he awakened what he calls "The Gamer System." And thanks to that, he can easily work on his different expertise with ease, slowly but continuously growing up to the maximum level. Even before his "Gamer System," he was a known genius in his school, so it didn't bring any unwanted questions from his teachers when he kept surpassing himself. His teachers probably thought, as an orphan, he was doing his best to make a place for himself.
But after awakening, he was able to level up, or in a more general term, was easily able to master art, archery, and fencing skills. It's not like he was doing this aimlessly. No, he needed to finish his system quest to upgrade his system. Because just after he somehow unlocked the basics of his system, his system became moody, apparently he had to finish this quest if he desired more skill and options to grow in the future.
Yet, even with this handicapped system, he was able to manipulate mana, or what others might call magic, to do his bidding.
[Skill]
[Telekinesis] (Active) [LvL 89/100]
• Push/Pull things
The very first thing he did was, try to move his books without touching it physically, he failed at first attempt, but at the end of the day he was able to slight push the book, if it was two cm, it was worth it. But it made him tired—not physically, but mentally. He deduced that whatever he was trying to pull up was heavily depend upon his mind so he needed to train his mind if he wanted to make progress.
And thanks to [Meditation] he was able to level up [Telekinesis] at a terrifying speed. Truely, once mastering body, mind and soul, human potential opens a complete new door for their growth.
[Teleportation] (Active) [LvL 76/100]
• No need to buy a ticket or waste time when you got mana
His most guarded secret, [Teleportation, he was able to unlock after levelling [Meditation] to Level 50 and [Mana Manipulation] to Level 20.
[Telepathy] (Active) [LvL 98/100]
• Do you really needed mouth for taking, Nope.
• Able to infused your will on other people or animal (LvL 50)
What others won't tell you is that he also helped him understand animals. Yeah, animals. Not only did the [Telepathy] skill allow the user to read or deduce the surface thoughts of humans, but it also included every living thing. He has yet to understand Plant, but another pop did answer his query.
[Plant Manipulation LVL 20 needed for this skill]
Yeah, future is limitless.
[Art: Painting] (Active) [LvL 56/100]
• Master
All thanks to his WIS stat, he wouldn't able pull this up.
[Archery] (Active) [LvL 91/100]
• Intermediate
If he continued practicing, he should reach mastery at the end of this year. Who would've thought that archery will help him unlock another skill, [Precision] LVL 65/100, as they say? Yeah, Bullseye.
[Fencing] (Active) [LvL 98/100]
• Intermediate
The art of poking is his most chaotic art, and he absolutely loves it. Fencing ended up unlocking skills related to the body at the same time as boosting his physical stat.
[Dodge] LVL 85/100
Help user dodge the incoming attack.
[Sneak] LVL 71/100
Grant User ability to sneak.
[Fatal Blow] LVL 26/100
As his name suggest [Damage] 2
[Sense] LvL 90/100
Sense your surrounding (LVL meter)
He could also channel mana to specific body parts to enhance that part of the body, but to do that he needed to max out the [Mana Manipulation] skill.
[Mana Manipulation] LVL 97/100
Ability to freely control/use Mana.
Mana was like fuel when he needed to perform any of his extraordinary skills or abilities.
To unlock and level up these magical skills, he needed to train his body and mind. So he ended up asking his PE teacher if he knew a way that could help him train his mind. His teacher looked at him weirdly but did tell him to meditate if he wanted to calm his mind as well as increase his memory power.
Which he thankfully did; at first, it was quite hard to [mediate] without getting distracted. But the more he meditated, the calmer he felt, and later, when he maxed out his meditation, it helped him unlock the new skills "Mind Arts" and "Telepathy," so he wasn't complaining.
[Meditation] (Active) [LvL Max]
• Open your mind
• Grants more rational and logical thinking
• Recover 0.01% Mana/seconds
Now it's almo-
[DING !]
Ah, here it is. He was wondering when the notification was going to pop up.

'Did my water and air just get mixed up? So if I unlock any other element and mix it up with another element, don't I end up with a bunch of new elements?' Adrain was busy mesmerising the ability or hack that the Gamer System possessed.
'And both of my [water manipulation] and [air manipulation] skills came from some inheritance? Did I inherit it from my parents? Did they have this skill as well?' wonder Adrian as he saw his inherited skill
"[Yes, they did.]"
"Sy-System..?" Adrian shutter. 'Did the system just comment? It never did before' he thought, but before he asked again, the system replied.
"[Yep!After completing Upgrade Quest, System has not only unlocked other functions but has also become more intelligent, so all you need to do to ask anything is think about it; you do not even need to speak out loudly...]" System replied in a haughty manner.
'Well.. what should I call you then? Or should I just stick with system?' Adrian asked with a confused tone. To which the system vehemently denied and said.
"[Nope, give me name, System is just a class for u-me]"
''How about Ivy then?' asked Adrian after thinking for a minute. System, or the newly named Iva, immediately agreed to her new name.
'But can you tell me why exactly the maximum limit of these skills extended up to 200 and wasn't it 100? and since I never used this "skill," how have I already made progress on this scale?' Adrian, who was making sure it wasn't a prank from the newly upgraded system, asked hesitantly.
"[Well, apparently your parents possess this bloodline and have made some serious progress, so you ended up inheriting 10% of their progress. ]" Ivy replied sagely.
Adrian nodded his head in understanding, but Ivy's answer ended up raising more questions.
'Were his parents some extraordinary people? he mean, normally, even when you can use [water manipulation] and [air manipulation, it should be limited to Level 100. So who were they? If they were so powerful, did they die? How did he end up in an orphanage of all places? Did the-'
His thoughts were once again interrupted as Ivy issued another quest.
Quest Added.
[Know thy Parents]
Objective – Find out about Your parents
Reward: [Title] , ?
'Another quest, which probably answers the mystery behind his parentage, should be left to the future since he can't make any progress now' His [Gamer Mind] once again lived up to its name, as it deduced the result.
'Now, what the heck is trait selection? Why am I having a mixed feeling about this?' Adrian asked Ivy as he saw the trait selection notification pop up in front of him.
"[You should actually, it's a double-edged sword; it might make you or it might kill you; when you choose a trait, you will gain a bonus and a flaw according to your luck, so good luck, host..]"
'That means it heavily depends on my luck, right? Ivy, show me your character.'

His luck was the lowest; his academic achievements helped him increase his INT; his creativity in art (paintings) and meditation increased his WIS; fencing, archery, and other physical exercise boosted his body-related stat; even his increased popularity increased charm; but it didn't help that he inherited quality genes from his parents.
But his luck stuck a dead end; he didn't find any method to increase it. Maybe if he started gambling, but who would let a 9- or 10-year-old gamble? Probably the people he shouldn't have any contact with. And now it's the most crucial factor. He can think of only one way to increase his luck stat, and without giving it a second thought, he put all his saved points [15] into luck, raising it to [25]. Hopefully, the system will provide an opportunity to earn or grind the luck stat in the future.
Quest Added.
[Lucky Brat]
Objective – Prank 100 people without getting caught.
Time limit: 1 year.
Reward: [Title] , 100 Luck Points
'"Great, the system is now telling me to release mayhem to satisfy my need; I'm not complaining though; there are a lot of people with massive poles stuck where the sun doesn't shine, and they needed some of his creativity," he deviously thought.
Somewhere far away, in a Castle:
Fred and George, who were once again facing their weekly detention with a certain grumpy batty professor, sneezed, and for some reason they felt cold, not because of the sneeze but for some different reasons.
Trait
Perk Gained
[Lady Luck Love Child]
• Luck 2
• Each Month you can choose a day as lucky day (Lucky Day: Luck 10)
• Chance of dodging fatal attack (Luck stat)%
'Finally, something that will help him with his low luck, Luck 2 means his luck points have now directly reached 50, surpassing his other stat points. But having a 25% chance to dodge any fatal attack opens a new window to his growth. He will be a little more protected in battle.'
Flaw Gained
[Greedy]
• Nothing satisfied you.
• You Greed have no limit, you want everything.
'Don't mind being greedy; I do think it's fair trade, but nothing can satisfy you, which might put him in trouble in the future.'
Perk Gained
[Mana Monster]
• Mana 2
• Mana Recovery 2
'His mana directly jumped to 1760 MP, he had never felt this much magic in his entire life, and to think it's just the beginning, absolutely baffled him.'
Flaw Gained
[Ruthless]
• Cold, Calculating, Ruthless.
• You don't care what you have to do if it means you achieve your goals
'It might help him on the battlefield someday, but in real life? Unless he wants to be a politician, he didn't find many uses; I hope there is a way to remove this trait; the system will probably issue another quest.' Adrian thought, as he judges the pros and cons of the ruthless trait
Perk Gained
[Charm Overload]
• Charm 2
• Reputation/affection gain increased by 50%
'Yeah, definitely a politician, unless he becomes a celebrity, which might not be a bad idea, truthfully speaking.'
Flaw Gained
[Lustful]
• You lust have no boundaries
And here it is, his luck finally ran out, and he hopes not to attract any unwanted attention due to this trait or act out of character. That will be more humiliating; he wouldn't be able to normally face anyone if something embarrassing did happen. Time to grind [Mind Arts].
And he is yet to hit puberty, and the system is already making plans for his future? How troublesome.
'Now lets roll the gacha' asked Adrian.
[Gacha Rolling... 5]
Aura of Normality
• Hide in plain site.
• 5% Chances of enemy getting confused.
'That's a life-saving ability, I don't even know just how many enemies I will eventually have to deal with, and with this ability, I can keep a low profile, at least magically. For some reason, I can't help but think of dodging the old meddling fool with the long white beard and the capital phrase "greater good.".'
Somewhere far away, in the same Castle:
An old man, who was busy eating lemon drops while making some questionable plans, thought aloud, "Finally, The Girl Who Lived will join Hogwarts this year; it will be far better if that woman gives her more access to The Girl Who Lived, after all his plans require her greatly." His musing halted as he felt a small ripple completely submerging his entire plans deep into the ocean.
He shook his head and put another lemon drop in his mouth, letting out a small, blissful noise as the drop melted in his mouth. He has no idea when he got addicted to it, probably while making plans for the greater good.
'I hope that useless Weasley becomes GWL's best friend; otherwise, I have to execute Plan B' thoughts the old man as put another lemon drop in his mouth.
'It probably also kept him under the radar from the sheer number of enemies my parents would have made during their time.' For some reason Adrian always had this feeling.
'And with this ability, it will keep me away from some unwanted attention, mostly from ordinary people.' thought Adrain, as he remembered some people popping out here and there with extraordinary power, some causing serious trouble while some of them decided to become vigilant, challenging the law and directly undermining the work of the public security department. It's all over the news; they call themselves "mutants," they apparently possess the "X gene," and that is what makes them different from any other people. A lot of people, mostly in the church, call them abominations, but he thinks otherwise. His little scientist mind deduced that human evolution isn't complete yet and that it's still going on, resulting in the appearance of people who possess extraordinary power.
Knowing his own special ability, it won't take him long to unlock his own X-Gene, so it's a good thing to have this ability.
True Invisibility
• Nothing, absolutely nothing can detect it except some Cosmic being.
''Seriously? The chaos he could unleash—just kidding, well, he did have to prank 100 people; it will come in handy for that,' cackled Adrain. Ivy sweated after hearing such thoughts.
Metamorphmagus
• Art of shape-shifting
'Shape shifting invisibility prank—yeah, he can finally unleash the chaos, which he has long surpassed'—and he felt giddy as 100 Luck Points now look closer than before.
Shadow Manipulation/Umbramancer (LvL 01/100)

• Hello, my young padwan, welcome to Darkside.
''A new type of magic, putting all points in luck, really paid off, but I have yet to receive garbage gacha,' sighed Adrian blissful, like his Christmas has come early.
X-Gene unlocked: Void
• Grants user slight control over void.
Void LVL 01/?

Create hole made of Void to absorb any attack from the enemy
Costs varies.
His X-Gene is completely out of the world—I mean, literally, [Void]—and he doesn't think there will be any attack that he won't be able to defend now.
'Yeah, it's definitely worth it, putting all points in the luck stat is certainly by far the best decision he made today, and he has yet to select a day as a lucky date; he shudders with excitement at what would happen when he does.'
His wondering thoughts came to a halt as he heard a knock on his door. He opened it and saw a matronly lady with a tiny, small man with a beard. He didn't comment on that, but he can feel that the small man is powerful—magically powerful.
'Observe'
Filius Flitwick LvL ?
Age: ?
Title: Charms Professor, Head of Ravenclaw House
'
'Observe shows me nothing except name and title' thoughts Adrian with extreme caution, it's first time he is in this type of situation, he know nothing about this man. He looked back at the kind matron and, without delaying another second, greeted her with a warm smile. Which matron returned with an equally warm smile. After all, he is a star orphan living at her orphanage because of him winning national and international awards and cash prizes, half of which he donates back to the orphanage and the rest goes to a separate account that he will gain access to once he comes of age. Also, winning an international prize brought the orphanage to the attention of the local government. To say the orphanage isn't lacking anything after that would not be an understatement.
"Adrain, this kind gentleman is Professor Filius Flitwick, and he is a professor at a school for gifted students. He came here to recruit you in his prestigious school," Matron informed Adrain happily.
"Thank you, Ms. William, I'll take over from here," replied the tiny man, now identified as Professor Flitwick. After hearing the professor, the matron left the room, leaving them alone.
Flitwick turned to look at Adrain and said, "Hello, Mr. Reynolds, my name is Filius Flitwick, a professor of charms at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, tell me, do you believe in magic?"
