The Magic Digidestin Chapter One Another New World Part One
It was a sunny day in London which is rare in London. The wizarding world was celebrating finally ending the wizarding war. Though there were still death eaters on the run a lot had already been captured. But, Harry was about to put all his Gryffindor bravery to the test, even though he was a Ravenclaw where he met his best friend the hat said he had the attributes of all four houses, but Ravenclaw was his best fit. Harry was on his way to tell the woman of his dreams since 4th year when she was the only one to stand with him during the Triwizard Tournament. Harry was on his way to Hermione's house. He made it to the simple-looking cottage and sighed. Taking a deep breath he raised his hand and knocks on the door. Though little did he know Hermione has a secret of her own since they were young she also had a huge crush on Harry. Though it was since they met as kids, and he saved her by jumping on a troll's back to save her. When he could have gone back to the common room for safety. But, he dragged Ron the reason for her being there in the first place was to save her. But she'd never tell him she loves him. Knowing that he only saw her as his bushy-haired buck tooth annoying best friend. He would always go for someone like Cho Chang, or Ginny Weasley. Hermione opens the door to see her best friend and secret crush standing there "Harry come on in" she says to him shocked to see him here, and not at the burrow. She moves out of the doorway to allow him to enter then she grabs his hand hiding her blush and leads him to the backyard where her parents were currently grilling and setting up for dinner. "Mom dad Harry's here," she says to them letting them know of the company that had joined them.
Her parents of course knew of Harry Potter. Their daughter had written home about him quite often along with a Ronald Weasley. Though her parents had a suspicion there was more to this Harry Potter than just a friend. But, their daughter had never said a word, and so neither did they. "Hello Mr and Mrs granger it's nice to see you again," he said blushing realizing that Hermione still had his hand.
Her parents knew after seeing the blushing on each of their faces, and that they had yet to release the others hand that the two of them had feelings for each other. It was a relief to know their daughter's feelings for the young man were not one-sided, and their daughter wouldn't get hurt in the end. They looked at each other and decided to get them to finally say so. They just wanted their daughters' happiness, and if that was with her best friend then they would make it happen. "Harry, can we talk in the kitchen privately?" Mr. Granger asks with a smile to his wife. Harry gave him a look that said ok, looking at Hermione and she looks just as confused but walked inside to the kitchen with Mr. Granger. "Harry you have known my daughter since you were kids" Mr. Granger starts out grabbing himself a beer and handing Harry a Cola. " So I have to wonder why is it so hard for you to tell my daughter how you feel. It's obvious. Though maybe not to her, in the letter she has written home it is obvious, and the way you look at her. So why haven't you told her?" asked Mr granger.
Harry looked shocked and his eyes go wide, but he sighed and looked at Mr. Granger with sad tired eyes. "honestly sir I'm afraid that if I put myself out there it will ruin our friendship. She has been the one constant thing in my life, and always stood by me. Even when I feel like I didn't deserve it. She is everything to me, sir. I don't know what I would do if Hermione wasn't in my life." Harry replied back.
While the conversation was happening inside, Hermione and Mrs. Granger stayed outside. Hermione looked towards the house with wide eyes, unsure of what was happing. Or as to why. Hermione looked to her mother, "mom why did dad want to talk to Harry privately?" Hermione asked.
Hermione didn't like the unknown, and always had an answer for everything. And, always standing by Harry's side in every dangerous situation. Though she didn't think he dad was dangerous he was no dark lord, but not knowing was killing Hermione Her mom smiled at her daughter. And ran her fingers through her wavy curls trying to calm her like it did when she was a child, "the same reason I wanted to talk to you dear. Your father and I have had a suspicion for a while, and don't think you hide it anymore dear. I know you have feelings 4 him." Mrs. Granger says in a calming voice.
Hermione looks at her mother in shock there was no way she could know. She never said anything, and she didn't think she would be ready to say it ever! She looked at her mother trying to have the most innocent face she could, "Who mom?" Hermione asked trying her best not to give anything away.
Her mother looked at her with knowing eyes, and she knew the jig was up before the words left her mouth. "Harry of course." Mrs. Granger replied as if they were just discussing the weather or everyday subject. Not their daughter's deepest darkest secret that she thought no one knew about. They both were thinking 'oh man how'd they know.?" went through the two minds of young adult's minds.
