Madara Uchiha was always looking to run away from her Uchiha duties, her father cared deeply for her and wanted her to be the next Uchiha clan head. Izuna was good, yes but Madara was both older and better at ninjutsu and taijutsu, a prodigy Shinobi as she was known but the elders always looked down upon her since the day she was born. Tajima never cared for tradition and wanted the best for his children but everything had its price, Tajima wanted her success as his time left was limited since he was struck in his leg by Butsuma Senju and injured Shinobi are dead Shinobi.

Madara felt overwhelmed by both the positive and negative attention she gained, that is why she always ran away to the river throwing rocks and imagining the elders where she threw them. One day a boy with a bowl cut threw a rock past hers and it landed across the river unlike hers, she was annoyed maybe beyond annoyed as he said: "You know you should throw the stone across, not in the river."

He had the stupidest smile she had ever seen, Uchiha's don't smile much, and if they do it's more reserved than a wide-open mouth. Madara replied, "And what if I wanted to throw it into the river, I bet you did not think about that, idiot."

When Madara called him an idiot he had an aura of depression and it made her feel guilty as he said "I'm sorry I'll just leave, I'm sure I could find another river to drown in."

"Wait." She said softly as she grabbed for his arm "You can stay I am just frustrated is all, I am sorry let us start over again."

His aura of depression was replaced with a huge blush as Madara was holding his arm and he didn't even know her name, Madara let go of his arm and said "My name is Madara, but I think it is best we do not reveal our family names as it is not safe to do so."

He felt more relieved "My name is Hashirama, and I agree with you about family names as you never know who you can trust." He put his hand in a handshake motion, she hesitated at the gesture because Madara always wore gloves Izuna gave her and she felt naked without them.

Noticing her hesitancy Hashirama pulled his hand back and said "I understand, we did just meet but we'll get there eventually. But for now, think of me as your rock-throwing rival, but seeing as my rock has already made it you'll need to catch up fast." His smile was back in full force.

Madara felt annoyed at the last comment and punched him in the shoulder knocking him to his ass with a thud, Madara picked up a rock and said "I am going to make it, I will prove to everyone that I can."

Hashirama was confused about the last part could she be in a similar predicament as him, he laughed when Madara's rock fell after three skips. Madara turned around and looked at him with anger, Hashirama knew that a mad woman is never a good thing and slowly made his way off the ground and hoped she would not snap.

Madara calmed down slowly and Hashirama noticed that a body was floating in the river and quickly checked to see what clan they were from, Madara noted he was a Shinobi too. They were from the Hammura clan and Hashirama said "The war seems to have gotten here too, we should both go home as it's not safe now."

Madara agreed and left racing for home but not without checking to see if anyone was following her, she couldn't help but like Hashirama and couldn't help but wonder why he came to the river too.

Madara would occasionally sneak out to see Hashirama for almost a year until Madara chose a meeting location at the bottom of a cliff face. Hashirama was late and Madara made sure he knew it "Idiot, do you know how long I have been waiting!? Honestly, I question why I am still friends with an ugly boy who has no taste and a stupid haircut."

Hashirama fell into his depression mumbling something but Madara couldn't quite hear him, he then said "You're too easy to trick, Mara" as he ran up the cliff. Madara didn't even register that he gave her a nickname as she chased after him.

When they finally reached the top they sat down looking over the valley, Hashirama being the optimist said "We should build a village here where every clan could live in peace, and children won't have to fight adult wars."

Madara humbled him as she wished for the same thing but she knew in her heart such a thing could not last "And where men and women can be equals."
Hashirama smiled and said "And the leader should be the most qualified or strongest of the village." Madara wished it could be so but things never work out for the best, losing two brothers taught her that.

Hashirama would sometimes stare at Madara when she wasn't looking, he felt mesmerized by her beauty even if she looked more akin to a boy than a girl.

When Hashirama and Madara said their goodbyes Madara was confronted by Izuna, she and Izuna returned to the Uchiha compound where Tajima revealed to Madara that Hashirama was a Senju. Her world was flipped upside down as she had to choose between her family or Hashirama, she desperately didn't want to choose as Hashirama had been nothing but kind to her. She kept the rock from the river and decided to warn Hashirama of her father and brother.

When she met Hashirama on that fateful she hoped he would listen and not be his stupid optimist self, she threw the rock straight across and Hashirama did the same but Hashirama wrote a warning as well and both attempted to leave as both families jumped from the trees landing on the water.

Tajima and Butsuma had a small conversation before attacking each other while Izuna and Hashirama's brother did the same, Madara and Hashirama begged for both to stop but no one listened. Tajima and Butsuma were equal in every way, so they threw kunai at the opposite son both Madara and Hashirama threw the rocks to stop the kunai before either brother was injured. Tajima asked Madara if they could win but Madara knew as much as she hated to admit it Hashirama was stronger than her, so the Uchihas left but not without Madara disowning Hashirama's friendship to unlock her Sharingan.

Many years later Madara and Izuna were forced to confront both Hashirama and Tobirama on the battlefield, Hashirama unlocked his wood style to constrain Uchihas instead of killing them. Hashirama had taken Madara's words to heart as he grew his hair out, making it as long as Madara's herself. Madara had unlocked her mangekyou Sharingan after Tajima died leaving her as the clan head, she had also grown into a beautiful young woman but most of her body was hidden under her armor.

Hashirama and Madara were equal in strength no matter how much Madara wanted to kill him, Tobirama was slightly weaker than Izuna but that made him use his intelligence and cunning to win. Madara heard the sound of Tobirama's blade piercing through Izuna's body and his bloodcurdling scream, everything went blank as the only thing that mattered to her was Izuna.

She quickly ran over to him catching him before he fell to the ground, Hashirama felt guilty and offered Madara a chance to save Izuna, Izuna was protesting while Madara was indecisive but left with Izuna anyway.

Izuna soon succumbed to his injuries and died awakening Madara's eternal mangekyou Sharingan, completely engulfed in grief sought out Hashirama and fought him for a complete twenty-four hours and he was standing over her still pleading about creating the village they had dreamed of.

She gave him an ultimatum to kill Tobirama and know how she feels to lose a brother or kill himself.

He unstrapped his armor and gave his final words to the surrounding Senju and his brother but just as he was about to Impale himself Madara had caught it.

The Senju and Uchiha created peace and the village they had dreamed of, Hashirama even gave Madara the honor of selecting the name for the village.

She picked up a leaf with a hole in it and said "How about the village hidden in the leaves."

Hashirama went into his depressive state and said "Not even creative, you just looked at the first thing you saw."

"You idiot, stop getting depressed all of a sudden!" Madara yelled.

Hashirama even surprised her that she would be the Hokage but Tobirama interrupted and Madara refused to look at him since Izuna's death.

Hashirama was forced to leave with Tobirama back to the Senju compound of the village, Tobirama argued with Hashirama about Madara being the Hokage, Hashirama couldn't put a good argument together in Madara's favor and Hashirama was named the first Hokage much to his dismay.

During his second month of being Hokage he and Madara visited the newly formed hidden stone village, it was a much needed vacation from Tobirama, but it also meant more time with Madara which he desperately wanted to get closer to her but there was always the fear of her not reciprocating his feelings.

Madara was furious and it didn't make anything better when word traveled that the Uzumaki wanted an alliance through marriage. Madara became more and more distant from both the village and the Uchiha, only attending meetings she was needed for and a special one regarding the Uzumaki bothered her and the elders were starting to fear for their lives when they asked for her name in a marriage with Ashina Uzumaki's eldest son.

Madara refused to be an object in a trade deal even if lives depended on it, Hashirama heard the news when Madara barged into his office and told him that she refused to marry any man. Afterward, she made fun of the Hokage robes for looking too stupid which distracted her, Hashirama would do anything to make her happy and declared the Uzumaki marriage to the Uchiha nullified.

Hashirama spent his birthday and Halloween with Madara, how he wished that things would last like this forever, but he knew all good things come to an end.

As winter was approaching the village was running low on resources and was forced to form an alliance with the Uzumaki, but since Madara was out of the picture it was forced upon Hashirama to marry Ashina's only daughter Mito.

Madara felt betrayed and she didn't even know why, she had read the Uchiha stone tablet and knew she had to enact the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Madara told Hashirama that she was leaving the village, Hashirama begged and pleaded with her not to go but it was to no avail as she turned to show her mangekyou and said "I am going to destroy the village unless you can kill me, Hashirama Senju. So you decide what is more important to you, your village or our friendship."

Hashirama was frozen as her words cut through the air, it gave Madara a sense of superiority over him and she left not saying another word.

Mito arrived in the village during Hashirama's meeting with Madara, she was greeted by Tobirama and the redhead found him to be attractive, to say the least but her father only wanted one of the two founders to seal the alliance.

Hashirama was forced to fight Madara along with the nine tails, but when she enveloped the nine tales with her Susanoo it simply terrified Hashirama as it meant she had no intention of wavering.

Luckily Hashirama was able to subdue the nine tails long enough for Tobirama to assist with Mito sealing it inside herself. But Tobirama couldn't interfere with his fight with Madara as he'd been injured by Madara and was forced to return back to the village.

The fight had completely torn most of their armor and drained Hashirama of most of his chakra, Madara was winning the game of attrition leaving Hashirama on the ground beaten and broken.

"I have finally beaten you, and now you know how it feels to be second best," Madara said triumphantly.

Hashirama on the ground said with tears in his eyes "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

It confused Madara as she had never seen Hashirama in this state, but then she felt a sharp pain in her chest and noticed Hashirama's sword in her chest. She felt her life draining as her blood was oozing out.

"I'm sorry Mara," Hashirama said from behind her. She realized that it was a wood clone and that Hashirama had shown no mercy, even for her. "You have changed, Hashirama..." Madara said before she fell to the ground lifeless. Hashirama fell to his knees and let out a scream of agony looking at Madara's body.

Hashirama returned to the village carrying Madara's body, Tobirama felt it was right for her to have a funeral even though he had hated the woman to no end. But when Tobirama looked at his brother during the funeral, he'd never seen Hashirama so empty, it worried him knowing as many men at the loss of someone they loved, committed seppuku. Tobirama didn't know if he could bear the loss of another brother.

During Mito's wedding, she too noticed that Hashirama not once looked her in the eye. Hashirama was miserable and only Tobirama knew for the reason, Tobirama felt guilty as he was the reason Hashirama was forced to kill his best friend and the only woman he truly loved.

Three months after Madara's death Tobirama visited his brother's office, he was shocked to find Hashirama had committed seppuku. Tobirama vowed to treat the Uchiha as equals, he gave Hashirama one final gift by putting his grave next to Madara's. Tobirama was named the second Hokage and Mito had given birth to a boy five months after Hashirama's death.

Other villages began popping up in the five great nations with their own kage. Tobirama began training two young students named Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura.

During his time as Hokage Tobirama created many forbidden jutsus like the shadow clone jutsu, flying Raijin, and the reanimation jutsu. He also fought in the first and second great ninja wars, he even got to see his grand-niece become the greatest medical ninja the great nations have seen.

He eventually gave the Hokage mantle to Hiruzen Sarurobi passing his heart, courage, and will of fire. But passed on all of his hatred towards the Uchiha to Danzo, even if his hatred for the Uchiha had changed slightly since Hashirama's death.

Mito's son married a woman and had two daughters, Tsunade Senju and Kira Senju. Kira Senju fought during the second great ninja war and was almost killed by suna Shinobi but was saved by the man she would love for the rest of her life, Sakumo Hatake.
