Welcome to a new story, I have a large A/N at the very end, so I will not bother you with a long-winded explanation. Enjoy!
"Speaking"
Mental thoughts/conversation with the twins
The latter will make sense as you read, no worries.
...
Orario. The Dungeon City.
The city certainly had a fair look and feel to it, but there was always something more to it. At least, it would have been great if he arrived with his Goddess. She decided to split up and meet up at a later date, but what she didn't tell him and the rest of the familia was when. However, she was at least gracious enough to point them to Orario.
Then again, being level three for five years, and having leveled up outside the City was a huge achievement in it of itself. Still, he was looking for the other members of his familia, which happened to be his twin sister, Irene Vlahos. She was also level three and was far behind compared to him. While he was on the cusp of level four, she was on the lower end of level three. Still, the duo had a lot to learn.
Entering the city was a challenge in it of itself, having shown the guards that he wanted to become an adventurer. They were a little shocked to find out he was level three, as that was highly uncommon, even rare. So, he spent a half-hour trying to get in after the guards, members of the Ganesha Familia, were asking him all sorts of questions; all akin to how he leveled so fast. Most spend years, possibly decades at level two, and some never make it at all. Once he got past that, and those annoying questions, a new chapter of his journey was only just beginning. Now he just had to find his familia, aka his sister.
Being one of two members of the Dia Familia, they were less known and subsequently were poor. That didn't deter him as he found his way down West Avenue, or Adventurers' Way, according to the locals. The green-cloaked figure had two short swords on his left hip, a longsword hidden beneath the cloak, daggers on his greaves, and a few throwing knives on his right hip. He looked ready for a fight. Thankfully, his armor was forged by a level four blacksmith he met in his travels—however, the sheepish expression they had didn't exactly sell it—so it was meant to take a beating. The weapons, however, held a story of their own.
At this time of day, the stalls and stores were filled with people, mostly adventurers going to and from Babel Tower. Some were weapon shops, others food stalls, or even a potion shop. Heh, we didn't have those out there.
The Tower of Babel was known as the 'lid' of the Dungeon. Being fifty stories and over five hundred meders tall, it certainly caught all sorts of eyes. As for it being the lid, the Dungeon lies below it, spanning an unknown number of floors, each one more expansive than the last. There was a rumor that floors twenty-five through twenty-seven were all connected, which seemed… counter-intuitive. Nonetheless, it all seemed intriguing, but he had a different objective. So, he continued walking.
As a result, he ended up outside the Hostess of Fertility, or Benevolent Mistress, again according to the locals. This place was said to be run by an ex-adventurer who goes by the name of Mama Mia. Entering the place, he noticed a certain green cloak, one that matched his. Finally, he thought to himself.
He went right behind the cloaked figure before taking both index fingers and poking their sides, which elicited a girly yelp, and a few curious eyes. "Hey, what's the big-" a gasp, "Isaac!" the figure's voice turned and wrapped her arms around him.
"Nice to see you made it safely, Irene," the male named Isaac said. He returned her affections and sat down across from her. "How did I know that I was going to find you in a bar?" His voice was gruff, low, and scratchy from disuse. It was a lonely journey from the Far West. While the Far East was surrounded by water, the Far West was surrounded by mountains and deserts. So despite the harsh changes in temperatures, it wasn't a bad place to live. Consider the fact that both of the twins had to leave when they were eight… well…
"Well, I expected you three days ago. Since you told me you were at Melen only a week ago, I thought the journey should've taken you less time," Irene said as she swallowed down another helping of pasta. Her staff was hiding underneath her cloak, similar daggers on her greaves, but instead of a longsword, she had a wakizashi and a tanto, both elegantly designed, and to contrast Isaac, she had shurikens instead of throwing knives. Again, all from that same blacksmith before they traveled to Orario. These actually were forged by them.
"The fishing was nice but better question: When did you get money to eat this?" Isaac asked. Sure they were poor, but they weren't that poor. The point being, it was a feast that could feed him and her five times over.
"Dungeon. I only went to the first three floors, got a bunch of magic stones from them, turned around, and exchanged them for valis, around eight thousand, and I got hungry and bored because I had to wait for you."
Lowering his hood, Isaac sighed, "What did I tell you about going in there without me?" However, he wouldn't admit it to Irene, her going in was a godsend—ironically—because they would be able to get shelter for the night. Then, they would have to go to the Guild and officially register. Since Goddess Dia has yet to arrive in Orario, they had to make do. She had said she left Orario to travel and build up her Familia. Well, she did do one of those things.
As Irene flipped off her hood as well, anyone with eyes could see that they were siblings. Their ears, however, were a different factor. They were slightly elongated, but only just noticeably so. To put it simply, they were quarter-elves. Both of their eyes were an earthy hazel. Irene had more elf traits to her than Isaac. Her face was clean, free of freckles, blemishes, or anything of the sort. Her face was more rounded than Isaac, whose face was more oval-shaped, but a sharp jawline which he inherited from their father. Irene's hair was longer, flowing down to her upper back when she's standing. Isaac's was more of a messy style, but sometimes, the longer strands covered his left eye. He thought about getting cut soon or letting Irene style it. She was always crafty about it.
Still, they looked beautiful and handsome respectfully, not to mention how many eyes they both caught since unveiling their hoods. However, there was a certain waitress who watched them with sharp blue eyes, merely observing.
Isaac had a few freckles on his face, coupled with his aforementioned traits, he was ascetically pleasing to look at. The same went for Irene. They didn't have a second name, because they have to be in Orario for the Gods' Denatus ceremony. Dia mentioned it was mostly for the Gods' entertainment to name their children. Most names were double entendres, but the children thought they were amazing. They rolled their eyes at the playful insult to the Gods.
As for their elven heritage, the concept of full, half, and quarter elves all exist, even further down the line of fractions until the inheritance becomes negligible. Their mother was a half-elf, their father a human. Their maternal Grandmother was an elf, one whose name once spoke volumes throughout the Far West. Contrary to popular belief, a forest did indeed exist out there… for a time. Unfortunately, with all sorts of climate changes, they had to adapt to survive.
Irene huffed, "Well, it was either that or we starve tonight. I just wish Goddess Dia could be here with us." She sighed as she lowered her head.
"You and I both know that she would rather have us eat before her, imouto" Isaac said. While their elven pride resided within them, their human pride trumped over it a majority of the time. As for Goddess Dia, she could be described as an older sister type of Goddess. They could always rely on her when the going gets tough. The number of times they argued with each other only for Dia to bop their heads with a goofy smile was too many times to count.
"Ani, did you manage to find her while you were out there?" Irene asked, her tone shifting to concern.
Isaac looked away, "No." I am beginning to think that she is gone.
"Well, you can't think like that, now can you?" Are you positive?Come on, you surely cannot believe that.
Isaac snatched up what could be considered a spiced roll and gnawed on it, "We'll see." This conversation is over. The roll was very good, and eventually, Isaac enjoyed a lump of meat and potatoes. Oh, how he missed this kind of food. His stomach was gracing him with its thanks.
At that moment, the doors of Fertility opened, and in strode eight different people. The city of Orario was full of different walks of life. From Prums, Cat people, Dwarves, Elves, and many more, there were certainly interesting characters.
With that, the attention was stolen from the quarter elves to the one Prum, two Elves, a Werewolf, twin Amazons, a Dwarf, and one Human. The whispers were of a Sword Princess and Braver and Nine Hell. "So, who are they?" Isaac asked.
"They are members of the Loki Familia, all of them being First-class adventurers," a new voice said. Both twins turned to see the elf waitress holding a tray in front of her as she spoke. "They are some of the most famous people in all of Orario. I can only assume you are from outside the City, am I correct?"
Irene answered, "Indeed we are. It looks like we have a lot to learn, now don't we, Ani?" She's different, and definitely your type.
"I agree, we cannot make any moves without knowing the consequences," Isaac said carelessly, but his tone suggested anything but. Not in the slightest, plus she's a pure-blooded elf, I'd probably get insults before I get another word in edgewise.
The waitress cast a scrutinized look at the pair, before walking off. Had anyone else heard that, it might have been taken in the wrong manner, causing all sorts of problems. Problems the twins didn't need.
It seemed like hours passed, but it was only mere minutes. Having finished their meals, they enjoyed some spring water, popular with elves. At this point, they were lounging around, enjoying the company of one another. It was a grueling few months without one another. Even their magic was hard to use over such a long distance.
Irene was about to go ask Mama Mia a question when they heard the commotion, "Hey Ais, why don't you tell the story about that thing?"
"What thing?" they heard a smaller voice ask, given how the bar quieted down to hear this chatter. The girl in question seemed to be apathetic to everyone around her.
The werewolf speaking was clearly drunk at this point, "About those minotaurs on the fifth floor? You know? The one that got away, that you saved that tomato punk? A wimp who just started adventuring got cornered by one of them who ran from us. When Ais cleaved it in two, it got blood all over him."
Irene noticed a white-haired child, looking down, clutching his knees. The female quarter-elf quickly spoke to her brother. He's here and now he's suffering from embarrassment. What should we do?
Isaac immediately looked over to the corner of the pub, seeing the kid in question. There is not much we can do, otherwise, we'll cause a scene. We can't afford to cause a scene. Dia-
Goddess Dia, Irene interrupted. This was one of those moments where Irene's elven pride and respect prevailed over her human pride.
Dia is not here yet, and she would be able to talk to Loki about him lowering his voice, or better yet, ejecting him from the bar.
Around the werewolf's table, the Amazon twins could be seen laughing, while the younger of the two elves and the dwarf were enjoying their meals. However, the older elf looked like she wanted to throttle the wolf, just to get him to shut up.
"And he looked like a bright red tomato. Even better, after our princess saved his ass, he up and ran away screaming. How pathetic and weak is that?" the wolf slapped his knee for emphasis.
"In that situation, he hardly can be blamed," one of the Amazons said, grabbing another helping of her ale.
The green-haired elf spoke, "It was our fault that the minotaurs were allowed to escape from the seventeenth floor. You should be ashamed."
Isaac and Irene could tell that the elf was fed up with the wolf's smack talk to an adventurer that was unknowingly in the room. The wolf seemed to be offended by that statement and responded, "What's the problem from saying trash is trash, huh?" The amber eyes of the werewolf switched to Ais, "What do you think? Hypothetically, who would you choose? Me? Or tomato dork?"
The small Prum spoke up, being the peacekeeper he was, "Bete, you're drunk, aren't you?"
Ignoring the small fry that is their captain, "I'm talking to you, Ais! If that kid asked you out, would you say yes?" Bete continued speaking without a care in the world, " A wimp who's weaker than you has no right in hell to stand beside you. You yourself would never allow that!" The elf twins watched as the white-haired kid's head sunk deeper and deeper into the table. He was most likely reflecting on the said incident. The final nail in the coffin was harsh, "A wimp isn't good enough for you. Not for Ais Wallenstein."
The sound of a chair being overturned as the kid rushed out of the Hostess with one goal. Escape the embarrassment. Irene and Isaac scowled at Bete, who didn't pay them any attention before walking up to Mama Mia, "How much did he owe you?"
"Two-thousand valis, why?" The dwarf, who was not short by any means towered over the twins. This place was Mama Mia's domain, anything that happened, you answered to her, and she was not merciful. She didn't allow fighting in here, so this was considered neutral territory.
"Well, since he just suffered the humiliation of the highest degree, we'll pay for his meal, as well as ours. We have other places to be," Irene said. Isaac was never good with people. Irene, however; the biggest social butterfly you'll ever meet.
One of the other waitresses walked up, silver hair and silver eyes, her tray hidden behind her back. A human by the looks of her, her gaze seemed to be searching for something, but didn't seem to find what she was looking for, "We do have an inn if you wanted to stay the night."
"Syr, back to work," Mia said to her employee. "However, why are you paying for him?"
Irene smiled, but it was a plastered smile, a fake to hide her anger, "We know what that's like."
Isaac bumped her shoulder, "You're the bleeding heart, imouto. On the other hand, how much for a room for the night?"
Irene knocked his shoulder back in retaliation, "Ignore my older brother, except on that last part. We'll pay six thousand valis for all of the meals, plus a room for the night. Then, we'll leave."
Mama Mia laughed boisterously, confusing the twins, "Haven't seen adventurers like you in a long time. Orario needs some like ya. Deal, but answer me this, how was the meal?"
Isaac's eyes lit up, "Most delicious meal I've had in five years." Mia patted him on the back, and he felt the difference in strength. Yep, definitely a high-level adventurer.
Irene smiled, paid Mia, and both of them bowed before Syr offered to show them an empty room, "Thank you for staying at the Hostess of Fertility, and uhm, thanks for sticking up for Bell." The waitress looked bashful as she spoke, so it was kind of funny.
"Thank you, Syr. Good night."
What they didn't notice was the gaze Syr sent them, and then an evil-looking smile only fit for a Goddess.
The next morning, the twins departed from the Hostess of Fertility with the intent of going to the Guild. The main building was called the Pantheon on Northwest main. They hadn't seen any sign of the kid, Bell, since last night. Isaac wanted to help, but it didn't seem like his place. Irene, however, wanted to do anything to help him.
"I'm telling you, we should have helped him," Irene argued.
"And I'm telling you that it could have gotten ugly. I did not want to tangle with upper-class adventurers on my first day here," Isaac argued back. This has been a recurring conversation since last night. Neither sibling wanted to give up, as stubborn as they are.
So, as they continued to walk down the street, seeing more residential places than shops, they wondered if there was a place they could live in.
"Hello?"
The twins turned around at the familiar voice, seeing a shorter girl, black hair parted to one side, emerald green eyes peeking out, an outfit that matched her eyes, straps that went over her stomach, with little flower decorations. The dress had a slit on her left side, showing off the leggings she wore, as the dress went down to her ankles and on her feet were sandals that the ancient Spartans used to wear. However, the difference between her and any other person was the divine aura they were emitting.
Both twins smiled, "Dia/Goddess!" They said at the same time.
The girl, who was shorter than Irene at 5' 4" giggled, "Hello, my children, how are you feeling?"
Ignoring the looks they got, the two of them scooped up the petite Goddess in a hug, spinning her around once. The twins were elated to finally see their Goddess, the one who gave them purpose, after a few months of separation.
Once they set her down, she patted them both on the head. "I'm glad to see you've made it to Orario. I apologize if you had to wait long."
Isaac shook his head, "No Dia, I was only here for one night, while Irene was here for two days."
"We were on our way to the Guild to register as adventurers, despite being level threes with your falna. Since we don't have an established presence here, we need to start from the ground up," Irene said, gaining Dia's full attention.
"That will be unnecessary, Irene," Dia said, her tone shifting to her older sister tone. "I have already taken care of that, but I slipped through some side streets to get behind you to say hello."
"Oh, well, we still need a Guild advisor," Isaac pointed out, shifting his cloak over his shoulders again, it almost fell off during their reunion.
"After that, I would like to disperse your excelia since your last status update was over three months ago," Dia said, resting her hands on their shoulders. The twins, only being seventeen, stood at 5' 11" and 5' 7" respectfully. Isaac is the older twin, only by mere minutes. Dia is one of the only beings in all of Gekai that they allow them to be touched. Elves had an aversion to touch, only allowing those they find worthy to. The twins never understood it, but with them being quarter-elf, it never sunk in too deeply, it just was there.
"Fair enough, now, onwards to the Guild," Irene said with a smile, happy her familia was back together again. She had Isaac's hand in her left and Dia's in her right. The Goddess smiled at the younger twin as she was pulled along the street. Isaac, of course, grumbled to let him go, but Irene was one who had an iron grip, and she didn't let go easily.
As they arrived at the Guild hall, they immediately went over to the counter, to see Eina Tulle lecturing the same white-haired kid, Bell, from last night. The twins showed surprise but with Dia's insistence, went over to a red-headed Werewolf, Rose Fannett. The werewolf's ears perked at the approach, but actually looked at them when she felt Dia's divine presence. "Goddess," she greeted.
"Hi Rose," Dia responded. "Well, to get to the point, I have two members of my familia to register."
"Greetings," the elves said in sync, which was a little creepy. The twins stared at each other for a moment before chuckling and apologizing in different manners. The corners of Rose's mouth twitched, but not enough to warrant anything meaningful.
"Very well, come with me to conference room three, where I will get all the required paperwork for you and we can be on our way," the receptionist said before getting up and heading to the back room.
Dia turned to the pair and spoke in a tone that warranted their attention, "You listen to everything that she has to say and disregard her behavior towards you, mostly to you Isaac, but this applies to Irene as well."
"Wait, that means she's-"
"Yes, Isaac, but that means you should not attempt to flirt," Irene chided her elder twin.
"Hey, I don't flirt, I barely even talk to girls anyway," Isaac said with a pout on his face. Other adventurers, mostly those of the female variety—a couple of males as well—and even some of the receptionists all looked at Isaac with an intent he was nowhere near ready for, and it suddenly made him feel like he was in the Pleasure Quarter he's heard some talk about. The tips of his ears went red as a result.
Dia just smiled fondly, "I am only letting you know as to not get your hopes up."
"Bold of you to assume my hopes were ever up," Isaac said, half-joking, half-serious. Irene was one of the only people to catch on to his self-depreciation streak and subsequently hit him at full power. He only moved an inch. "Sorry, I know how you get when I am like that."
"Good, you at least recognize it," Irene hmphed before turning, her long hair hitting Isaac, making him blink. Dia rolled her eyes at the siblings before following them back to the conference room.
Just like that, the Dia Familia is now official! The twins were grinning at each other and beamed at the Goddess before them. "This is so exciting! We're a recognized familia now!"
"Well, not quite," Dia had to rain on that parade. "A familia is more than just its members you know. There are the fees, the housing, and all sorts of other essentials. Thankfully, I've had a long time to do this, so if you would follow me, my children."
The twins did so, with an excited gleam in their eyes. It was almost scary to any passer-by. It looked like they were charmed to follow the short stack that was Goddess Dia. They went down Southwest street, passing Amor Square, and arrived at a complex of housing. However, there was one specific symbol of what looked to be a cross with a lightning bolt shadowing it, a reference to the once-powerful Zeus Familia. "Is this…?"
"Indeed, my children, this is our home. The house is two stories, but plenty of room for expansion. This is what I have spent the last five centuries building up for. The best part is, all of the other houses around it are rentable," Dia said with a touch of giddiness. "Meaning, I have a business while you are Dungeon crawling. It works for all three of us."
"Won't you need a lot of staff members to do all of the paperwork?" Isaac was quick to ask, pointing out what could be a flaw in his Goddess's plan.
Dia turned to the elder twin with a smile, "That is unneeded, as I have already gotten a staff prepared. With some assistance from the Guild, this runs itself. All I have to do is confirm the residents and manage financials. Surprisingly, there are many people who need an affordable place to live and this is my way of giving back to Orario."
Isaac smiled fondly at his Goddess, "Then I will follow this to your heart's content."
"You know, if you said that to a girl other than Goddess Dia, you might have a girlfriend, or at least, a significant other," Irene teased.
"Ira, this is not the time for that," Isaac's tone shifted down a stark contrast to the tone he just had mere moments ago. Irene winced before apologizing. The nickname meant he was warning her.
Dia noticed this and proceeded to drag them both inside and showed them around their new home. It certainly was reminiscent of the Far West, giving the quarter-elves a little taste of home. "Thank you, by the way," Isaac said, looking away, a light blush on his cheeks.
"It's no problem, Isaac, Irene. After all, you're my first two children, which means you will always have a special spot in my heart forever."
Isaac and Irene immediately got on one knee and each one had something to say, "Goddess," Isaac started, which had Dia's full attention, as he only calls her 'Goddess' when it's important. "I believe I can speak for both of us when I say you saved us all those years ago. Without you, there's no telling where we would've ended up." His eyes did not rise off the floor, instead, they remained glued to the ground.
Irene picked up the slack, "We had little to nothing, only each other, before you came along, saving our lives. We owe you everything."
Dia was shocked, while she never pried into the personal lives of her children, their falna did that for her, much to her dismay. She knew their situation was dire when she came across them, but this information was a shock to her. So, the Goddess got on her knees and wrapped an arm over both of them, surprising the twins. They saw the tears in their Goddess's expression, but she quickly quelled their worries, "I am just so happy that you… that you both… I don't have the right words to express how I'm feeling." They saw the tears, but once again, Dia reassured them, "These are happy tears, I swear on your falna."
The three of them embraced as a Familia reunited once again.
The very next day, the twins were immediately summoned by Dia to get a status update and she was very pleased with their progress. Admittedly, the twins agreed only getting a few status updates a year, or more dependent on the situation. However, they never like looking at their status sheets. They always prefer to let Dia say what was there, what improved, and whatnot. While Dia wants them to look, she understands why they don't. They don't want to rely on their level and status, but on their skills and techniques. If anything, the Far West and the journey here taught them that, much to their Goddess' dismay.
"Isaac, you developed a new skill," Dia said with awe. She noticed Isaac actually seemed interested. Normally, she'd tell him the skill, since Dia was actually quite knowledgeable, despite her cute appearance; but this was something else entirely. Her face scrunched in confusion as she read the skill aloud, "Liaris Freese, I know nothing of this skill, nor do I know what it does besides the skill says."
"What does it say?" Isaac asked, now intrigued fully, but not as much as Irene.
"I'll get to that in a moment, as for you Irene, you gain a new spell and the same skill as Isaac," Dia said. The last time that happened was when they joined the Dia Familia, the skill in question was what allowed them to speak to each other mentally. Futago's Maindosukēpu.
"What's the spell?" Irene asked, interested since she was more of a mage but had the potential to be a battlemage, like the ones in Ancient Times.
"Orb of Divine Healing, which is one of the rarer skills for a mage to have, considering you're more offensive than a normal mage," Dia said with a smile. "Do you wish to look at your sheets?"
The twin's curiosity overruled both of their feelings of pride as they reached out their hands for their respective sheets. Both of their eyes widened as they witnessed the growth they had. Even still being level three, the jump they had was better than they thought. "I jumped almost five hundred points!"
"I went up four hundred points! Our status updates were three months ago! How can we have this much growth in such a short amount of time?!" Irene screeched. Dia simply shrugged, further confusing her. "Well, two of our three maximum slots for magic have been used." Isaac just nodded. "I think we should look into grimoires, maybe gain another type of magic."
Isaac peered at his sister's status, while she peered at his. Even so, Isaac whistled, "Damn, that is a long chant for a spell like that."
"Well, compared to some, this is easy," Irene boasted. She practices her chants for spells she doesn't own, but it was practice for Concurrent Casting—or Chanting—whichever floats one's tastes. Some of the spells she's read made her huff out a big breath. There were so many little things in a spell that make it difficult. Spells are finicky because some require precise timing and breathing to pull off, something that magic users don't tell you. If failed, then an Ignus Fatuus is in your immediate future, which is painful and sometimes life-threatening.
Isaac scoffed, "Of course you'd find something like the most complex spell to ever exist easy. Can you believe her, Dia?"
"Goddess Dia, Isaac. Would it kill you to treat her with a shred of respect?" Irene chided him yet again.
"Probably," Isaac said, but a wink flew in Dia's direction, telling her he was joking. Of course, he respects the Goddess, he just knew Dia didn't like being put on a pedestal. "She knows I respect her, which is why we address each other by our first names."
Irene huffed, "Fine, but what was the cause of our growth? This seems too fast…"
"Is it because of this skill?" Isaac inquired, his eyes drifting to the bottom of his status sheet. This new skill took place first when reading, unlike his other skill, Heat Barrage listed second. His magic didn't change, as he already knew about them. Still, two in a row.
Dia answered, "Yes, and I do not believe I can ask the other Gods about this, as I fear they may try to poach you from me. Call it possessiveness, but I'd rather not lose any familia members unless they pass from age."
"Poach us?" Irene and Isaac asked, one with a concerned tone, and one with a dark tone, and not necessarily in that order either.
"Indeed, the Gods descended from Tenkai to be entertained, while some do follow that, others were truly interested in finding out how you all lived in Gekai. Some Familias will stoop low to get the members they want, even eliminating the familia outright, or go by the 'civil' route and declare a War Game."
"A War Game?" Irene questioned.
"Save that for our next task, Ira," Isaac said, gazing over his sheet one last time. Irene did the same.
Once they were satisfied, they put their sheets down to stand up, "Well, we were planning to go to the library and research about Orario, since we still know little to nothing about this Dungeon City."
"Would you allow me to accompany you?" Dia asked, moving her hair out of her face.
Irene answered almost immediately, "Of course, Goddess."
"More the merrier," Isaac said with a dazzling smile, his hair getting in his line of vision. The trio of Dia Familia exited their humble abode and headed to North Street. Today was a day for information.
At the highest point of Babel Tower, sat one individual. This specific individual was the epitome of grace and beauty. Her very being screamed she could make a man melt by her mere presence. Her charm was potently effective against anyone and everyone, even her fellow Gods. This person sat with a glass of wine in her off-hand, while gazing out over Orario. Her outfit covered some of her body but teased enough of her skin to catch anyone's eye. The flower ornaments in her hair only added to her beauty. Her eyes a shining silver, peering over the top of the said wine glass like she was giving a toast to some imaginary banquet.
With her ability Discerning Eye, which does not violate Ouranos' policy of using their Arcanum in Gekai, she can look at the souls and see a color, even their brilliance. One soul already caught her eye, a clear soul. Not to say it was a color, but it was transparent. A soul she indeed would look after and eventually claim.
With another look around the city, she saw something most intriguing, prompting a voice to be heard, "Is something the matter, Lady Freya?" The voice belonged to a behemoth of a man. To be truthful, he wasn't a man, but a Boaz, a type of boar. Still, he towered over the woman who was his Goddess, standing at 6' 11". His alias was simply King. The only level seven adventurer in all of Orario.
"No," she finally answered after a moment of silence. "There are two more individuals who have caught my eye."
"Shall I investigate?" Short, sweet, and to the point.
"There will be no need, Ottar. I wish to observe them more first," Freya said whilst taking a sip of her wine. These two souls spoke volumes. While their souls had a color, unlike the Cranel boy, their souls spoke more than they ever will, at least for Freya. The male's soul was white with a singular black dot, but this dot was not of hate, but of love and devotion. The female was similar to the male's, except it was black with a single white dot, possessing tranquility and determination. From their souls, she could feel that these two were related, but they also possessed such potential that it made her thirst for more, if not the same level as the clear soul.
"As you wish," he replied before stepping back, closing his eyes, and blending in with the background.
Freya giggled like a schoolgirl, blushing all the while; either from the wine or the thoughts she was having, "Such wonderful souls, you will be mine, of that I am sure."

Futago's Maindosukēpu: This allows the user to speak with their twin, an exceptionally rare spell, only works on blood-related twins. Fraternal or Identical, there is no difference. Uses very little Mind, and can be used for long-distance. No chant required; like flexing a muscle, the user thinks, and it activates, helpful in stressful situations.
Orb of Divine Healing: Replenishes Mind and heals injuries, while also giving the affected target a small boost to their status. Cannot cast on one's self. However, the user can only cast it once safely without the risk of Mind Down, twice if their magic skill is above Rank E. Chant- Oh humble Goddess, I beseech you. Bless thy vessel with the strength to carry on. Allow this extension of your will to be thrusted into a new age. Heal, I beseech you. Through the stars and sky, I wish the light of day be graced upon those worthy. Heal. Even if I fall, let those who receive live to fight. I beseech you, oh humble Goddess, Heal!

Futago's Maindosukēpu means, or so I hope, Twin's Mindscape, an original magic spell, or skill, help me decide.
Ani means brother (Being older than you). Imouto means sister (Younger than you).
I could be using the wrong titles, so those fluent in Japanese or have an understanding in terminology, please correct me.
Dia is pulled from DanMachi Orario Rhapsodia, just in case you were wondering. I had to use other elements most don't know about.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this, because this will be the first anime I have actually read the novels for. This is great! Now, I hope you like my OCs and what tiny details I left of their backstory, I had fun creating them and all of their original skills (some for the future have yet to be revealed). I do realize giving them Liaris Freese or Realis Phrase if you've only seen the anime, may cause some animosity since it takes away from Bell's unique skill.
While I want them to have the skill, the reason for them getting it I left out. However, I'm not going to have them be boosted a ton because of it, as their status update was a surprise and only because of the time between their updates was the jump so big.
This was originally going to be a one-shot, but my mind was like "You can do so much more with this" so I'm going where it takes me.
Fun Fact: I had like eight different tabs open on the Fandom Wiki just to make sure I was writing accurate information. I would not like to be roasted over a fire, thank you.

Edit (3/15/2021): I realized on Irene's sheet that "Spirit Healing" was listed as a Skill when it should have been under Development Abilities. I realized this while writing the later chapters. I also implemented them having three developmental abilities, so when it shows up later, do not be surprised.
