Chapter One

A Dark Past

The year is 5000 B.C. Twas once a time of new beginning for the human race for it is a time of guidance and creation and leading the colonies of humans is the Anunnaki: a group of 50 otherworldly deities led by the wisest of their kind Anu. By taking possession of several humans and animals, the immortal beings ushered in an era of peace and prosperity. But there can be no light without darkness. Out of the fifty Anunnaki, thirteen heretics didn't want to guide the human race. To them, they saw the human race as weak and feeble-minded creatures that could be conquered.

Deep in the bowels of the active Mount Kilimanjaro, a tall and armored being stands upon the edge of a cliff within the active volcano. But this being was no man nor Anunnaki, this giant creature was a Korvakian: a fallen Anunnaki. Worse, this Korvakian was the most merciless and cold-hearted leader of their kin. Holding a brick of gold in one hand out off the cliff, he tosses the solid brick into the reddish-orange magma and watches as the once invulnerable cube slowly liquefies with the lava itself. Whispering in an ancient dialect unknown to mankind, the steel-plated Korvakian removes one of his indestructible gauntlets from his right hand and removes a razor-sharp dagger from his rugged belt. Through a swift and sudden strike, he cuts his shadow-black hand with green blood steadily gushing its way out of his exposed flesh. With a few drops of his blood falling into the molten lava, the smoldered gold magically flies its way out of the lava, mixing into the blood as it begins to take on a permanent shape. When the smoke settles, the gold solidifies itself into a golden-green magic scepter with a pearl at the top of the staff with bat wings surrounding the magical orb. And into this Scepter, he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all life. The evil entity reaches out to his newly created weapon and grabs it. Within a second, he lifts the scepter in a moment of pride and victory for he had created a weapon worthy of a leader. An Emperor.
