A proud Englishman, and you'll see it in the way I write, I'd wager.

I read PJO and Harry Potter, though I doubt I'd ever write the latter - don't ask me to, it won't happen.
A lot of my writing will involve military history - it's a big interest of mine, so that'll be a large focus of what I do. I should also mention that I have a little issue with over-researching things, be it mythology or history. I'm very particular about what I read due to that, and I'd hate to be a hypocrite.

CombatTombat, 17Falcon15, bronzeandsteel for PJO, all of them are great guys too, all significantly better than me at this kind of thing.
TheBlack'sResurgence and DarknessEnthroned in particular on the HP front, can't say I've chatted with either of them though, but I certainly enjoy their work.

Do tell me what you think of what I write, I'd like to think that I'm vaguely competent so we'll see how that belief holds up

And you can quote me on this - I will NEVER write a chaos story. There is certainly something in the works that may appear to participate in that trope, but I certainly hope that it wouldn't be seen as such.
