"Naruto…You know I'll always love you,right..?" Ino and Naruto were laying on a hill, admiring the stars that shone so brilliantly that night."Of course.." He replied,,kissing her forehead softly. "I know..I just wanted to hear you say it again.." Naruto smiled "I love you.."
5 months later
Ino walked into her home with a sob. Her body was shaking with grief. "Ino, honey, what's wrong?" her father asked worriedly. Ino whispered into her father's ear. When she finished, her father's eyes widened and tears welled up inside of them. He hugged her tightly and began to cry. "I..need to tell Naruto..he needs to know.." Ino cried into her father's shoulder.
Later she arrived at Naruto's house to find him training,"Oh Ino, I didn't see you there..Are you okay?" he asked, noticing the tears falling from her eyes. Ino walked to him and dropped to the floor.
"N-Naruto…I..won't be here much longer…" She sobbed. Naruto's face changed to a worried visage. "What do you mean, Ino..?" "I…went to the doctor today and.." she paused to wipe her tears, " They said that I have cancer..I've had it ever since I was seven..That's what he told me…he also told me..I only have a month to live.."
Naruto couldn't take it. He put his arms around Ino as he began to sob also."NO! YOU CANT LEAVE!" he cried. "Naruto.I'm sorry…" Ino said getting way from Naruto's grip and backing away. "I cannot take it anymore.." she said. Ino pulled out a kunai and held it to her neck, "INO!" "Naruto…..I love you.."
End Flashback
Those were her last words, she had sliced her throat. Naruto cried out in anguish as he began to cut himself with a knife, trying to rid himself of the pain. Losing Ino hurt him more than any wound, more than any torture. " Ino….I'm coming to be with you.." He slit his throat and lay there lifeless…
Now he was at peace.
