A/N: This is a poem about my original character, Karma, who lives at Wyvern's Court. Her mother is half cobra, half wolf and her father is half panther half wolf.
She is the main character in Karma: Deformity is a Curse, which is the SEQUEL to Namid: Dancing Among the Stars.
This is in her POV on her and her lover, a half-blood dancer in the Nest, Acelan.
I cherish this moment, already lost in time
And when we break apart, I know we'll dance again
Tomorrow.
Drums beat
Lost in a heartbeat
Is what I feel
When you and I dance
For freedom
For the rushing glory
That surrounds me
I live for it, I dance for it
With you.
Yet it is with me most of all
When I sit by the fire, among the dancers
My supposed legacy
I feel the utmost harmony
With you.
I never knew such a strong emotion could surface
At one touch, one kiss, one word
And I let you hold me, enfold me in your warm embrace
Shadowed by your golden wings

With the drums beating
The flutes trill
With me and you

The moment fading out
Snuffed like a candle

Spiraling through the air like the plume of smoke
When I place my hand on your chest I feel the drum
The adrenaline that drives us to dance
